The versatility is amazing, and when you demo'd just how effective they could be, such as panning with head tilt, there's so many creative elements you can add to various genres of music in a simple fashion. Thanks for the video, investing in one of these seems like a true no-brainer - once you get some ideas of how you'll use the effects.
I realize I'm late to this, but your video is fantastic. I will get a hold of this controller sometime in the next year or two (have to watch the budget). I love that it has such versatility. Thanks for an excellent video showing what this controller can do clearly without missing any details. Nice!
Mike, this is fantastic!! Thanks so much for your continued tutorials, always easy to understand, nicely paced, full-featured, and exciting to listen to :D
Clear, concise and complete - very well done. Thank you, nice job. Should be a piece of cake to set-up in REAPER. And I'm pretty sure Father Christmas has received my letter by now, so I should be blowing, nodding and tilting-along with you shortly.
H8 Mikael and thank you for taking the time foe this video. I have a Mac Studio with the new M1 chip, do you think the software for this would be compatible?
Thank you for sharing this! I have a breath controller with an 1/8" jack that I used to use with a MIDI keyboard that had a breath controller input that I no longer have. Do you know if there is an interface that would make it useable for me? Thank you!
Cool! I guess you are interested in getting it? I still use it all the time. Best for woodwinds and brass of course, since they are indeed breath instruments. =)
@@mikaelbaggstrom yes, I'm thinking about getting it sometime in the next few months. I really like the idea of using it for string the swells as well, but yes any wind instruments would benefit from it. Great video, thanks for putting it together
@@mikaelbaggstrom great idea, I think I would try biting for Strings, but I guess it's all about experimentation. Or really throttling back the amount of pressure so I breath can go a long way
Hi! It’s compatible with iOS? I have a seaboard rise, iPad Pro with noise app, and I like to add a breath controller.. it’s possible? Which one of your product it’s indicated for me? Thank you very much
Hi Mikael Mabey a stoopid question but I searched everywhere but couldn't find any answers so I hope you can help me out. What do I do to clean the tec bcc2? I know you detach the mouth piece but what do I do with the unit itself? Thank you in advance! Love your video's
Today it arrived, but I still don't know how to connect it to my Tyros 3. I think it has to go via a PC and a specialized App? Maybe I'm too old (82)? Any help on that would be greatly appreciated, Joh from Australia
Hello Mikael, Can you advise me, Do you know the capacity of this software and will it work with windows 7 ? I guess the breath controller is an independent product to the software which will have to be purchased seperately ? Many thanks for yr help.....
The product is a USB device, so you would still need to convert the signal to standard MIDI for that (unless you have one of those magic synthesizers with a USB port built in)
Very inspiring! Wanted to buy a TEControl'er, but was afraid I wouldn't manage to get it up and running probberly.. I play the Saxophone and a bit of keyboard - been missing a lot of expression on keys.. :) Now I might make the jump :)

Hello, is there a big difference between the breath and bite from the simpler, breath USB controller? Also, as a professional producer, you use this every time you make music? Can this thing replace the session musicians today? Thank you in advance.
Hello! i have a m-audio axiom 61, my concern is where do i install the midi breath controller?? is it into the keyboard ?? or into the computer via the USB ?? thanks.

Please join here, and ask any questions in the community: forum.professionalcomposers.com/ PS. Looking forward to connect with you in the community! =) Sincerely, Mike
Fantastic ! I am planning to buy, but cannot decide between the simple Breath controller vs Breath and Bite controller. Bite controller is more expensive. Do you think it is neccessary ? I cannot play any wind instrument if that matters :) Thanks
After using this for a while now, I found myself using breath perhaps 80-90%, bite around 10% and the tilt and pan...not so much to be honest. I would say you get at least 80% of the upsides from just the breath controller. =)
Í place an order in the TEC control site buy there is no way to close the order with payment, it is missing an pagamento link PayPol. The website should be functional I want to buy buy there is no way to pay the order this is BAD.
Interesting, I see this works well with Virtual Instruments Libraries, but can it work well with vocal (choir) library like Realivox Ladies or ALLURA, ect?
Yeah it is super fun to use, and the results are more "human" if you know what I mean. Because it adds "breath and life" to the performance. Hmm...I have not tried with vocal and choir libraries, but I just checked out Realivox after reading your comment, and oh my that sound was great. I would imagine it would work great for adding dynamic expression to those "angelic" vocal linesI heard from the demo I watched. :)
Would you be able to make a video demonstrating how a MIDI Breath Controller would work with the vocal and choir libraries? It would be great to see someone improve or make those libraries sound more realistic.
This does not work for me, I can see that it's sending data both in my daw, and the setup program for the tecontroller. But when trying to connect it to various VSTS like Session Horns Pro, or other ones that has autodetect midi cc.. it doesn't work..
kennyv123456 I got it to work. In FL studio you needed to assign a midi number to the midi tecontroller then you put the same midi input number on the synth and it works just fine :)
Has anyone who purchased this recently? They don't seem to have any retailers. The only way to purchase it is directly. Shipping is a bit expensive. Return policy is deterring to, in practical terms, "no-return". Sounds great. I interested. But I am reluctant to spend the money on a "gamble".
For Strings nope, I preferred the MOD-wheel in the end. But for Brass and Woodwinds, absolutely. Especially for sample modeling stuff. Then I have the vibrato on the MOD-wheel.
