hello, thank you for sharing ...I have been teaching, coaching and training teachers for more than 30 years. I have gone through a lot. This year i decided to quit, finally...to do something more...something else...maybe to inspire others like you are doing. Great for you.
Wow Mar! Congrats on having the courage to make the change you needed! I would love to help you explore your next steps! Feel free to reach out anytime!
Great story!! This is a helpful channel. 'You seem like a very compassionate/kind person - I love your demeanor! I taught an underserved young adult population ( 16-24 years old) where I taught Math for about decade here in the SF Bay Area. It's very true what's stated on your channel where it's convenient and comfortable to remain in teaching. I did get burned out eventually and been studying ID for awhile. While I like the creativity involved, I do question working with SMEs and feel like frustration will ensue. I been thinking of other areas in Learning & Development that will be a better fit. Perhaps you can provide some suggestions? Thanks.
I'm so glad we could encourage you! You know the best way to explore your options and ask your questions is to join our monthly membership where you will have access to 3 coaching calls a month, a community of other teachers on the same journey, and even a job board filled with other current openings! There are so many roles to explore within the world of ID! I hope you can join us! www.teachertransition.com/member
