I’m trying so hard to get my husband to agree to doing something like this - it doesn’t have to be an Overlander, I just want to travel. My husband is 70 and I’m almost that age. I don’t want to spend my remaining active years just hanging around the house. I’m ready to downsize (we don’t need a four bed, 4 ba 3000 sq ft home on small acreage anymore - it’s too much to take care of.)

Well it is a very solid vehicle and the gas mileage is better than other vehicles that do what this one does. I really liked the set up inside. Awesome couple!
I can identify with this couple. My husband and I built a tiny home on wheels (on an old camper frame) and now we spend 50% of our time in it (we are in our 60s as well) while we build a cottage on land we recently purchased. We are doing everything without any financial institutions or finance plans (all cash). It means no luxury items (what many middle class Americans consider "necessities") but we are staying within our means, just like these folks in this video. The camper/tiny house is 98 sq ft (approx 10 m2) and the cottage will be 448 square feet (approx 42 m2). The tiny house on wheels is totally off grid and the cottage will be as well. As long as one is still healthy enough and strong enough (and perhaps has a number of helpful friends and family) it's never too late to start a new adventure like this!

I've recently got myself a expedition truck that I'm modifying before travel, and most of the videos I've seen of other expedition trucks just arnt realistic of what the lifestyle entails, but these guys have done a good job, so far the best of them all.
