They thought it was the inside because they thought it made more sense. I guess they didn’t think it was the rind because it was hard as for the sugar I don’t know.
"for some reason I thought we were going to be eating the rind" That's because that IS the part of the pumpkin you eat.. when it's a pie pumpkin. There are different kinds of pumpkins and that first one is just not a pie pumpkin. The sugar content of the rind is very low and it won't taste very good. 6:39 you guys were actually pretty close with the crust idea but you needed more and to mix egg and grinded seeds to make a form of pumpkin meal with eggs to make pumpkin dough
Actually, to be more accurate in case you don't have an axe or a sword, you could use a saw (it's on the side of a crafting table, which is where you would presumably make it
I'd like to point out some "real" chefs bake the pie pumpkin, and not boil it, as baking the pie pumpkin produces a better flavor, and keeps the pumpkin from having a watery taste, as well baking the pumpkin can produce a sweeter puree. This my knowledge on it please correct me if I'm wrong.
Boiling is pretty much never a good way to cook most vegetables honestly. A few green vegetables (beans, peas, broccoli) can get away with it, but that's about it. I would go as far as to say that literally all vegetables taste better roasted than boiled
Crush the seeds, make pumpkin seed flour, and that could work as a crust! Then, add the eggs and sugar to the filling, and the only ingredient that would be missing is butter or shortening, and water.
Actually there are tools on minecraft, they're in the crafting table texture! That's why you can make more stuff with the crafting table than without it
Question I always in my mind... Where do those tools even come from? The crafting table is made only out of 4 planks of wood. No metals of any kind were used, and yet we have these forged metal tools on the sides.
Fun facts: (I think) 1: From what I know, most pumpkin pies, especially commercially available ones, are usually made from sweet potatoes. Don't quote me on that, and if I'm wrong please let me know. 2: In Minecraft, Steve and Alex both have the raw strength to combine cobble and diorite into adisite with their bare hands. The sheer force required to do that would in theory create a lot of heat, so cooking/baking without an oven could actually work. Don't ask me why they dont just cook meat the same way in-game. Maybe it's hard to cook a perfect, medium-well steak with sheer willpower.
Well, it would be a sweet potato pie, not a pumpkin pie. You can't call a sweet potato pie a pumpkin pie. They're very similar in flavor though, and I love them both,
@@rosheafan Ah. Ok so I was wrong, thank you for correcting me there. XD But ingredient mix-ups aside, pie is just good, although I don't think I've ever had a sweet potato pie. I must try one.
