Great to see you and your video again Damien! Missed your brill videos, your drone camera work on this was great. I understand it may be repetitive for your Damien but if it helps we all love your vids. A mix of historical interest, a couple of facts and lots of humour with great camera work! We are all jealous of your trips. All the best for 2019!
I must say its not the camping its seeing a friendly face and your great sense of humour that does it for me and now the history is brilliant kind regards Phil
Druiridge Bay, Know it well. Did a couple of jobs for UK Coal just up the road, all gone now. Fantastic area. Thanks for sharing....Happy Days my friend.
Many thanks for posting that Damien. Recently subbed your channel. Loving all the historical stuff, drone footage and the background sound of the waves whilst getting the stove going. Awesome stuff. Keep up the good work sir and look forward to the next one. ATB - Ben aka 'Londoner Outdoors'.
Just caught up with this wild cam video Damien and noted what you said about feeling obliged to get out and post videos. Ultimately it's about you and we, your audience, are just lucky to be on the ride with you, so do it for you and don't feel pressured fella.....I mean I haven't seen all of the ones you've posted yet anyhow!! 😁 You make uploads interesting, some great camera work, humour and banter which is what the appeal of your channel is to me and I'm sure many of us appreciate the huge amount of time and effort you put in to them - even my kids like 'em!👍👍 😆 All the best fella 🤘
Great video, I’ve seen the logs on the beach, seen the ruin in the fields but thought it was just an old farm building. Great bit of local history thanks for sharing. All the best for 2019
G'day Damien, A new sub of yours , that is thanks to my Beautiful friends over your way, Deb Hatswells and GPE n Co..those types of gorgeous humans! Love this first video I have watched to date, I really get your sense of humor so well !! happy days my new friend 😉
Damien.......!! Bloody hell man, I thought that bigfoot had finally got you. Great to see you back oot and aboot, Brill video once again, look forward to you and the adventures next year. Happy Christmas and a Great New Year when it comes bud. I ment to say....... This year with your videos, I've had some Brill nights watching them with a beer, they have been great and I would just like to say thank you very much bud. All the best bud.
Damien, great UA-cam channel. We have been following you for some time now and really enjoy your content whether you are in the Lake District or closer to home in Northumberland. By the way, your drone work is outstanding and we would love to see more of this in the future if you can fit it into your itinerary. Finally, we love your county so much (especially the magnificent coastline and castles) that we have written an ebook travel guide called "A Northumberland Travel Companion" available on the iTunes or iBooks store. Keep up the great work. We look forward to the next one.
My mother-in-law from Workington and me used to fight over the turkey legs at Christmas, (and Thanksgiving here in the US). Your video brought back some fine memories. You made the most sense possible.
Two thumbs up, my good man. Have to admit I’ve missed seeing your videos in the last couple of months. I live in the states, but have relatives from over in Guthrie. Thanks for sharing those special places.
Great to have you back Damian great vid as always thanks for showing us the ruins . The beach looks like the one Scottish wanderer goes to lovely coastline all the best to you and yours for 2019
Excellent video bro I liked all the content and learned something of the local history too. A sandy beach is my special place on this planet. All the best for 2019
I really love when you show us and tell us about historical things. The music while touring the chapel was awesome. I really enjoy your camp videos, but you could just show us some historical things without having a camp and that would be fine as well. I thought that dog was coming in your back door while you were filming in the tent. LOL.
You make a good point, its nice to bring other things to the channel but sometimes feels like I'm trying to fit too many things into a video and it gets a bit stressful lol.. I didn't see the dog until editing but remembered hearing a dog whistle. Thanks for commenting and ATB for 2019.
Love your videos Damien. Always interesting, informative and humorous. Well worth the wait. Keep enjoying your other interests, 'cos you can't have too many. Best wishes for 2019. D.
My favourite bit of coast for tarping or car camping, you can see a video or two of Scruff , Sharen and me on the small cliffs up there, dog walkers through the day but after sun down privacy until morning and plenty of drift wood for a fire, which doesn`t seem to bother anyone.
hola mr. fell wanderer! i just found your videos and i love them! i live in northwest mexico in a very different climate than you and i love to see your part of the world through your eyes. your videos make me laugh and i enjoy them so much! what i like the most is your positive and happy attitude towards your life and what you are surrounded by. i plan on watching all of your videos and i hope you continue to make more. there is something very special about them! thank you for sharing them! and yes, your camping videos are where it´s at and you know it makes sense"!
Glad to see you back Damian. Love the videos with just the right mix of information, humour and entertainment all thrown in. I’m originally from Northumberland (Hexham) but emigrated many moons ago so seeing these transports me back to happy times. Ever fancied doing a wild amp around Elsdon with its scenery and history. Many thanks once again and aal the best .
There is an old tower in Elsdon so interesting place. I will have a look as that place is in the back of my mind for some reason, thanks for your comment
That would be the pele tower. My cousin used to live in part of it. She now has a guest house in Otterburn ( The Butterchurn ) I’m sure she would be a good source of info.
So glad to see you back mate, have to confess I was missing my FW fix lol. Totally get what you mean though and sometimes it’s just nice to not have to worry about pleasing everyone else. Another fantastic location as well, the Northumbrian coast is spectacular, been round Bamburgh and Holy Island a few times myself. Hope you have a good NY. Look forward to the next one.
Hi Damian, another lovely, interesting video. I am learning quite a bit about Northumberland since watching your vids. Knowing the names of the places you show us means i can also do my own research on the old buildings etc. Loved your camping speck on the beach too, pity about all the people tho haha. I look forward to seeing more of your videos throughout the year. You don't half make me laugh too with faces you make, its hilarious haha. All the best for the New Year, take care.
Great video Damian .Always mean to get up that way .But with the ny moors only being 15 mins away generally wander that way .Saying that had a wild camp 2 days ago in gunnerside Gill .Up towards the old mine .Not been out a great deal in 2018 been very busy with work .But definitely out more this year .Enjoy fella
Nice video Damien, well worth the wait and they're getting much slicker. Thanks for taking the time to share. The Fire dragon can be used like soap can't it?
Great to see you out and about doing videos again mate. Really good to see the historical bits too, I love seeing places like that, I didn't know existed.. My personal experience of firedragon is it is great for starting a fire in bad conditions, but doesn't burn long enough to make a brew, unless you use several blocks....and its not that cheap. A nice clean burn though. . All the best for the new year.
Dude, I was given the firedragon tabs as a gift, they are good and clean, they wont burn long enough for some tasks. They didn't boil 500ml of water the first time I tried but the second time with less wind they did ok. They are more expensive and I recon they are more for special missions where you dont want smoke or smell giving away a location, a kind of gel meths?.. Thanks for your comment, ATB for the new year, Damian.
Great to see you again Damien, and waffle as much as you like your always a great uplift. Cheers mate. Atb. Harry
