IU and V did such an amazing acting job. I keep getting emotional each time I watch it.
IU is most respected and loved artist and the actress in SK. She debuted when she was 15 years old and has the title of nation’s little sister which is only a few top celebrities can have this title and this means she is that much recognized and loved by the country. You would love IU since she is very caring person and donates so much and treat everyone with respect. Her songs and MV’s have so much metaphors, you would need the explanation to understand them. She is the idol of all idols and celebrity of all celebrities.
Never fails, tears flowing before the vocals and throughout the entire song. Such a beautiful song and video.

I knew this mv was going to be excellent, but I didn't expect it to move we all like this. The tenderness (almost innocence?) between them was so disarming. And then the hopelessness of it all... I was so immersed that I could feel their fear and despair.. V and IU's acting and chemistry are so excellent. I loved the fact that Taehyung was not the stereotypical fearless male lead. That man was terrified (he acted it so well!!) and that made everything, including his moment of bravery, feel even more real.😢❤
V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭❤❤😮😢❤
IU is the deaf one and Tae is blind in one eye. So proud of Taehyung. He was amazing with his acting as was she. This is so mesmerizing. 💜
No matter how many times I've watched this, I break down and cry every time it gets to the moment she covers his eye. The way her voice soars is also so emotionally evocative. Beautiful acting.

This was a beautiful reaction Brian… IU’s voice was magical as was Tae’s beautiful delicate and exquisite acting. The visual combination of the two were insane. To see Taehyungie’s ethereal beauty and soft, gentle adorable self while he’s away in the military was so heartwarming too. Really missing him. The story of the MV was also beautiful to me, in a society that marginalises and that others many people simply for how they were born… and tries to prevent them from loving. As the director said in the interpretation guide they released, they are running away from the cube that discriminates and oppresses them. IU having difficulty in communicating due to a verbal/or hearing impairment (the chain on the lip) and Tae having a visual impairment and only being able to see the world with his left eye… both have difficulties in communicating in the dystopian world they live in, but rely on each other, doing things they’ve only ever dreamed of but was not available to them. The camcorder being the filter of love. The symbolism of the suit and dress being the cliches of love. In the final camcorder footage being transcending and freeing themselves from oppressions and discrimination. The two most powerful parts for me were IU covering Tae’s good eye to protect him, and hidden in the lyrics… ‘All Love Wins’. And ‘Love is All Love’ After all all love is love.
Also important to note the song lyrically is dedicated to IU’s fans who have accompanied her through out all the highs and lows according to the letter she released before this release. Her letter was very touching. It’s also a message that in the age of hate, love truimphs and is always more powerful.
For some healing and comfort I highly recommend the episode of the palette with V called ‘Vegin Again’. One of the most wholesome interviews you will ever watch and the cutest. Thanks again for this lovely and touching reaction. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This MV is the most tender, touching, loving and sad at the same time, I’ve ever seen!!

There are so many layers of story telling and metaphors and the director has explained what the storyline is. It’s a beautiful way for him to convey the message. In addition to this one part of my interpretation is based on the fact that Tae is blind in one eye and has burn scars around that eye. You can see at the beginning he is looking vulnerable, fragile and afraid. IU is leading him and is protective throughout. My interpretation is that he had encountered the cube before and narrowly escaped being captured and so is going through all the emotions from it. At the end, you see IU trying to protective him by picking up the metal bar because (to me) she knows what he went through and wants to protect him. And Tae taking the bar and attacking the cube looks to me like he knows what the cube is capable of and despite his fear of it, he wants to protect her. At the end it didn’t work and you can see the cube glow red with heat and smoke coming off their bodies (burn marks around his eyes). The ending was so poignant.
The song was amazing and felt more epic because of the storyline and visuals. They have great chemistry, first with the amazing duet they did on IU’s Palette and now with their acting skills, not to mention their interactions as friends. It’s so good to see Tae being able to express his acting skills even in a 5minute short. I hope he starts doing movies on his return. This movie really makes everyone feel emotional and they did that with their facial expressions, truly stunning. IU is queen for a reason and Tae our idol of idols never disappoints in his unique take on life and the choices he makes, whether to make an album of music he likes or to act in a short film all choices with a sad, emotionally moving ending. He wants his artistry to move us emotionally rather than hit the top spots on charts. Love these two artists. It’s time to stop calling this kpop.

The acting top tier. IU is top tier vocals as always. Yes she tries to protect him and he her and she covers his good eye so he wont witness the ending. And if you see closely V has a tear running IUs hand and then her tears. Every single time ive watched this its so emotional. You can watxh behind the scenes from both IU tv and Bangtan with Vs version. Both good and watch. There is also an explaination about what the video is about or more like a statement from the director. But at the end says its up to o es perspective. So you could take it as you wish but to me is no matter what you go through you stick to the end together. No and b3yond. Because no matter what love over comes all the hardships.
Those people can be the haters, those who were always against them, hating on them, pointing their fingers, if you watch closely, when she is "singing" on stage in this dreamlike vision, they boo her, but she keeps on singing. I saw u get a little teary eyed Brian. Don’t worry, a lot of us had that same reaction. IU’s beautiful voice and the amazing chemistry IU and Tae had really draws u in. If u liked this song by IU, you should check out another song she did with Yoongi called “Eight”, another beautiful yet sad song. Some say that song was like a letter to her friends that had passed away due to suicide.
This MV is a Masterpiece!!! V & IU are close friends in real life, hence the great chemistry between them. There are so many different ways to interpret this MV but ultimately its about love. IU and Tae did an amazing job with the acting. I watched the Behind when IU recorded the song, she was so sick, and still blew those vocals away.

IU's voice sounds majestic and their acting felt so real. Glad that IU asked Tae to shoot the MV with her. They have been close friends for years. They filmed this 1 week before Tae's military enlistment. Tae was also shooting his Compose Coffee commercial during this time. Because when one of his close friend, Park Seojoon (actor) and Producer Na (from Jinny's Kitchen, one of Taehyung’s show) visited him on the set of his Compose Coffee commercial shooting, Tae said that after the shoot he will go directly somewhere to film another one. Both of them are well respected in South Korea for being true to their craft and their kind personalities. These two were given National Titles by the Korean Media and netizens. Thanks Brian, loved the reaction! The people with their faces covered represent people in society who ridicule marginalized persons for whatever reason, just as the cube represents society as well. People are inherently cruel sometimes when dealing with marginalized persons. I think IU and Tae's acting was top notch and I sincerely hope the MV will win all sorts of awards at the end of the year! Just and FYI, there are 2 behind the scenes you might be interested in...one by IU which is about a 20 minute or so video and one on Bangtan TV which is considerably shorter. Unfortunately I understand that all too well. My daytime job I work at a place that assists people with disabilities, we have over 40 homes we cover and many clients.
No matter how many times you listen to this song, it doesn't get easier and you do not get used to that empty feeling 🤧 Their love was different from what world tells us to be a normal love, and yet it was the most beautiful thing they shared between them, till the very end ❤

Of the 3-4 reactors I watch, you’re the first to notice the behaviour of the other people in the room. I’ve been a fan girl of IU since before the inception of BTS and just love her voice.😭 I’ve cried almost every time I’ve watched the mv.
Tae is such a great actor. If he CHOOSES to act in a movie or show, I hope it’s a character that lives.😂 I don’t know if I can watch him die a 4th time.
IU is deaf and V is blind from one eye. The cube is killing anyone who has a defect, born with a disability. The clothes everywhere are from the people that the cube (maybe society) has "killed " just because they are different. The camera shows what could have been their lives had they been born "normal" (normal based on society). This is what I've read about the mv hope it helped! Thank you for reactiing! In Star Trek, the Borg were the bad guys that popped up off and on. Their ships were big cubes. They would 'collect' you and integrate cybernetic parts into people and link your mind to 'the collective'. When I saw the cube I immediately remembered the dreaded alien Borg Collective that destroyed worlds.
Such a beautiful and emotional video featuring amazing acting and vocals that makes the experience so personal. I really do hope that Tae & IU do other projects together both film and music as they have great chemistry and when he was on her show their voices also blended so well. Also at the end it was pointed out by someone that he can hear what is coming but she can't, while she can see what is coming but she covers his good eye so he can't. Both cry at the same moment though and from the same left eye. Also the right side of his face seems to have burn scars so maybe he had encountered a cube before but got away at the last minute. This cube was relentless in its pursuit and even seemed to change size so it could come into the building. Earlier when it was flying overhead you could tell no way it could fit inside those hallways. I also noticed the cube waits for them to stop fighting and accept their fate. If you notice there are no other people so obviously no person is able to meet the criteria this cube holds that would allow someone to survive. The camcorder that kept showing a better reality, was giving us the viewer a happier version of the events. They both rise in the air together, their bodies still solid, while the reality is that they have been turned to ash. At the top of the camcorder right before it turns off you see ash particles in the air. I also loved how the clothes landed together on the pile. Again all of this symbolizing that even though they seemingly lost to the cube, it couldn't destroy their love for each other. They stayed together in life and death, so indeed their love did win. I can't get enough of this MV, the acting is Oscar level and combined with the award worthy vocals and lyrics it's both heartbreaking but also heartwarming that at least they went together.
The music video was created by director Eom Tae-hwa, who has worked with IU before and won the 44th Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Director for his film Concrete Utopia. The setting of that film is similar to the setting of this M/V.

Referring to it, you can interpret the contents of the M/V as follows.
* Cube: oppression, discrimination
* IU's lip piercing (speech impediment), V's eyes with disability: shows difficulties in communicating with the world

In the final scene of the MV, the wedding dress and tuxedo worn by the protagonists after their physical bodies are destroyed by the cube fall down, symbolizing the social forms that we consider important and meaningful in reality, and implying that they are not the essence of life. This scene shows the liberation of the main characters from the oppression and discrimination they face from society.
Director Eom Tae-hwa said that there is an interpretation guide for the 'Love wins all' M/V, but that he welcomes various interpretations regardless.
Think about this. If the character of V is deaf, we would have seen him signing, right? Go figure.

The camera shows them what never was. It's tragic that even then all these faceless people didn't leave them alone. The video also makes sense if you think about how many celebrity couples have been torn apart by media and neticens in Korea.

Pretty sure the video shows discrimination and prejudice - both in the form of the cube and the faceless masses that jeer at them and their love. Love still "wins" though, because no matter what, hate cant make it cease to exist. Even after these two (and countless like them, judging by the big pile of clothes) are long gone, the love remains.
All the details you might have missed:
1) IU is deaf/mute and V is blind in one eye. IU uses sign language in the dinner table.
2) The cube (the director said it is called "nemo") represents the society which discriminates against people having disabilities or those who are simply different (often considered as misfits) thus eliminating them. (the pile of clothes: The pile of clothes also reminds you of BTS "Spring day"MV which also features it
3) The camrecorder shows how the world would have been if the society didn't discriminate against them. They would have gotten happily married happily.
4) The scene where they are at the restaurant and the scene where she is on stage singing in her wedding dress, you can see how the people around covered in black are all pointing their fingers at Tae and IU (represents how harshly the world judges them especially in their happy moments)
5) The whole mv was mainly shown from the pov of IU. You can see how she always put herself in the danger first and tries to protect Tae, how tenderly she loved him, her touches were so gentle as she saw his normal eye through the cam. But Tae loved her too. At the end of their life, he puts himself in front and tried to break the box. They both are equally scared but when time comes, they can sacrifice themselves for the other. This is true love.
6) IU taps three times on Tae's shoulder during the scene where he grabs her hand tightly. The three taps translates to "I love you" in sign language.

IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... That thing chasing them is like a metaphor of our current world trying to get in the way to harm or put obstacles on love whomever or wtv it is that you love. I can't remember the exact translation of what she explained but it was something along the lines of hatred being so prevalent these days, like the opposite of love. But to her hatred though is thriving is always alone (the cube imo) while love is always together til the very end (the couple in the MV imo) so it stands a chance in spite of it all.... I'm 36 and my boyfriend is 40. We are protective of each other in different ways. When I first started telling him I'm proud of him for how hard he works at his job, he looked super confused. Then I told him I admire his work ethic. Because he is a disabled vet, walks with a cane, he needs a knee replacement and a hip replacement...there's a lot more issues. And he's in extreme pain 24/7. He had a doctors appointment recently and I asked if I could go. Again he looked confused and asked why. I said because I just wanted to be by his side, and go through this with him. If he's sick I offer to bring food, meds, ect. One day he had a panic attack over the phone and I said "I will be there in 15 minutes". I don't drive due to my health issues, but I found a way over. He asked why I do these things, and I told him it's because I love him....I was confused. Then he told me nobody has ever showed him the love I do, said they were proud....nothing. Which is why he is always confused. That broke my heart. Is that common? Do Men actually live their lifes without genuine care from loved ones? This question is for anyone out there lol. Mentioning you and your wife protecting each other made me think of my boyfriend.

I will say, my wife is the first person in my life who has genuinely cared and worried about me. When we first got together I was always confused as to why she did so much for me, it took me a bit to realize it's because she cares about me and is taking care of me. I had a very rough childhood, I left home at 15 and entered the workforce to pay rent and bills, so I was not used to people caring about my well-being.
Unfortunately, all my male friends are just like me, and felt no love until they found their partners.
