anyone elses thoughts on how he holds his gun on his shoulder? Doesn't look a very safe position, even if the gun is unloaded. I would be a bit worried standing behind him.
Purely an observation as I do enjoy your films but editor would have done well to spot the red/yellow Labrador's reactions.Pretty obvious the animal was very unhappy. Dog transportation did not impress either especially on such a day.I know some keepers can unfortunately be quite hard on their dogs.Had good working gun dogs for 30+ years and none have shown that kind of fear or travelled in such a way.Sorry just do not like to see it.I know some folks do sit their dogs out in front of them when shooting.Lord knows why maybe I have missed something ?Sponsors might not be too impressed. Still a good show which I enjoyed watching.
Nice days pheasant shooting, some good high birds, shame about the weather. What model of Deerhunter is Geoff wearing here as I've been to the DH website and cant match it to any of the 45 jackets /simon
What happens to the dead birds? Are they divided up evenly among the shooters or do you keep what you shoot? Geoff does feed his family well. Great videos as always, thanks.
birds are usually paired male/female (a brace) and hung up until the end of the day where the beaters get first pick, then the guns help themselves to what ever is left.
Jasotech plastic wads can create a better shot pattern but don’t biodegrade so are sometimes looked down upon on pheasant shoots due to the amount of cartridges fired as it would leave a huge amount of wads scattered about. This is why fibre wads are preferred by most.
they taste nice and they wouldn't have had any chance to exist if game shoots hadn't released them, they have every chance to fly elsewhere during the rest of the year.
I used to play on the Amiga, it brings back memories of my childhood whenever i see that word. Tasting nice isn't such a great reason since in a way it's prioritizing a sentient life form as less important than the temporary sensation of taste buds :/ However your second reason of them not existing if it wasn't for the game shooters releasing them creates an interesting factor. One that could only really be overridden if they found income through other methods which also involved sharing these beautiful birds with the nation. Maybe tourism by not only releasing pheasants but a whole diverse selection that could exist in perpetual harmony?
What a fruit cake. Men have been hunting animals since the beginning of time for food. If you are so removed from your food that you don't understand that, I really feel sorry for you.
Like the rest of us that are concerned with the dog,how often do you beat that dog it's fucking petrified of you. There's now way you can say you don't. Only dogs that have been beaten behave like that. Shame on the Shooting show.
Thanks for another great show filled with lovely shooting from the man himself!
At 4:00 the blond lab is quite clearly terrified of him. None of our dogs behave like that. Normally love these videos but that left a bad taste.
Great shooting, and great shots on camera!

Always scares me when people on pegs have a closed gun under there arm
Open gun is a safe no excuses
When the guns get soaked from a rainy day outing what is your standard procedure for cleaning/ drying out? A complete tear down ?
Very cool videos. A hug from Brazil.
Who's the bloke shooting at 17:39. He looks like an amazing shot
@theshootingshow I thought the cartridges were 28G 17:11

What's wrong with the blond dog ?
pim1234 I love the shooting shows videos but yeah, that is not a dog that is being treated correctly. None of our dogs behave like that.
pim1234 was wondering the same thing but i thing the were just to tight with training nothing like jumping pheasants out and so
Nice video, enjoyed that one.

,...and friend's of mine tend to laugh when I use my Mossberg 20 gauge (bore) , I am redeemed by Geoff this time.
Nice shooting day,despite the rain.

What's up with tht creamy labour seems very nervy
How do they know were the birds are gonna fly
Jimmy Gilbert they don't they just try to push them in the direction of the guns
what difference does the type of wad make?
Jasotech plastic wads can create a better shot pattern but don’t biodegrade so are sometimes looked down upon on pheasant shoots due to the amount of cartridges fired as it would leave a huge amount of wads scattered about. This is why fibre wads are preferred by most.
is that a mink at 6:50
no mink are a bit bigger in size than a polecat or ferret. the consensus is its a
muntjac
Good day and good shooting !.

Hi
If we trained dogs our self then
they show us good results
the advertisements are so annoying on these videos, Eley cartridges aren't even that good lol

Shame on the Shooting show.
I agree, that golden Lab was terrified, at 4:05 he was clearly shouting at it, not anyway to get an animal on his side!
We're the only ones here in the comments
It's really annoying me watching Geoff swing his gun up threw his dogs !!! They shouldn't be there really
Second like
Sorry, one of the most boring episodes
