Know Your Baby Birth Type Delivery
Hey mums, so does your baby hate their car seat?
Understand why this happens.
This can be a struggle if you want to go out and you're worried about putting them in the car seat, but you want to get out and you want to do some things.
So, there's particular babies that don't like the car seat, and I think it's helpful for you to understand that because if this matches up to your baby...your baby birth type, then at least you can understand that you're not alone.
This is common, because some babies love the car seat, and if you use the baby birth types, which I go through on lots of my videos, and also on the online course, then you can match that and understand why your baby loves the car seat, hates the car seat, hates laying on their back, loves laying on their front, and these kind of things.
Loves this hold, loves this hold, hates this hold, hates that hold.
So, it's down to their baby birth type and the way they were delivered - very often.
Lots of things I say don't fit every single baby, of course.
Every baby's different, so it cannot fit every single baby, but there's big patterns, so it fits most babies, okay.
So, a baby that hates going in the car seat is usually a meerkat baby birth type.
Stiff and arching, and they have had usually a long stressful delivery - maybe forceps maybe ventouse.
If that doesn't quite fit your baby, even sometimes if they've been low in the last stages of when you're carrying them.
So, that sort of baby is meerkat, stiff like this, doesn't like the car seat.
The car seat is curved like this but they're like that, so they're like this and you have to put them in and they're like: "I don't want to go this way because I'm stiff this way!"
So, the car seat is the exact opposite shape of the one that they're comfortable in.
To help this, you want to calm them down and relax them, and that could be through cranial sacral therapy, baby massage, cranial osteopathy.
Now, the opposite - babies that love the car seat - they could be a little frog baby birth type, as I call them.
This is a baby that comes knees up all the time.
Usually, it's a very fast delivery - a c-section, planned c-section delivery - all very fast.
So, they're curled up inside you.
They fly out - ping!
Curl back into a little frog.
So, remember what I said - the car seat is curved, and they're curved, so they drop into that car seat and they're happy in that position.
So, the two sorts of baby birth types love it or hate it.

The meerkat description was so accurate to my baby/ labor.
This makes so much sense ! I had low stress delivery and I carried low for a while towards the end of my pregnancy. My baby would sleep more on his stomach than back.

This is really helpful, thank you! My baby cries constantly in the car and I wondered why. He was delivered via emergency caesarean after 40 hours in labour. He arches his back every time he goes in his car seat and that explains why.

Very helpful! I thought my baby just wanted to be held all the time, but she had a traumatic birth and was very low for weeks!
Maybe some gentle treatment from an osteopath might calm them :-)
Help baby hates carseat preciptious birth total 1hr start to finish. She flew out literally no pushing.not engaged until labor started then very quick no moulding what so ever on her head . Had popped veins in eyes. Super good baby sleeps well very calm. In my baby wrap a lot. She isnt stiff or particularly tucked in.

If it was an emergency c section then your baby could be a “Little Meerkat” as I call them. They are quite stiff and don’t like car seats. Have a watch if the Little Meerkat” videos.

@@cy620 hey, so they are usually a Little Frog. Babies And curled in a ball. They might actually like car seats however some don’t like being restricted as they are generally ratty. Watch the Little Frog and planned c sections videos. Also you just correct your babies gut bacteria. That’s the most important thing. My last 3 were all extremely fast deliveries and only dropped right before birth and they all LOATHE being in the car....
Hey, have a watch of my videos about fast deliveries or "planned C-sections" or "Little Frog" as these babies are similar. These might describe your baby better. Fast delivery babies usually hate laying on their back, prefer their side and are very wired and ratty. :-)
