    Cool. Love old castles and ruins. So this castle is north of Newcastle. Wow that looks like quite a walk from the parking lot (yup on Google Maps having a look-see of the area). That is a rural area, no wonder there were cows meandering around. I noticed there's another medieval ruin south of Dunstanburgh called Warkworth Castle by the River Coquet. We don't have quite so many castles in Canada (more like castle styled buildings really) and they aren't anywhere as old as the ones in the UK.

      There's loads of castles up Northumberland way. We're off to Warkworth on Friday. Stay tuned :)
