  • Ask an Ex episode #36! In this interview, we're welcoming the inspiring go-getter Tim Roberts from Queensland, Australia, who quit smoking with the Cognitive Behavioral Quitting (CBQ) Program on July 8, 2022. His transformation has been nothing short of incredible.
Tim smoked his first cigarette when he was 14 years old and smoked on and off for over 50 years. Throughout life, he also became addicted to alcohol and food. He was a "perfectionist emotional cripple," and vices became his go-to coping mechanism. Even though Tim eventually quit alcohol, he could not let go of cigarettes.
When Tim was ready to quit smoking, he joined the CBQ Program and became a happy non-smoker. Soon after his quit date, Tim used the CBQ Program also to change his relationship with food and lost 28kg (60 pounds)!
In this episode, Tim openly and generously shares his journey, including:
    - Why deprivation is the antithesis of the recovery.
    - Lessons from his past attempts to quit smoking.
    - Why he could not quit smoking in the past, even though he had very important reasons to stop.
    - How to best do the CBQ Program.
    - Why yoyo diets and fad diets caused him to gain weight.
    - How Tim used the CBQ Program to change his relationship with food and remove his food addiction mindset.
    - What type of diet change worked for him.
    - Tim's reasons for choosing the CBQ Program over other approaches.
    - And special wisdom and advice for anyone struggling to quit smoking.
Tune in to be inspired and gather valuable insights that could help you or someone you know to become smoke-free. Enjoy!

      Good for you! Yes!!! 💜
I’ve owned it for two years and still haven’t pulled myself together to complete more than day 1 🥴
I wish there was an app which made it easier to access as I’m an older person with only a phone.

@clancycreations...it's a drug. You HAVE to fight thru it!! It robs you of your OXYGEN, raises your BLOOD PRESSURE, demands Nicotine from you - at their beck and call - very Inconvenient times!! I no longer wanted that control over me. It's a DRUG!!! And Drugs can kill you!! I stopped March 10 2024. I was absolutely dumb the first day. No brain cells .couldn't even add 2+2, - not even kidding!! Then, full on tiredness... It's almost outta my system now!!! It's been 12 &1/2 weeks!! 👍👍 you can't EVER take one hot again! Like she says... NOPE means - Not One Hit EVER! One hit will get you hooked again! #DONTDOIT ❤️ Good Luck to all 👍

I checked out the forum of live venues you had performed it's unbelievable but the asking price for being cured from your program is pretty steep so on your behalf is okay if I stick with the regular program that you provide for free on the Internet I don't mean to upset anyone all I got is lint balls in the future I shall be able to join ❤
