Vaporizer Humidifier Sound Effect (good for sleeping - ASMR)

Something different - a vaporizer sound. When I was a child and had a cold my mother would put a vaporizer/humidifier in my room. The sound of it would lull me to sleep. One day I recorded the sound, which you can hear in this video. The old vaporizer has long since been thrown away. The accompanying photo is not the same humidifier that we had, but it is a vintage one that may have had a similar sound. The one we had was longer and green in color. I do not recall the brand name, but I used it in the 1970s. To this day I sometimes put on a CD of the vaporizer sound and it helps me fall asleep.

This is why I love UA-cam. Recovering from a respiratory infection and used my sister's for a few days. Hers is new, four times bigger and absolutely silent. It got me to thinking about the one we had when we were kids. I was born in June 1974 and my sister in February 1982 so I'm pretty sure it was this exact one. I remember I absolutely LOVED the sound of it, put me right to sleep., although this one seems to sound a bit louder then ours did. But you definitely woke up damp lol

I have two Hankscraft vaporizers, both model 240 like this one. I love using them, so relaxing and even nostalgic for me. Unfortunately, though, the audio in this clip is really harsh, overly trebled and oversaturated, so it's not all that calming or sleep-inducing. I love the Hankscraft 240, so please try again and look into getting the best audio you can.

@@CowSaysMooMoo LOL all you want, dimwit, but if your humidifier sounded like this you wouldn't use it. You mean you can't HEAR that this audio is crackling and harsh? It is unpleasant and not relaxing. It is not true white noise that a normal humidifier makes. Notice a lot of other comments saying the same thing, that it's like a truck, or a motor going bad, etc.? But you go on and pretend like there was something laughable or illogical with what I wrote. Stupid twit.

We had the same vaporizer. Like you, My mother would put one in my room, tuck me in my bed, Feeling safe and loved, the sound would send me off to sleep 💗

it never lulled me to sleep. it was loud like a truck and i hated it. but we had one to.

Same for me when I was a kid. I think it had something to do with the fact that I couldn't breathe, but it was pretty loud. For some reason now the sound gets me to sleep (maybe because I can control the volume -- and can breathe).
