IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING 😢😢😢
IU is mute, not deaf
V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😢

The cube 'Nemo' represents the discrimination towards marginalized people (symbolized in IU being mute and Taehyung being blind in one eye).
They stayed together till the end with their love sustained, free from all oppression and pressure from society.

Here's everything you missed:
1) IU is deaf/mute and V is blind in one eye. IU uses sign language in the dinner table.
2) The cube (the director said it is called "nemo") represents the society which discriminates against people having disabilities or those who are simply different (often considered as misfits) thus eliminating them. (the pile of clothes: The pile of clothes also reminds you of BTS "Spring day"MV which also features it
3) The camrecorder shows how the world would have been if the society didn't discriminate against them. They would have gotten happily married happily.
4) The scene where they are at the restaurant and the scene where she is on stage singing in her wedding dress, you can see how the people around covered in black are all pointing their fingers at Tae and IU (represents how harshly the world judges them especially in their happy moments)
5) The whole mv was mainly shown from the pov of IU. You can see how she always put herself in the danger first and tries to protect Tae, how tenderly she loved him, her touches were so gentle as she saw his normal eye through the cam. But Tae loved her too. At the end of their life, he puts himself in front and tried to break the box. They both are equally scared but when time comes, they can sacrifice themselves for the other. This is true love.
6) IU taps three times on Tae's shoulder during the scene where he grabs her hand tightly. The three taps translates to "I love you" in sign language.
IU is not deaf, as the MV clearly shows. Mute yes, maybe but definitely not deaf. There are 3 scenes that shows ahe is not deaf. The first one is when the stop to catch their breath. IU reacts to the sound of the cube we all hear as it passes over head. Next, inside as they are looking around they both react at the exact same time to the sound of the cube passing overhead and they hide. If IU was deaf she would not have reacted to the cube at all, until V reacted and then V would have had to point or in some way communicate with IU about where the danger was and why they needed to hide. The final scene that proves this is the end of the wedding scene when they are dancing together. Again IU reacts to the presence of the cube a slit second before V does and simply grabs his hand and starts to run away. This scenes are proof beyond any doubt that IU is not deaf.
Literally every major news/journalism outlet has released articles that state that IU was represented as a deaf and mute person in the MV (the director of the MV had made comments too) You can google it.
"IU reacts to the sound of the cube we all hear as it passes over head. " If you watch closely, it is not the sound she reacts to but the change in the light..the shadow cast by the cube and the "sound" is the vibrations it emitted as it passed by. We know that because in the last scene when the cube turns red everything around them starts to distort and vibrate (you can see the same thing in the scene where the cube enters the wedding hall)
"Again IU reacts to the presence of the cube a slit second before V does" In that scene, they both do not have their disabiliies ; Tae is not blind during that scene (look at his eye) and IU does not have the lip ring on her lips..that's why she is singing in that scene.
So your theory does not make sense in that context.

This song makes my heart melt. For someone who hasn't heard IU songs a good start would be to check out her track 'Lilac' it's a great summer song and very catchy. Plus she's a great actress so her acting is always flawless.

The camcorder serves as a filter and allows imagination to roam freely. Everything is imagination through the camcorder.
Reality resumes when you see their wounds and tattered clothes.
In the end, the two of them are seen ascending to a better place through the camcorder, while they are eradicated in reality.
So sad. So beautiful. So brutally real.

The cubes are trolls/ media. In the MV, she is deaf/mute, he is partially blind - it may seem there is no fathomable way these two can understand each other. This video is dedicated to artists, great Korean idols. The cube represents the Korean music and film industry, where every artist is under threat of social pressure, where one wrong move can ruin their careers, where they can be intimidated by the media and end their lives, living under stress and constant fear. Through the lens of a video camera, artists, idols of many, are beautiful and happy, but in real life they are very vulnerable. The Industry sucks all the juice out of them and then throws them away as if they were old and unnecessary clothes. In South Korea, the big music lobbies have a way of treating artists that is scary. If they see that they are good and successful, they take everything and more out of each of them, becoming ruthless. But when they have been exploited to the point of exhaustion, they leave them aside like broken toys. More than one artist has ended up committing suicide. Everything is very sad. At its end the trolls/ media come to consume another artist and fandom and discard it like a pile of clothes and IU is ready to fight but V (the fans) steps in front of her to defend her and their bond, but they are met with a bitter end. A sad reality every artist must face someday. She sheilds V's good eye to protect him from the inevitable. .😭😭😭😭
