I'm going to start doing this because I've been relaxing my hair for years and I feel like the people at the salon don't really take the time to care for my hair because people have this thing of thinking relaxed hair is easy to maintain, and my hair refuses to go and it breaks easily so thank you Palesa. my and my hair will be thanking you

I love love this type of content and especially how you use accessible products and the fact that you don't shy away from "shampoos" since we are always told the sulfites are bad for hair.

I want to share my methods and reasons so there’s no need to copy my exact routine but people can then form their own routines.
Thank you for this type of content. Love it. When choosing a moisturizer look out for moisturizers without petrolatum, mineral oil and parafin. Those don't penetrate your hair, they coat it rather thus weighing it. That's why the olive oil moisturizer was not moisturizing your hair since petrolatum is the third engredient in it . That's a lot of petrolatum. I think that the dark and lovely one also has petrolatum or mineral oil. Have you tried cantu shea butter leave in conditioner? It is a leave in that can be used as a daily moisturizer. It has light wheat protein. I have been using it for years and it work for me. Or you can try the Mega growth daily leave in conditioner it does not contain mineral oil, petrolatum, sulfate, parabens
Parafin and silicone. I have not used it before but is something I would try. . .❤

@@PalesaM1 that’s so true, we have a shortage of good products here. Try Girl Boss, I have not yet tried it though I saw the reviews and people loved it. They have a range for natural and relaxed hair

Your hair is really kgalising. Thank you for making me wanna go back to taking care of my hair. I don't know what happened to my hairline, what can you recommend I try for that because gives extra good vibes and since I started being to my hair is not breaking and I'm happy. Thanx for motivation
You need to identify why your hairline is suffering. It could be tight braids, friction with hats and pillows.
Give your hair a break and focus on building a good hair care routine

I also just bought the same moisturizer 🤗 my hair is so dry and full of protein, it's not even responding to relaxers any more. 😫😫 I will try out the products you are using since I'm taking a break from relaxing my hair until next year
I suspect my hair has a protein overload and I’m trying to find protein free products in South Africa. It’s not easy but I’ll share what I find

Great favorites! The Olive oil moisturizer lotion doesn't like my hair either it just weighs my hair down it makes it stiff...

Not me screaming when you mentioned cosmetic connection. I love that store. I got all my hair products from there at an affordable price. Which hairdryer do you use? I don't use heat on my heat on my hair because these hairdryers are too hot
Love them! Very affordable store.
I use my hair dryer on the cool setting to avoid heat damage.

It’s a mix of carrier oils and essential oils

For hydrating Deep Conditioners:
Shea Moisture Manuka honey and Mafura oil

Unfortunately these have some or other form of protein in them and my hair is currently recovering from a protein overload so I’m trying to stay away for a while 😊
Hi, please guide on the protein conditioner and hydrating conditioner. Do you protein condition and then hydrate condition straight after? Are you allowing both deep conditioners to stay on your hair for the same amount of time?
You use them on alternating wash days. You hair will tell you if it needs moisture or protein by the way it feels or looks.

If your hair feels limp you have too much moisture.
If it’s dry and brittle that’s too much protein.
I normally do protein once a month and then moisture but that’s just what works for me
