Now give it 10 episodes so we can fangirl over it like Game of Thrones. THIS SHOW WAS GOOD! Despite UA-cam reviewers giving media illiterate takes. There are good bones here. Totally a win!!!
I really hope we'll see Desmond in the second season. This character has been a mistery for almost an entire season. I mean, only at the very end of episode 5 they revealed he is not just Tula's son but basically a version of Paul Atreides. I think a character that is similar to Paul deserves a deeper exploration that can't be resolved in episode 6 given that there will be other stories to tell.
All jokes aside you guys and Quinn etc should be getting cut a check for research and consultation if they use any of your ideas and advice to guide the show going forward. Access and kudos ain't enuff
Agreed. All of them, Danika, and Nerd Cookies should be on the writing/quality control staff. Keeping any of the hack writers that wrote Season 1 and letting them continue unchecked would be a travesty. Whoever wrote episode 5 should never be near the Dune universe and Brian Herbert, Kevin Anderson along with all of their "Dune books" should be placed into a recycling bin. Note: Brian Herbert should also be jailed based on how awful he has treated his father's legacy.
i'm happy they're getting a second season. there are alot of things about this show i struggle with, but i think it can build up to something cool. Rings of Power S2 was fantastic and ahuge step forward over season 1, hopefully Dune can do the same.
@Abu and Leo... This is an early Christmas present that we've just been given! ... When the question was answered yesterday afternoon of whether HBO would going ahead with a second season pickup for "Dune: Prophecy", that news broke in the middle of my watching Gom Jabbar ep 5 Live Q&A w/ Nerd Cookies. I posted the renewal news in the live chat, but I guess you may not have read it before the stream ended. Frankly speaking, I was expecting a protracted wait after the finale airs on Sunday since Warner Bros/Discovery aren't exactly known for transparency on viewership numbers for any HBO or Max series and AFAI Knew, "Dune: Prophecy" hadn't charted even once during the first five eps in the Neilsen ratings. Word was,.. that the series was underperforming in the domestic market, but I'd also heard that the show was doing far better numbers in the UK on Sky and in other international markets. And... given the context of David Zaslav's mandates to cancel existing projects and slash production budgets for all ongoing WB/D TV projects over the last couple of years, even HBOs' flagship series weren't immune ( "House Of The Dragon" and "The Last Of Us" incurred reduced episode counts for their second seasons ). It wasn't exactly encouraging news... I had a hunch that if a second season pickup was in the balance, that its international numbers would be the deciding factor in the renewal decision... I think it'd be interesting to find out what the audience numbers were and how they broke down, yeah?... Anyway, Thanks for all you do here... Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and have a great 2025, you two! 🌲🎁
Hoping for a 10-12 episode season.
Favorite moment: Leo’s face when Abu takes a photo of his setup for the discord.
Love the stickers on his case!

Can't wait to get the Seaon 1 blu ray in my Dune movie collection 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m so happy to hear this 😳 wow… now let’s get more than 6 episodes please
Podcast GOLD! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
That's good, hope they increase the episodes to 8 if not 10. 6 is way too short.
I feel like it was longer than it seems because of the length of each episode. They still had time to do a reasonable amount.
@rini6 Yes, that's true. Look at those numbers, finale is 1 hour 25 minutes 😳 🤯
“The Hidden Hand” (70 mins)
“Two Wolves” (66 mins)
“Sisterhood Above All ”(65 mins)
“Twice Born” (65 mins)
“In Blood, Truth” (60 mins)
“The High-Handed Enemy” (85 mins)

Yessssssss!!!
what the what!! HBO come get your boys!!
Awesome!!
Great, I was afraid HBO was going to yank yet another show (with a cliffhanger) that I got invested in.
Yeah, very cool. Not a perfect season, but definately very special moments and a great cast imo

@@BrianHerbertTryantI like how you got more and more unhinged.
Put that sort of writing in the show and we'll be getting somewhere
