The Stupendium is probably the only “Fan-Song” channel that I can watch completely unironically. It has a level of polish in both the music video and lyrics.
Hi, this is the Sans actor from MOTI's Undertale Musical project. Any comments, criticisms, and opinions on that take of Megalovania (+ the portrayal of Sans) are fair, and I understand where they come from. I appreciated the casual humor about it all. Being reminded of the impression or impact of a piece from over 5 years ago, in the recent, present day though - woof, haha. (In the context of what the topic of the video is covering, I get it. The work's still around, people are free to still weigh in and reflect on things from back then) Looking back on the pinned comment from eons ago, it was originally in response to the specific outpouring of the more inconsiderate negative comments within that circle and the specific audience we had at the time. Sometime ago, I had realized in hindsight (even way before seeing your vid) that THAT specific comment you highlighted (out of context) must have sounded defensive in response to literally any criticism, which isn't quite the attitude I wanted people to gleam from me in general. I do appreciate criticism and feedback esp. where I can use it to better my ability. I care about the quality of what I try to do, and have been trying to learn and improve steadily since that timeframe (I've gotten a lot more particular about timing well, too). I was very new to acting + singing digital performance at the time, and Sans was my first major character role in anything. The Man On The Internet Hopes And Dreams' Frisk voice sounded so much like a chipmunk I made a compilation of Hopes and Dreams, but it's only the Frisk parts, and it still f*cking makes me laugh.
One fan song youtuber that I remember watching awhile back was this guy called Radix. Back during the height of Undertale's popularity, he used to make covers for Undertale songs, before deleting his channel and leaving UA-cam shortly after.
radix is still around i believe! he goes by Khamydrian iirc and he has reuploaded his undertale covers. that megalovania cover he did is still so fucking good.
I do unironically love some of man on the internets videos. Sometime's I really enjoy their lyrical choices. My favorite is probably their genocide version of another medium "evacuate". It's able to make the song feel creepy without having to force it. I think for me I like fan songs if they add to or amplify my feelings on the song/ thing it's attached to. There are some I find grating but I think OK Vocals can be elevated by the lyrical choice and how it portrays the characters
When I was in middle school I was completely fucking obsessed with Man on the Internet's Undertale songs to the point that I transcribed and memorized most of them. This was before the genocide route songs, which objectively suck and only exist because Megalovania is popular and people wanted it despite the Sans voice actor being the weakest amongst the entire cast. I was pissed off about the Megalovania cover for months afterwards and now you've reminded me so I can be pissed off all over again
Slamacow actually went on to work with Laura Shigihara (the lead composer for Plants VS Zombies) on a series called Farmer in The Sky, based on the game Rakuen she developped.
4:03 holy shit, thank you so much for putting bozo dubbed over in here, LMAO. I genuinely paused the video and was shocked to see it in here but immediately began to laugh like an actual clown. This video is hilarious.
I always loved how The Megas would actually play new versions of the songs they cover instead of just singing over them, I know it's a lot of work but if people who did these "X the musical/with lyrics" videos tried their hand at that they probably wouldn't be so stilted and awkward They're an actual band and don't really fall into the realm of 'UA-cam fansongs' but I still felt the urge to mention them because more people need to check out some of their work, like they seriously managed to do one of the best portrayals of Proto Man/Break Man's character in Mega Man 3 in a cover of the short ass weapon get jingle from that game
As man on the internet's #1 apologist I can't lie a lot of this is right, most notable with the boss songs they're like my least favorite part of undertale the musical. Ruins with lyrics will always be heat though
Watching your videos is the visual equivalent to experiencing a half-awake feverdream and simultaneously suffering a PTSD-induced panic attack. Keep it up bossman
I'm 100% with you on your takes about Smosh, I really like their old stuff because nostalgia but they balance "genuinely funny absurdist joke" with "im being blasted in the god damn face with 2008-2014" in a way that makes it hard to champion as genuinely still great. If you have more to say please make a full Smosh video, there's so much stuff to cover and I truly believe only you are fit for the job. We basically grew up with the same stuff except I was the weird kid that watched an ungodly amount of Cracked's After Hours. I don't know if it's anything to anyone else, but it's something to me god damn it. EDIT: Alright now I'm CONVINCED your fucking with me because you've started making Bozo Dubbed Over jokes at literally the exact same time as my friends. You are evil.
To be fair to man on the internet, the undertale songs were his first big project if not his first with lyrics videos, which makes understandable why we went from early undertale fandom cringe, to peak with videos like Zero Two with lyrics or Brobot with lyrics, both summarizing the best parts of the characters while being amazing to listen to, and although not every new song is of that quality, I can tell they are still a noticeable step up.
9:10 "Actually, from the sercuity guard's pov in the song, he's wearing a Feddy fozbear mask so the animatronics are noticing the guy's flesh inside the mask. Duh..."🤓
I’m gonna be honest, I like Man On the Internet, I think the thing I dislike most about Undertale the Musical is that whenever I replay the original game and want to experience it on its own, sometimes I start hearing the lyrics. That being said yeah their megalovania sucks. We Have Megalovania At Home is funny though
I remember listening to the entire undertale the musical and loving it when I was like 9 or 10 but now I look back and I'm like definitely not their finest work
I forget but did we give Stupendium a spotlight? The tf2 most fashionable faction rap is a bop and pretty well voice acted. And then there’s the chalk eaters I believe that collabed with Glados’s voice actress for their valve song count to 3
Dude I'm wasted after a full bottle of jack and you are one of the funniest people on the planet. Literally slapping me knee while watching. Still, love your vids and keep up the amazing commentary.👍
this made me laugh more than the first fan song/nerdcore video!! I love your content so so so much it means a lot to see them with every upload :] also the fact that you used that William Afton dying clip from FNAF VHS is so fucking funny bc my friend Nifty played him and I ALWAYS see that clip in every commentary/fnaf related video I see jhsybd
Whenever I think of Luigi’s Ballad, I never think of the song and instead the story Dan told on Game Grumps of his dad congratulating him and Arin on getting “five million hits” in broken English lol Never heard a lot of Arin singing but he was featured in a cover of Infinite’s theme from Sonic Forces on NateWantsToBattle’s channel and he’s actually really good
I'm heartbroken that he dose in fact, not want to listen to a guy talking really fast to the rythym of a Friday night Funkin "song" I've been paralysed from waist down ever since I was 8. And one day my little brother put this on, It gave me the power to walk up and turn that shit off so I wouldn't lose feelings in my arms. Honestly shame on you 😔
I think people need to realize the fact that fnf songs don't and are not supposed to have lyrics. And yeah you're right it is just some guy talking really fast
This video is what adhd feels like, the constant out of nowhere transitions and changes to the topic is chaotic in a good way. Keeps the video going and nothing overstays it’s welcome
Hey Chaz, thanks for doing videos like this, I love hearing you talk about stuff you saw in the past like these funny youtube fan songs, mostly because I grew up with some of the ones you mention from time to time lol. You're great, keep the great content going.
This video has some of the most chaotic energy ive ever seen, It almost feels like its unscripted and all one take of someone just talking about internet videos with no real pacing and I love it
As a fellow LittleBigPlanet Enjoyer I’ve already been a fan of your use of the music in ur vids. But seeing a callout to such a specific part of LBP online culture shit with the Minecraft stuff made me lose my mind because like you’re totally fucking right. You Get It. It’s awesome
Not sure if it’ll peak your interests as much, but there’s a second layer to the nerdcore genre. They focus on making fan songs for anime, but both communities tend to collaborate with together. I’d seriously recommend you check them out, some of the main artists are Fabvl, Rustage, Dizzyeight, DPS, & Divide Music. A few of these artists started by making video game music before switching to anime.
i love how you made a whole section about minecraft songs and forgot to mention JT Music's mob rap series, which slaps (2 is mid, 5 is best, fight me) also that tally hall bit brought me immense joy
Ok now I know this video is mostly focusing on like fan songs for indie games/mascot horror games and all those creators for the most part, but I just have to mention my favorite music fan artist Aviators. Started out as an MLP fan song channel, became a FNAF fan song channel, evolved into a Dark Souls and general media fan song channel who also makes and produces music based on his own stories and writing. Honestly fantastic artist I could gush about him all day lol. It was his Dystopian Fiction album that really sucked me into the Aviators rabbit hole and I think almost everything he makes nowadays is a certified banger, but most of his older stuff is harder to go back to imo. I think like 2016 onwards was when he really perfected what he does. Huge recommendation from me.
4:15 It's been debated a lot on how Chara is pronounced. For a long time I said it like "Charr-ah", then later I figured "Karah" sounded cooler and might be it. It's supposed to be like the word character, in the same way Toriel is like tutorial. So saying it like "Care-ah" might be the technically correct one. I think it makes the most sense, especially since Cara is a real name.
Oh it’s cool to see Slamacow mentioned, I remember loving his animations! Looking back, I think they still hold up, feels like the predecessor to animations like Alan Becker’s Animation vs. Minecraft series today.
Great video! A general note, David King (Midnight Marinara) always voices Phone Guy/William Afton whenever he's over the phone or having the mask in the FNAF Random Encounters videos. Also, the bite Vanny inflicts on Alexandra would be the bite of '86 or '87 since she starts working there in 1986. Also, yes, the FNAF: The Musical lore is confusing and I adore it.
I got nervous when rap battles were brought up. But more importantly glad Im JT is getting the respect cause even though Ive grown out of most of their songs I listened to, you definitely cant deny the effort they put in its crazy… I also still listen to some of those old songs from back then

Back during the height of Undertale's popularity, he used to make covers for Undertale songs, before deleting his channel and leaving UA-cam shortly after.
He's back under Khamydrian and he reuploaded his undertale covers
radix is still around i believe! he goes by Khamydrian iirc and he has reuploaded his undertale covers. that megalovania cover he did is still so fucking good.
I love when you talk about undertale because it keeps the nostalgia from entering my bloodstream and poisoning me
When I was in middle school I was completely fucking obsessed with Man on the Internet's Undertale songs to the point that I transcribed and memorized most of them.
The Torial genocide song is one of their best ones imo
Caleb Hyles did a better version of a Megalovania with Lyrics imo
But Evacuate is good, i think MOTIs genocide pack is overhated, PON is so good
Yeah, and I am currently obsessed with Deltarune the (not) Musical currently help 😭
@@kauffythesillyStar is also really really good and underrated.
Slamacow actually went on to work with Laura Shigihara (the lead composer for Plants VS Zombies) on a series called Farmer in The Sky, based on the game Rakuen she developped.
Ive been watching all your videos and you just dropped a new thirty minute long one on me, thank you.
4:03 holy shit, thank you so much for putting bozo dubbed over in here, LMAO. I genuinely paused the video and was shocked to see it in here but immediately began to laugh like an actual clown. This video is hilarious.
8:21 RIGHT ON THE MONEY
“I hurt Mister Egoraptor’s feelings!” I guess you can say… you hurt Egoraptor’s ego!
You can’t spell Egoraptor without “ego” after all lol
Honestly though I wish I was brave enough to push myself out there like they have. Mental fortitude is amazing
16:34 For mentioning TallyHall for 2 seconds this video is already amazing
Fr fr
What song is it?
@@huntjetsonTaken for a Ride
Taljyhalky momenty
Tally ball moment
I always loved how The Megas would actually play new versions of the songs they cover instead of just singing over them, I know it's a lot of work but if people who did these "X the musical/with lyrics" videos tried their hand at that they probably wouldn't be so stilted and awkward
They're an actual band and don't really fall into the realm of 'UA-cam fansongs' but I still felt the urge to mention them because more people need to check out some of their work, like they seriously managed to do one of the best portrayals of Proto Man/Break Man's character in Mega Man 3 in a cover of the short ass weapon get jingle from that game
Mandopony really took "love them for whats on the inside" to heart
Smosh came back, and is just as great as before
To be fair to man on the internet, the undertale songs were his first big project if not his first with lyrics videos, which makes understandable why we went from early undertale fandom cringe, to peak with videos like Zero Two with lyrics or Brobot with lyrics, both summarizing the best parts of the characters while being amazing to listen to, and although not every new song is of that quality, I can tell they are still a noticeable step up.
9:10
"Actually, from the sercuity guard's pov in the song, he's wearing a Feddy fozbear mask so the animatronics are noticing the guy's flesh inside the mask.
Tbh I think that MOTI has vastly improved in the quality of video’s I mean Id say that undertale the musical isnt the best example of his work.
I remember listening to the entire undertale the musical and loving it when I was like 9 or 10 but now I look back and I'm like definitely not their finest work
5:28 "the original fallen kingdom"
I forget but did we give Stupendium a spotlight? The tf2 most fashionable faction rap is a bop and pretty well voice acted. And then there’s the chalk eaters I believe that collabed with Glados’s voice actress for their valve song count to 3
Dude I'm wasted after a full bottle of jack and you are one of the funniest people on the planet. Literally slapping me knee while watching. Still, love your vids and keep up the amazing commentary.👍
Those LBP worlds with sackbots singing songs from some kids mic were always really funny to me
this made me laugh more than the first fan song/nerdcore video!! I love your content so so so much it means a lot to see them with every upload :] also the fact that you used that William Afton dying clip from FNAF VHS is so fucking funny bc my friend Nifty played him and I ALWAYS see that clip in every commentary/fnaf related video I see jhsybd
As someone who grew up listening to a lot of Nerdcore growing up this video brought me so much joy.
I'm so happy DAGames's You're Mine made a cameo, it is beautiful, I played it at my sons bar mitzah.
Really glad i found this channel. Your videos are hilarious.
Whenever I think of Luigi’s Ballad, I never think of the song and instead the story Dan told on Game Grumps of his dad congratulating him and Arin on getting “five million hits” in broken English lol
Never heard a lot of Arin singing but he was featured in a cover of Infinite’s theme from Sonic Forces on NateWantsToBattle’s channel and he’s actually really good
22:52 YO I GOT IN THE VIDEO!!! Also, if there's ever a part 3, you should talk about The Stupendium. He makes nothing but fire.
Only (2?) Shima Luan references were made in this video. I’m glad you’re slowly recovering from your chronic addiction chazingtoystory
I'm heartbroken that he dose in fact, not want to listen to a guy talking really fast to the rythym of a Friday night Funkin "song"
I've been paralysed from waist down ever since I was 8. And one day my little brother put this on, It gave me the power to walk up and turn that shit off so I wouldn't lose feelings in my arms. Honestly shame on you
😔
I think people need to realize the fact that fnf songs don't and are not supposed to have lyrics. And yeah you're right it is just some guy talking really fast
ur literally my fav channel ever, not in a million years did i think i would hear the word jwittz and cutemariobros uttered by another person
This video is what adhd feels like, the constant out of nowhere transitions and changes to the topic is chaotic in a good way. Keeps the video going and nothing overstays it’s welcome
Your videos feel like Adult Swim Scott The Woz, and I love it
Hey Chaz, thanks for doing videos like this, I love hearing you talk about stuff you saw in the past like these funny youtube fan songs, mostly because I grew up with some of the ones you mention from time to time lol.
You're great, keep the great content going.
This video has some of the most chaotic energy ive ever seen, It almost feels like its unscripted and all one take of someone just talking about internet videos with no real pacing and I love it
This guy cured my depression
As a fellow LittleBigPlanet Enjoyer I’ve already been a fan of your use of the music in ur vids. But seeing a callout to such a specific part of LBP online culture shit with the Minecraft stuff made me lose my mind because like you’re totally fucking right. You Get It. It’s awesome
Finally, the long awaited sequel to the UA-cam Fan Songs video
Not sure if it’ll peak your interests as much, but there’s a second layer to the nerdcore genre. They focus on making fan songs for anime, but both communities tend to collaborate with together. I’d seriously recommend you check them out, some of the main artists are Fabvl, Rustage, Dizzyeight, DPS, & Divide Music. A few of these artists started by making video game music before switching to anime.
hell yeah they slay the game, divide especially imo, dudes music's on another level
i love how you made a whole section about minecraft songs and forgot to mention JT Music's mob rap series, which slaps (2 is mid, 5 is best, fight me)
also that tally hall bit brought me immense joy
10:45 favorite, part of the video xD
There's a person named miwa watabiki that had her stage name chara
EDIT: japanese fans, the pronounciation of "chara" is "cha-rah"
Oh it’s cool to see Slamacow mentioned, I remember loving his animations! Looking back, I think they still hold up, feels like the predecessor to animations like Alan Becker’s Animation vs. Minecraft series today.
If for some reason another of these videos is made, you need to mention Thai Mcgraths anime intros. That man literally makes videos for EVERYTHING
"People react to plastic chicken ass in the same way sharks react to blood. Once people get a taste..."-Dave Miller
I'm so glad someone actually mentioned slamacow. He made up a major part of my childhood.
"Sans could be Steven but Steven couldn't be Sans" what the HECK?? chaz has NEVER spit fire THAT HOT before 😨
16:33 BRO I LOVE TALLY HALL, TAKEN FOR A RIDE SLAPSSS
13:03 this is in the bible right? in the third day god gave us glamrock freddy
wow, the live action JTmusic FNAF stuff genuinely looks better than what we've seen of the movie so far
I got nervous when rap battles were brought up. But more importantly glad Im JT is getting the respect cause even though Ive grown out of most of their songs I listened to, you definitely cant deny the effort they put in its crazy… I also still listen to some of those old songs from back then
keep up the good work
My god, every single video about some classic youtube topic, it's like you've opened pandora's box, or have awakened the sleeper agent within me. Or opened some repressed memories, as it felt so strong with the MandoPony fnaf song.
Calm down Chazington we're your fans
16:01 Instead of duel of the fates it's duel of the neighbors.
I was hoping so hard that CG5's name would be slandered in this video, but at least Chazington finally talked about Random Encounters
