A very underrated country music singer/songwriter. I met Darryl back after her just started getting popular. Amazing sound and more of an amazing man. Rip bro
I just found your channel. So glad to see to see the honest reactions
Thanks...... Awesome song more awesome voice. I could see that this song touched you he has a way to do that, The music video was very good adding some meaning to the song ....
The video really captures the true meaning of the song I’m not sure they were married but I think that was his plans she wrote off
When God gave Darryl his voice he broke the mold. He was leading the charge to bring real country music back. Don you should react to Darryl singing that's why I sing this way.
Watch the original video with the old soldier. You will get a real emotional reaction seeing that. It gives the song more depth. Love your reactions!
❤this
This man had an amazing vocal quality. We lost a great singer much too young. I've heard this song by some of the old greats and even MO Pitney. This man absolutely OWNS this song.
I filmed Mo singing this song at The Station Inn. Great song.
He was a great singer, only once in a lifetime do you get people who can sing ballads like that and my opinion he is one of them along with Keith Whitley and also Alan Jackson and there is more!
What a sad song. We lost a beautiful voice way too soon. Thanks for sharing Don Take care
Daryl Singletary, a voice and talent who has been taken far too early. Such great work he has placed into these songs.
Wow,b you can just feel it by his voice, great job!!
This was one of my most favorite songs on the radio during my sixth grade year around late 1997 - early 1998. It's hard to believe that a pure country song like this could actually still get played on the radio then. It doesn't seem that long ago! I've always loved Daryle Singletary's voice, and this one was definitely one of his very best, imho. It's such a shame we lost him at such a young age.
Great reactions. This was probably Daryle's best song, so, so good. I see you've reviewed a few Mo Pitney songs. I'm a fan of Mo's also. Mo did a great cover of this song that you should check out and review. Tears your heart out.
I'd like to request Alan Jackson -MONDAY MORNING CHURCH
I loved country AND western music since I was young, and this was one of my favorites growing up. I distinctly remember my older sister, who was into pop rock crap, one day watching the music video with me on GAC, and saying that that song and video is so sad, why do you like that? I was 15 at the time, and said that that's life, how can you not like it? Of course, she didn't get it, she's still an idiot, but what are you going to do? This is what happens when you take adult music for men and then cater to women who don't know shit, we get Taylor Swift and call her "country".
Where do u find cd with an Old Violin on it sang by him
Can you review laney Lou and the bird dogs they are an amazing bluegrass band that will make you wanna dance and put a smile on your face all songs are great but I would recommend the devils on my side
Wow, what a song and what a singer! I heard Daryle once and a while on Larry's Diner, but I don't remember him singing something like this. First I heard Lefty Frizzell, but then it was Keith Whitley all the way, and I loved Keith's voice. This is about as country as it gets, which is why I'm so close to bawling my head off right now.
Do his I Ain’t Never Had To Much Fun.. it’s a good time!
always loved this song, a few versions out there, others i've heard are from Gene Watson and Conway Twitty
Was this originally a Lefty Frizzell song?
R.I.P. Daryle Singletary.
Daryle’s power, musicality and lower register make him a country classic! Here’s a request, Daryle and Rhonda Vincent “One.” You’ll love it!
Absolutely SICK the way he and Rhonda pit it together PERFECTLY
9.2 is fair.
Wow, what a great voice! ❤
Watch the video...he died, his niece found the old note, and told Daryle she now knows why Uncle Bob never married.
Daryle is very much missed. A really good friend to Daryle was Ashton Shepherd. Heck, review "Whiskey Won the Battle" by Ashton.
My mom wrote most of this song.
@feeldabern469 That is awesome!! Thanks for letting us know. Have you followed in your mom’s steps and written some songs?
One of the all time great classic sounds. Amazing voice. And my favorite song by him. RIP Daryle. Great reaction, brother. Loved it. Amazing the emotions that music can bring out of us.
Listen to his song paper thin walls
Can you please react to don’t cry Joni by Conway Twitty
So good! (: Singers like him are to few and far between. Daryl sang a lot with Rhonda Vincent. Awesome singer as well.
Really a great one!
I hear a little bit of Keith Whitley in his voice.
This guy knocks this song out, much better than Conway’s version. And I still think you have to do Dickie Lee’s song “Rocky”…
Please react to some MARK CHESNUTT.
What a loss to country music when he passed away.
Daryle was one of a kind. His last album was full of great songs. I suggest you check out Enough to lie to me.
This brings to mind Conway Twitty - With pen in hand.
You should do that one.
Also another request I don’t know if you’ve ever listened to the band Atlanta but if you like harmony like I do she will and picture both of those song a have great harmony. So does their song sweet country music
The music video to this song is sad as hell, however it adds a bit more to the story.
You need to hear his She Sure Looks Good In Black.
Yeah definitely his best song imo.
I like how you are reacting to the song but to know the true story of the song please watch the music video the song isn't about divorce
I think it's more like some other or others may say they love her but she shouldn't believe them because I am the only one who really loves her. I've been listening to this by Conway for 30 years. I prefer Conway's version.
Old violin was Johnny paycheck.bdo better research
@Ronald Sears Seriously? The reference I made was to the other reactions I've done to Daryle's songs, one of which was to his cover of "Old Violin." So my "research" is fine, despite the fact that it's not a research channel--it's a reaction channel.
Please react to Jeff Carsen’s “The Car”
@Dallas Kluesner Did that one a couple of months ago. Here ya go: ua-cam.com/video/fV2RpIwOHNc/v-deo.html
