Such a great video Kiki! Such a great resource for people on their weight loss journey. I know your videos contributed to my 70 lbs success! You are such a light in this world 💕💕
I am looking forward to trying this waffle 🧇 recipe. My waffle iron is 81 years old! It was my late Parents wedding gift. It was built to last. I wish more products were built like this. Less waste. 👍🌎🌱
We bought a high end wash machine & the drum cracked after just a few years. Instead of repairing I traded it to a thrift shop for a 70's Kenmore! Steel drum. built to Last! 💝
Hi beautiful KiKi! Love your chanel soooo much!!! You inspire me every day and I'm 68 yrs just started on the Starch Solution! Anyway, please give me a link to your waffle maker!!! I want one too!!! Sending you love & light from Kenosha Wisconsin 💘💘💘💘
That ranch dressing is to die for! If you don't want to spray your waffle maker with oil ,you can use two pieces of parchment paper. One for the top and one for the bottom. I also do this with my cuisinart griddle/panini. Easy clean up.
Kikki, I want you to know you have been a big help in my husband and I weight loss after going Vegan. He's down almost 30lbs and me 13lbs. We did this in 4 months. Thank you!
the egg salad is sooo good I added some chopped celery y some minced red onion to it for a little crunch amd some chopped pickles- sounds weird but it tastes exactly like egg salad tasted like (what i remembered it tasting like) i topped mine with pickled jalapenos
Your channel is so well done! The content is so crisp and clean and professional, I am glad I have you as a resource thank you.. I love living a plant-based lifestyle, it makes you happy mentally ,physically ,and emotionally.
You and Chelsea Mae have helped me so much on understanding calorie density…including vegan mama and others out there. I’ve been able to lose weight this way and still enjoy eating healthier. Thanks for what you do!
Kiki, I have to say how impressed I am with your channel! I’ve been a fan for about a year! You have been on that next level game lately though!!! 😍 Seems like you have really refined your style as a UA-camr and the content you are making is so good, straight to the point, so visually appealing, so inspirational, and wholesome! ❤️🤗🥰 Absolutely love it! Thank you for sharing your life and healthy lifestyle with us! Been eating this way for a year and am down 34lbs! 🙌🏼 Thanks again for the inspiration! ❤️
I ordered mini waffle maker just to make potato waffles and I’m glad I did! So easy and tasty! I love how crispy outside and soft inside. It’s much better, healthier, easier than deep fried waffle fries. Thank u. :)
16:22 Iodine, zinc and selenium are the 3 vitamins important for hair growth. I personally have always taken a multivitamin, ever since I was a child. I've never heard of getting too much vitamins, because anything your body doesn't need it just releases through urine. I have heard of vitamins that don't actually get absorbed, especially pills, so I did switch a few years back to taking a liquid multivitamin, and I definitely notice a difference.
My husband used to hate tuna salad sandwich, but I started making chickpea “tuna” salad sandwiches with a good amount of dried dill, and he will request it now!
Love your website; beautifully laid out. I love your "what I eat in a day" videos. Even though I watch all your videos, written down all your recipes, bought your books, etc; it's your personality that is so inspiring. Watching you prepare the foods reminds me that, "oh yeah, I haven't made that in a while" or "wow that meal is so simple to make". You're an inspiration to anyone trying to go whole foods plant-based. Also, you're so authentic and honest with us, and give such great tips and how to's. Thank you for all you do. I love your channel, as well as Plant Fig Meg.
Thank you for the bomb recipes. I cannot wait to try every one of them. And thank you for the hair thinning supplement. I am having the same problem with my hair. My husband is complaining of my hair being everywhere.
Great ideas. I try to eat vegetables in the morning, other than the spinach in my smoothie. But the smoothie wins most of the time. I am 60 and have been on the WFPB lifestyle for 8 months. I'm 30 pounds down with another 30 to go. I like the chart you created. I'll look for it on your website. I have 2 charts on my fridge that are similar. Love your videos! And I need to shop for that Colorado company bread as I'm in CO. I do not eat bread often because I don't really like sprouted Ezekiel bread. I will try it toasted though as I have some in my fridge that hasn't been eaten by anyone else in my family. Linda
loved this particular video because it shows the meals much better and longer and with text, really good. Food videos should always be made up like this, and the music is pleasant and serene. Thank you, Kiki
Recipes look delicious but what's prompting me to to comment is to thank you for reminding me to check Cronometer (food tracker app)to see if my copper was several times higher than my zinc once again. Sure enough it was! Experiencing hair loss AGAIN. Learned years ago that the ratio of zinc to copper needs to be equivalent otherwise hair loss will result. Ugh! When did life get this complicated? Back on the zinc for me, and thanks to you! 😊🌸
Kiki, my family and have I switched over to plant based eating in the last few months because my father had a stroke last year and we're trying to get health back in order -- your youtube channel has CHANGED this for me. I cannot thank you enough. My mom is Italian, and a chef, so she's increidbly talented and creative but, we've been following a meal plan from the program we're doing because we wanted to stay on track as much as possible and let me tell you: the recipes are AWFUL ... we've been choking down bland, flavorless meals. These meals are like what people who make fun of vegans think vegans eat. Then I found your channel, we have hope again!!! Your meals are gorgeous, I'm so happy we found you! Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you Kiki the last three times I try to go vegan after a year the problem that always had is a lot of hair loss I will do my tests and try again with this this supplements!
Thank you so much Kiki! I love your recipes, your simplicity, your manner of presenting, your cookbook and your birth country. So glad to have found you. You really are a blessing.
I almost thought it was alopecia areata from the thumbnail pic, that’s what the derm said I have. So glad Complement worked for you. I started my family on them a few weeks ago.
As soon as you listed all of the vitamins you were deficient in, right away I said, "Complement!", THEN you brought them up as what you found to take!! 😃 Great vitamin, I was impressed with them as well, (and NO, I am not a paid sponsor of them either!!)
As a Diabetic for over 20 years , my diabetes educator was telling me the same thing, eat your high carbs and starchy foods at the end, it will sustain your sugar levels. Ive had to do this at every meal. It works..and keeps you feeling full longer so no overeating..great video, new subscriber here
Kiki, I love your videos and you are a true inspiration! I switched to a vegan diet about 18 months ago, but I did reintroduce fish back into my diet about 6 months ago. I didn’t feel like I was getting the nutrients without it. I will say that I purchased some Kelp powder for the iodine properties. As I am 47 and had a ‘thyroid’ scare 2 years ago, I am aware of maintaining good thyroid health. I put a little kelp powder in my soups and Asian dressings (in lieu of fish sauce), along with B12, zinc, and vit D3 supplements. My recent bloodwork showed all levels were tip top perfect, including my thyroid. I believe in trying to obtain vitamins and nutrients from food as much as possible rather than pills. I’ve never heard you mention Kelp in your recipes, but you might want to check it out. Keep the videos coming ❤️
Hi Eliza! Awesome to hear you're thriving! One thing to make note of - instead of getting the important EPA/DHA omegas from fish (which also comes with pollutants, toxins, hormones, and saturated animal fat which isn't good for the gut), you can skip the middle animal and go direct to the source: micro algae! That's where the fish get it from. Micro algae EPA/DHA is also in the Complement Plus. It's so important to make sure your levels are optimal and this is the purest and most direct way to do it! Have a great day!
Ooohh I can just imagine that chickpea salad with a teaspoon or two of curry powder in it…it would taste just like curried egg salad then. Ty Kiki for your amazing food ideas 😍
I had hair thinning, too! It was about 2 years into being really on point with my vegan diet, and I too ALSO didn't take any supplements for the same reasons. I have since found a good supplement and also focus on making sure I have a good protein source with every meal. I'm new to nutrition so I'm not very good at making balanced meals. Luckily there are a ton of great plant based protein sources to choose from, I just needed to make sure I was including them in my meals.
@@mrscliquot Sorry, yes! It did! It also helped my menstruation cycle symptoms, too, so I think it was something I really needed to do for overall health.
@@ruth27gtz that's a tough question! There are a lot on the market, including the one mentioned in this video. I am definitely not qualified to give out recommendations. I would say be sure to do your research because it's not a well regulated industry. Also a blood test helped me figure out what supplements I needed/where I was lacking. I look forward to my yearly blood panel to see where my numbers are. They've been getting better and better since starting a plant based diet :)
@@kristinpothast i have been low on vitamin D, B12 , and Amino acid. I didn't even think about the importance of name brand until I sat down with the nurse for my follow ups and she asked what brand of vitamins i took. Nobody had ever had me that before. I just get what's at Walmart that i see. Hard to determine what company is authentic. Use to take ritual but the cost became too much for me.
When I got into healthy cooking a few years ago everything was about pink sea salt so that's what I used. This caused my iodine levels to drop and my thyroid to not work properly which caused major hair loss. Once I added in iodized salt again my body started working fine again. It was scary not knowing what was wrong with me at first. Who would think something as simple as iodized salt could be so important to your health.
Hi Kiki this is perfect timing for me. This is the second time that I have gone whole food plant based and the reason that I stopped the first time is that my hair started coming out in handfuls and my Dr was of no help. It has started again and I really don’t want to go back to eating meat so THANK YOU for doing the research. I placed my vitamin order just now!
I have been wanting to get into a plant based diet but couldn’t seem to find a variety of meals that appealed to me until now. Your recipes look easy to make and delicious. I can’t wait to make the egg salad as well as the cheesesteak recipe. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m hoping to lose 20 pounds but even if I don’t, I will enjoy these recipes along the way. Oh, and the potato waffles, yum!
Great video Kiki! Quick question: Where can I find the black wrap top? I know that you have done a workout clothing haul before. I look forward to your blog. Thank you in advance!
To solve hair thinning I just go to snack nut aisle in grocery. There are small packets of seaweed/ nori snacks. Don’t get the Annie Chung brand, yuk. I just eat one sheet (Simple Truth brand) a week and my hair is thick. Now my guys eat a sheet once a week. They taste good. It tastes like a rich salt. I get the sweet and salty flavor. Both my guys, young and old, have ALL their hair. I even got my eldest to reverse his bald spot in six months. The iodine in seaweed boosts the thyroid, which helps hair. Also, helps the outer corners of eyebrows if they are gone.
Those potato waffles sound like a nice change of pace for breakfast from the usual oatmeal, I don't have a waffle iron for now and was wondering if I could prepare like pancakes
You are truly an inspiration. I love all your videos, follow you on Instagram and have purchased several Kiki and Kiki recommended products. It’s easy to trust you because you seem to be doing this from the heart. I can’t wait to try all of today’s recipes. 💕
I recently was having no energy every day. I too was worried about the thousands of percents of b12 in my dr fuhrman vitamin so I just took it once a week or so instead. Well I watched a video from one of the fok doctors about how important b12 was so I decided to take them regularly. I can't believe it, in two days my energy is back. I'm a person again!
This video has come just in time for me. I have been looking for a good multivitamin. I just turned 45, and I decided that it was time to put away the gummy vitamins. I have had issues with nausea from multivitamins in the past, so I had been using gummies for the past 10 years. I am hoping that the Complement brand will be a good fit. Thank you!
Hey Ree! Let us know if you have any questions at all about Complement Plus! We have had many people switch from nauseating multivitamins to ours and say that our multi doesn't give them stomach issues!
Hair loss can be just due to weight loss, extremely common a few months after you’ve lost a significant amount of weight. This explains why women often lose hair a few months after giving birth as you lose weight very quickly then also.
After giving birth hair loss happens from the hormone shift. You’re correct about the weight loss when it’s in large amounts too quickly. Any shock to the body can create a hair drop. Surgery, high stress, trauma… Thankfully all of these issues are temporary. 💗
From what I know it looks like hairloss after giving birth but during pregnancy the shedding is next to nothing due to pregnancy hormones and after delivery everything goes back to normal hair shedding wise so it looks like wow that is heavy shedding but it is just 9 months of barely shedding and then suddenly it all starts up again.
Kiki, please give us the link to the caloric density chart you referred to in this video; it’s well thought out and I’d love to post this in my kitchen and keep in my purse. And by the way, this video is one of the best videos you’ve ever done. It helped me finally realize I’m not really sticking as close to the plan as I believed. I’ve been over indulging in eating whole grain breads and granola with tons of nuts and seeds. I’m looking forward to readjusting my eating habits and using some of the recipes and suggestions you mentioned in this video. Thanks for the encouragement to stick to the 50/50 plate. Lisa🕊
You can copy Kiki's chart right off your screen. Go to the place where the video where she has the chart, pause the video. Put your cursor at the top left of the chart. Hold down the windows key, shift key and s key together and let go. The screen will darken a little and a white + will show up. If using a mouse, hold down the left button, if using the finger pad on your laptop, hold down the left side with left hand finger while pulling the cursor over and down to outline the chart with a right hand finger. When you let go it has been saved. Go to a word document or text document and paste it and print it!! If these instructions are not clear, Google "Snipping Tool" instructions. Good luck!!
Thanks pda, I may have to settle for a screen shot right now. That chart is one of the best I’ve seen because it puts highly calorically dense HEALTHY foods on the red warning side, like avocado, nuts, and breads. I need this posted everywhere to re-program my brain. All the best!🕊
You are so amazing! I tried to follow this way but Im very impatient and weightloss was snail slow so Im doing a plan that works best for me and when I reach my goal I will follow this way of life🌿 Thank you for all your video's guapa and all that you do to help others❤💃🥰
Strange the thinning of my hair only started when I gave up all dairy, meat, poultry and switched over to Starch Solution? Taking B12 but not any difference. There is a shortage of blood phials due to Covid here in England 😔
Kiki what air fryer do you use and do you like it? Looking for a good quality air fryer. Mine is too tiny now . Lol any recommendations would be great. Thanks !
I’m enjoying watching your videos as I’m looking to maybe try and lose weight this way but the hair thinning is worrying me, is it related to a fat free diet at all? Thanks
Literally was just talking with a friend about hair fall. I own these vitamins & just forgot to take them. I definitely will start now. Thank you Kiki. Ps. They are the only vitamins that never make me nauseas. Great product
I can personally attest to the peach vinegar from Rocky Mountain Olive oil Co that it's the BEST vinegar I've ever tasted!! Game changer for me and eating more veggies
You're amazing! Thanks for all the great recipes, links and information and down-to-earth authenticity. Your videos are fun to watch and your recipe e-book is fantastic! Thanks Kiki!!
It's wise to supplement judiciously to avoid a deficiency, rather than mega dose of course. Are you taking a vegan DHA supplement? You look very good and healthy. I'm inspired by your diet and lifestyle.
Kiki, what non stick pan do you use? I stopped using them because of the toxins and switched to stainless steel, but I would like to have a safe non-stick pan to use. Thank you!
Another great video with yummy meal suggestions! Can’t wait to try them. 😋 I’ve been taking those vitamins for a couple of months, and I think they’re helping. I’ve noticed less hair loss.
Woo-sster sauce (with the "oo" pronounced with the same sound as "book"). Hope that helps! Thank you for another great video - and especially for the thing about hair loss because I've just started to have a similar issue. Bloodwork is apparently normal for the usual things, but I know it wasn't tested for vitamins, so I'll make sure I'm supplementing everything that might help. I'll do my research first of course, but thank you.
Hi Kiki, in my journey to cook oil free, I noticed your cookware is non stick, is it also stainless steel or another heavy metal?! If so can you link where you purchased it ?! Ty so much for sharing your journey! I have about 50 pds to loose and I’m over 60 so wish me luck!!! 🙏🏽☮️💟☀️😊🙏🏽
I lost 63 lbs doing a 50/50 plate and not limiting fruit and it was between when I was 65 and 67. I’m almost 70 now and although I added back some seeds (can’t have most nuts) I have maintained my weight. You can do it.

Seriously, who’s the hater that unlike 👎 this videos. … Thanks Kiki for taking your time and share those delicious recipes with us. 👍👍👍
I'm just looking down the comments and see Michelle's comment just about this!
Surgery, high stress, trauma…
Thankfully all of these issues are temporary.
Lisa🕊
I think she said in a last video that she actually made that chart. But not sure.

Where did you get your potato masher? I have looked for one and haven’t been able to find. Thanks for all you do! 🌹🙂🌹🙂🌹
Lovely food, don't feel like your missing out.
Thanks for this. I just ordered this vitamin and I hope that it works.
Hi yummmmm 🥘 what do you dye your hair with ? Box color or a salon 💇♀️ thx ☺️
Strange the thinning of my hair only started when I gave up all dairy, meat, poultry and switched over to Starch Solution? Taking B12 but not any difference. There is a shortage of blood phials due to Covid here in England 😔
I live in pa and we have Ezekiel bread 🍞 it's great 👍 I got my husband eating it 😁
Everything looks amazing! Your knives are always nice and sharp (lol). You'll have to give a knife sharpening tutorial.
Yes, Kiki if u can do lunches n dinners u can take to work! Most of us do hve to work! Ty!
Kiki what air fryer do you use and do you like it? Looking for a good quality air fryer. Mine is too tiny now . Lol any recommendations would be great. Thanks !
You are great at explaining stuff. Thank you.
Excellent video! I can't wait to try these amazing receipes!
How long did it take for your hair to go back after starting the multivitamins?
6 months
What pan are you using Kiki?
Hello kiki is tofu okay to eat ?
I’m enjoying watching your videos as I’m looking to maybe try and lose weight this way but the hair thinning is worrying me, is it related to a fat free diet at all? Thanks
You got your life together. Thanks for sharing your secrets.
Do you color your hair? It looks gorgeous!
Literally was just talking with a friend about hair fall. I own these vitamins & just forgot to take them. I definitely will start now. Thank you Kiki. Ps. They are the only vitamins that never make me nauseas. Great product
That's so great to hear Michelle! Many people say this about our multi:)
I can personally attest to the peach vinegar from Rocky Mountain Olive oil Co that it's the BEST vinegar I've ever tasted!! Game changer for me and eating more veggies
Awesome video!!! Where did you get that potato masher/chopper? I really want one.
I love all of your videos. Thank you for continuing to share your life and food with us!!!! xoxo
Yum! I frequently use mustard and balsamic vinegars for salad dressing so yummy!
Love the simplicity of cooking that you present.
I would love a link to the pan you used...thanks!
Another very informative video. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us.
You're amazing! Thanks for all the great recipes, links and information and down-to-earth authenticity. Your videos are fun to watch and your recipe e-book is fantastic! Thanks Kiki!!
What brand waffle iron are you using in this video???
Hey Kiki, It was very nice meeting you on Sunday! Hopefully we will meet again. Blessings M
You look gorgeous 😍 great job! I'm starting my own journey of weight loss this will help out so much! Thank you!
It's wise to supplement judiciously to avoid a deficiency, rather than mega dose of course. Are you taking a vegan DHA supplement? You look very good and healthy. I'm inspired by your diet and lifestyle.
i love your energy, sweet kiki! Thank you!
Thank you for this video 🙏🏽
It’s really good information about the hair loss ♥️
Kiki, what non stick pan do you use? I stopped using them because of the toxins and switched to stainless steel, but I would like to have a safe non-stick pan to use. Thank you!
Hi, What about protein on the 50/50 plate if you are weight training?
Everything looked so delicious!!!
awesome. Informative as always. I appreciate the information you share. Thank you.
Let us know if you need support in your research!
Those potato waffles look yummy! I gotta try that. Thanks for the video.
Great video! What non-stick pan brand is that you used for your veggies?
Love the philly cheesesteak option! Great video, as always :)
Hi Kiki, thx for the 10% on the Complement ➕. My 1st bottle is on its way. Question- Is the 10% each time I buy?
Does the flavor change much when you don't add the carrots?
How do you keep the sides of your pan so clean?
