Lol 8.97 vs 9 dKH isn't pretty close, that's bang on dude! Everything looks great!

Travis run your calcium reactor and have it keep the Alk just below where you want it and then use 2 part on a DOS running Trident controlled dosing to bump it up to your target. It gives you great control, the benefits of both the reactor and 2 part, the ability to slam on the 2 part if you are out of town and the reactor has an issue. as well as a few other cool benefits.

After having to pay to replace my energy bar 832 and one of my WAVs dying in the move I am not jumping for joy to give more money to Neptune right now. At some point I will most likely get one but I will wait a while and let everyone fix any issues. I despise being a guinea pig if it costs me money. Keep telling it like it is. I want a no BS review on the Trident about 6 months from now. :)

Mine has worked really good...for a while there once the reagent was below 20% it started giving crazy calcium readings, but i think Neptune fixed that issue...other then that 👌🏽

Honest and unbiased reviews.....that’s what I love about your channel. thank you FishOfHex for avoiding the freebie/kickback overrated reviews.

Just wanted to let you know your phyto is awesome Travis. Every time I pour a capful in my tank all my acans and Euphyllia have max polyp extension soaking it up. Great product.

Nice you will love it !! And I have my test tubing in the same as my dos lines and I have no problems and they are in opposite sides. But I can't wait to see how it does for you. Thanks for the video !!!

I've had it a few months now. I wish you could increase ALK test frequency without increasing Cal and Mag tests. I try to remember to make, out of band manual ALK tests when I want ALK more stable or on point. You WILL ALWAYS have more A reagent than B or C

    • @brandonreidy6989
      @brandonreidy6989 4 роки тому

..."more stable on point" only applys when using automated dosing. I use calrx and DOS but only 50ml per day just for fine adjustments

I just installed mine about an hour ago. I figure if I do everything you do, I should have awesome results! And I agree, definitely seems flimsy for such an expensive product. Hopefully it works well.

Just fyi, you can’t change the size of the sample line! I think it’s says somewhere in the manual

Been using it for almost 2 months. Using the Reef Chemistry Calculator and dosing exactly how much it said for my product the Alk has been spot on accurate. Calc has been off here and their. I broke off the part that "snaps in" on the one link cable. Apparently its impossible to get it out if you don't. (Defect in the case housing) 😬

Dear God, the amount of equipment you guys use to maintain high-end coral systems. I sure hope you have an adequate sine wave inverter system to power this stuff when your power fails. A simple generator won't do it. You'll destroy your electronics. I'm a retired biomedical engineer so I'm not completely ignorant about power backup systems. This stuff is neat.. but kinda scary to me, given that I just want a simple, mixed 75g tank. Awesome vid. Thanks

  • @SuperLefkowitz

I don’t keep mine above the tank or sump. If the bottles were to leak or crack the chemicals would be bad for the tank.

The production and distribution of these has really turned me off. Short supply is one thing but having retailers bundle them with huge Apex packages is a huge screw you to those of us who have already spent thousands on an Apex ecosystem

@@Robbla4550 Search youtube for Trident sound videos and you will see what they sounded like when they first shipped. They are near silent now with some very faint whirring and clicking. They used to sound like R2D2 was in your house. I've had one for over a year as I was part of the NSI group.

Its say on the Trident testing alk. Than second step cal & mag. So a assume they test bot at same time but whit some mag regen and cal reagean togeter and if you switch regean you can also contaminated the inside tubing, i dont know why we should do that. Neptune say they test and you need reagen i trust. Same result whit my salifer alk ,cal, mag. Love mine and i would never try this.

Don't add this system if you barley have coral unlike F, O,X. Who has a lot and i mean a fully stocked devoloped tank of coral. And needs this system to help maintain alk, cal, mag. Otherwise for a nano, or anything lower than 75 gallons this system is over kill.
Just proves how lazy we are and are just pushing for tchnology to do everything. But forces us slowly to get out of tune with our tanks Because we can easily rely on a system even subconsciously, because sitting back on the couch and having a beer, is better than being connected with our tanks? ... hmmm. Hope you enjoy this system just don't get lazy because of it. :)
