while that would be cool i think the atmosphere is perfect for what the map actually is, that being a town that was literally JUST infected and taken over, not a place that has been run down for years.
Thank you, I was trying to explain this to my brother liberty falls could literally be a campaign mission and I wouldn’t even question it, no zombies vibes whatsoever
@@Slaquery27 Good wifi decent connection, just cause you aren't feeling it doesn't mean plenty of other people aren't. Servers suck ass this year and the online only is making that very evident.
This might be a unpopular opinion: The intro cinematic to Liberty Balls is kind of pointless. We never get to go to the Mansion to figure out what happened to Richtofen. Instead we help this brand new character who has nothing to do with the cinematic or at least I don't think he does. Having Richtofen and the ball that the Forsaken is trapped in , in the cinematic is again useless because they are not relevant to the Easter Egg. Never mind you already covered this in the vid lol
I think the new point system is way better, getting point for kills make weapons that was under utilize like snipers and shotguns way more useful while keeping the other weapons useful.
i definitely believe that Liberty Falls is basically the Camo Grind map. They also need to bring back the original way to get points where any time you do damage to a zombie you get 10 points
I see the map the way I see town where it's just fun play area (just with more things to do) Honestly my unpopular opinion is that terminus is the better camo grinding map
I like terminus but the map is just so empty I don’t go to most of the islands and the main island doesn’t have that much I just play liberty falls to grind cameos and carry my friends through the EE
I think they did the wunderfizz change wrong. They should’ve made the perk machine have their traditional cost if you buy em from their respective machine (Jug = 2500) but then if you wanna get em from the wunderfizz it’s gonna be more expensive the more perks you have
That whole honeymoon phase essay that person wrote… I don’t agree with anything that they said tbh. Also I have no idea how anyone would even slightly agree with the omnimovement sucks thing.
God bless you for not experiencing crashes on bo4s launch….my team crashed like 10 times in the first 13 games…then we tried doing the voyage and blood ee‘s and…… well we bluescreened A LOT
I completely disagree that terminus is for hardcore players. What is hardcore or complex about it? The easter egg is short and easy, the wonder weapon comes from the box, and the pack a punch is insanely easier to get. And the set up is the same as liberty falls.
Wouldn’t the same apply to Der Eisendrache and Gorod Krovi? And those two maps are beloved by the hardcore community. Although DE has a wonder weapon quest and GK’s ee isn’t exactly the easiest thing in the world, pretty much most of everything else you said does apply to them
I like terminus and it’s aesthetic. Definitely the most “zombies” feeling map we’ve had since like BO4. But the map is very empty for its size. It feels like they just wanted to say “biggest zombies map ever” but had no clue what to do with it. I’m glad they didn’t put vital stuff in random spots for the sake of inconvenience but maybe adding more stuff to do or reasons to actually leave the main island other than a box spawn.
The fact y’all are already talking about bo7 is pissing me off We just bought this $70 experience 2 years ago when mw2 came out and they said it was gunna end yearly releases y’all were hype. Then mw3 comes out and y’all didnt buy it. Now bo6 comes out and all of a sudden yall want yearly releases again?
On my first playthrough of liberty falls, i was disappointed and pissed off that the spiders and parasites from terminus were on it. I would have preferred hellhounds
I don’t think people realize that the liberty falls ending is pretty much just filler. You can play as any character or operator with no changed in dialogue. Its like a cold war style map. Terminus the characters talk differently based on the zombies crew member you pick
What if they added an underpowered weapon boost to point gains? So if I'm usually a severely underpowered weapon and I get a kill I get more points than normal
Unsure if this is an unpopular opinion or something people would like to see but I would love to see the Cold War maps ported to BO6 to make this game the definitive way to play the modern era of Zombies like they did in Black Ops 1. They could do a massive reveal at the end of the game's life cycle like with BO1 or release 1 port along with 1 new map so casuals get a more casual experience that's familiar while the hardcore community get a brand new exciting map. Plus it gives us more content at the end of the day. They could even go into the old maps and make adjustments to the gameplay/atmosphere to make them the definitive versions.
That would be cool but highly unlikely because they are making the next call of duty following Bo6 I don't see how they would have the dev time to implement them properly.
That's be cool, but I doubt it. If they were still on the same engine then I could see them porting them over, but now that they are on the "unified engine" they can't simply just port all of their assets over, they have to, for the most part, remake them.
@Sir_Slimbread OK bad reasoning because ffs there's code for double tap in Cold war, AND the same code in bo6. They've been reusing code and porting assets for decades. The REAL reason you won't see bocw maps in bo6 is because they're simply too fresh and they can still sell cold war in the future for the zombies portion of the game.
@@gaskinforeman303 Code and Assets are not the same thing, and Assets from previous game can be found in a game on a different engine, but that doesn't mean those assets are compatible. They hold onto the assets, so that they have a reference when creating the new assets. People act like porting in simply copy and pasting assets and code from one game to the other, when that's simply not the case in the slightest. Even something as simple as the WaW Maps in BO1, or Kino being made for WaW, doesn't mean the just Control C and Control V'd. They had to first port the assets and code over, then they had to rework it. You can even tell when going from WaW Der Riese to BO1 Der Riese that the maps aren't 1:1. Sure, the layout is exactly the same, but the textures are slightly different, the map is brighter, the mechanics are different, the box has different Weapons, the Wunderwaffe is fixed, Mulekick was added(with DLC 4), etc.
Thanks for talking about the armor! Now that I’ve been playing zombies more and more I do see that with the difficulty tuning they’ve done you would get absolutely destroyed without armor. But that doesn’t change my opinion on it. It’s all about balancing. no armor? Turn the difficulty down a bit. I do think that you are right if they made a machine or made it feel like a zombies mechanic that would make it feel like it belonged. It’s just the feeling of a copy and pasted mechanic that really bogs it down.
The whole point of armor is to protect you a little more because everything is more harsh than the old games. What I mean by this is that the zombies are a LOT faster in the modern era than they were in the past. For example In the past, you could run by a whole horde and not get hit one singular time. But in the present, if you run past a horde , you’re gonna get hit a lot more and way faster too. The plate carriers just make the game harder in my opinion because it’s just one more thing to worry about including the price and the haste of finding more plates after you run out. On top of that, you can only carry 3 plates at a time not equipped.
I live in Australia so my internet is always bang average. With vanguard and MWZ being older games, those servers are seriously depleted and I can no longer play a game that isn't over 100 ping. This has me concerned that after bo6 is done, I won't be able to revisit the game because the online servers will similarly deplete
Bo6 is better than I was expecting, but I wasn’t expecting much. It’s a lot more fun than Cold War and also a lot more ‘zombies’. However something still feels off - I still don’t find myself as invested or on edge as the old games.
I have not played zombies since bo4 and cod in general since 2019. My opinion is that MP still sucks and zombies is actually hooking me, I actually prestiged for the first time in years!
Black Ops 1 is still the pinnacle, sad that this many years later that they haven't got close to replicating that experience, every game afterwards has been a regression. Points system flawless, difficulty flawless, Shang-gri-la is still the most difficult map for high rounds, it took 7 years for the level cap to be reached, while the cap in black ops 6 is reached within a few hours/days. Gun selection majestic, every map had a great vibe, a truly unique experience. Easter eggs were epic, especially moon. Easter egg songs have variety, it was nice to get a different genre of music than rock, with a rap tune on Five. Leaderboards built into the pre-game lobby, so you could see the level of random opponent's, weather they were good enough to achieve a high round or do an Easter egg.
First time I watch your channel and I really liked the respectful way you talk about your point of view, so that even if I disagree with 95% I still managed to understand the point and watch the video until the end with a great desire to talk on. I'm sad to know that COD will never go back to the way it was before for the joy of you and people who think the same, but at the same time I'm very happy to be in the way I love it so much. I wish you all the success in the future :)
Thank you!! I am glad you are able to watch it despite disagreeing. I think that's always great to see and I am always open to discussions with others about things we disagree on.
Look up the Free Deadshot side easter egg. Takes like 20 seconds to do. Buy a sniper off the wall early in the match, and you just have to shoot 5 cans.
I keep hearing people saying you're not incentivized to hit the box, and I don't understand why they think this way. It takes a really long time to get the salvage necessary for upgrading to legendary, whereas spending 4k on the box will usually move the box and give you a fire sale. That means that 7 hits of the box costs 4k. In those 7 hits I usually can get a purple rarity gun if not legendary, at worst I get a couple blue guns. This saves me a ton of salvage down the line so I can buy scorestreaks that prevent downs or give self revives which is way more valuable than points. Tier 2 and 3 armor is largely worthless since it's not hard to plate up a little more frequently, and while perks are expensive you can get to a decently high round with only a few perks pretty easy. That 4k puts you slightly behind the 8 ball in terms of pack a punching, but it's not that significant when your guns are higher rarity early. Plus you can often find free pack a punchs, and perks in SAM trials that become easier when your guns are killing quicker. Plus there's the enjoyment of having variety in the game. Using the same gun that your loading out with is boring.
Hottest take: melee machiato is a good perk and you guys are using it incorrectly. MM’s ability is to improve melee and give you a punch instead of the weapon butt attack. If you’re actively upgrading your melee weapon, melee machiato is leagues better than what you expect. A PAP 3 knife at legendary tier one shots into the 50s, that being said idk why you’d wanna run a knife into those rounds but just an example. PAP2 purple shots into the mid 30s
The issue is what you pointed out exactly, you have to spend your resources to pap and upgrade your knife instead of your gun(s). As this has been pointed out numerous times there’s not really enough points or resources to go around to make this viable, additionally melees don’t give a point advantage, so why would spend my points and resources to my melee if it’s not gonna have as good of a return. Lastly the melees in the late rounds 1 shotting also isn’t really viable because of the Mahler and elite boss spam, And the zombies do so much damage you get a couple melees and have to run and plate up again. I only found the perk useful when going for the camo challenges on melees, and a perk should be useful outside of that
Melee Macchiato would’ve been a completely useless perk if it wasn’t for its augment that replenishes ammo and Aether Shroud’s last augment. But it is more useful on Liberty Falls than on Terminus
The Zombie mode was more challenging and rewarding with less enemy types (and less boss zombies) and narrower pathing. A return to this model would make high rounds and managing economy feel more rewarding while also playing into improving the atmosphere.
I don’t like how they made it so you don’t get scorestreak drops from manglers and elites killed by scorestreaks. Really ruins terminus high rounds because now you have to run a way slower and harder strat
Even if they just capped it to like 3 a round or something that would be fine. There's just too many manglers per round with homing shots for us to not get something. I've gotten to round 102 and it was saved and the damn game deleted it after an update but that was my strat so it would've been more but we need something or mangler shots need to not home in on you. Since there's 8 hitting you at once.
As someone who has only played BO 1 and 2 zombies, my first impression was that the zombies are wayy too tanky and everything costs too much but I'm pretty sure I'll get used to this otherwise not bad.
Unpopular opioin no zombie game is gonna feel like black ops 2 and 1 unless if its a exact remaster and even then it wont feel just like it use to some people cling to the old games and I get wanting games like but nothing is going to be exactly without copy and past detail by detail
I don't know why, but I got the urge to do a lot of comparisons of gravity falls to Liberty falls. A small American town both ending with the name falls were weird if you're seeing shit happen, at one point the Dead rising both falls. There are some hidden secrets of alien technology, except once space aliens and the other ones interdimensional aliens. Both have to do with super powerful beings from another room trying to get themselves free. Oh that's missing is the kronorium just to include the book full of mysteries.
I haven’t played b06 yet but I like the simplicity of b03 zombies. I won’t judge till I get my hands on it, it’s always decisive when they change up the formula. Round based was a good move, terminus looks dope. I’ll stick with b03 and pick it up in the future.
Mini boss spam on high rounds is extremely annoying there's no reason that there should be 4 manglers a round on solo, especially with their heat seeking blasts.
Honestly if they just change the price of perk machines to a set price and keep the wonderfizz to the increasing price, i want to say that would fix the issue that we have with points, and maybe bring the wonderfizz to spawn in at round 20 to balance that, maybe 16
I gotta be real. People be talking about how interesting Bo6 story is, but it's so lack luster. Characters are generic and it seems like a total timeline mess right now
It’s the set up that’s interesting imo. They’re reviving old characters and storylines that are supposedly not cannon. They’re rebooting the entire timeline to make it all work together and it gives them so many directions they could go with this story throughout the next year so while nothing super crazy happens as of yet it’s really interesting to see the potential of where it could go in the future since now anything is possible timeline wise.
I feel like if you were actually interested in zombies lore, specifically the dark aether story, you'd have read the intel in CW, or even watched the MWZ cutscenes. (You didn't even need to play the games to just watch lore videos). The dark aether story is not as annoying or even complex as the Bo1-bo4 Aether story, and still remains as a great story on its own imo
@@thepikminbrawler1746I don’t like loading into a map and instantly being told how to do pack a punch and hearing constant interruptions from some guy in the chair. I can’t get immersed in environments if it’s just a playground for a chore fest Easter egg from the get go. Call of The Dead for example, you don’t realize there’s a “main quest” until you find the og crew behind the bunker door, and it feels optional, like your using the already established content that you’d wanna try it out anyway on this side mission.
@@thepikminbrawler1746 Something to make it feel more unique. This current story is just generic military dudes as main characters. It'd be like if the old story was the characters from Nacht.
Liberty Falls should've had us playing as Richtofen, Blanchard, and some other security/Janus scientists. The game is just infinitely more interesting when we’re playing it through the eyes of the mastermind. And it also would've served to characterize him, as he’s been in the shadows for so long now. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk
Idk about first guy saying no crashes or performance issues. Many people are dealing with crashes, unnatural lag, and the game glitching. Like just last night my exfill glitched out and had the helicopter fall through the ground. We didnt even get xp for it because of that. But outside of those problems the game is great.
I know augments are a thing but even with them equipped, the punching perk is still incredibly tedious. Not only is it clunky as hell (takes like a whole second for your melee input to register) but It’s completely pointless at higher rounds unless you’ve got the multi hit augment and even so you’ll always get swiped. Not worth the hassle it has and will remain the last perk I bother getting. What it SHOULD do along with increasing melee damage is increase melee range, speed and even points awarded. Not sure if this is exclusive to bo6 but headshots award more points than melee. The only reason you’d melee in earlier zombies was the extra points it awarded but now that’s not a thing
Okay okay, I admit it was fun, but the replayability was shot down from only having two path choices and no branching paths like mob of the dead or gorod krovi, even zetsubo had many options once everything (although expensive) was opened up. But could you tell me how many places you could use the trampolsteam other than getting back to the spire? I only played solo and never found out about the others until years afterwards when people like you started saying it was underated compared to vanguard.
I don't HATE Die Rise, but I do agree that it's not a good map. Treyarc tried to change up the formula by going vertical. They took a risk, and it didn't really pay off. You live and learn and move on.
Also, I think that Liberty Falls and Terminus will face similar fate as Kino der Toten and Five. One map is casual and high rounding is not that hard due to the great Wonder Weapon. And the other one is more difficult and Wonder Weapon is very bad for high rounding. I liked Liberty Falls more. And I think that many casual players did as well. But it will age worse. And Terminus will age better
One way of getting more points that i thought of would be a major augment for deadshot, imagine that you get 1 singular essence for every headshot you hit. So if you have a horde and a weak smg with 300 total ammo you might nab around 6000-9000 points of that one gun. Personally I like this system, but it can get quite overpowered. People would just get deadshot and farm.
11:32 Melee machiatto shines when using your actual melee weapon rather than the "weapon butt". I was one-shotting zombies with my knife well past round 35, and manglers were like 3-5 hit kills. Abominations and Amalgams are impossible, though.
It's definitely good if you're doing some knife-only run. But there really isn't a point of using your knife in this game beyond just the fun of it. I am fine with the perk existing though, because it is definitely fun, I agree. It just doesn't have much of a core usage, like all the other perks do.
Personally i think they should nerf some of the scorestreaks more. Some scorestreaks are literally you get to press a button and you become COMPLETELY invincible and depending on the scorestreak you can wipe the area near you meaning not only is it invincibility at the press of a button, but a mini area nuke too. The complaints about the manglers needing to have spawning toned down a bit are justifiable. The scorestreak nerfs however? If you genuinely complain about them getting nerfed that's honestly a MASSIVE skill issue on your part and shows with how much you rely on a god mode mini area wipe instead of actually "surviving" in a survival based mode.
I haven’t really had any problem with points in the later rounds when I’m playing in half the time I have more points than I have anything to spend them on. There have been several games where I’m playing with my sister and I will purposely just buy a new gun off the mystery box and fully upgrade it because I have more than enough points to do that and I’m just kind of switching something to you know switch it up and play with something else. For not starting with a pistol, I mean, I get what people are saying for that but at the same time you could then just choose the pistol to start with.
Liberty falls is my preferred out of the two maps, I feel like it has a good amount of replay-ability being easier and not tedious to get the wonder weapon
It is interesting how different opinions can be because I'm the exact opposite where I find a map to be more replayable if the Wonder Weapon is more difficult to get (or getting setup in general). And I personally find the Beamsmasher quest to be fun to do.
online only really is the issue, and its due to the texture streaming that we dont need, my potato is solid but my internet is a bit slow at times. what good is getting the UHD if the net cant even stream the textures fast enough. random dsync is also a issue ive noticed even with buddies, nothing like suddenly teleporting 20m backwards into a crowd of zombies and shooting air
As someone who doesn’t play zombies that much how do people find Easter eggs? How do you figure that out like do you randomly shoot 3 things and scratch your nuts?
It depends on the map, but most of the Easter Eggs nowadays are pretty straightforward and the character quotes sometimes tell you what to do (or at least heavily hint at it) Back in some older maps though, yeah people would legit just randomly go around the map and shoot things/hold interact on things. When you have hundreds of thousands of people playing, it's bound at least someone will find something and then share it with everyone else.
Do you think raising the point output for melee kills up to 125 per will help out with the points issue and melee macchiato being so weak? Also, they said that they are going to have the most zombies LTM in bo6 than any other game. Do you think they could do a thanksgiving/fall at sunset or Christmas/Winter at night setting be released as a variant for liberty falls?
Unpopular opinion: Bo6 has terrible presentation. Characters suck. Plot sucks. Menu sucks. Spawning in sucks. It's all boring and doesn't do anything to make you care about what you are doing. In old cod zombies like bo1 you were sold on the experience as soon as you entered the menu. It was like the build up to a movie. This has no buildup. It's just jumping in to grind and do pve.
Right! It's seems everyone is too scared not to make their UI not some Hulu adjacent bullshit. What happened to the days where games has menus like Resident Evil 5.
@@MelvinThe123ah yes. Making a complaint about a game equates to crying. So when cyberpunk 2077 came out I guess everyone was just crying. Everyone who bought it shoulda just put up with how shit the game was instead of crying right?
“Best zombies launch by far” BO3 sure we didn’t like it at first but it grew on us and we saw how good it was and the game was actually playable. BO1 also had a great launch and I will even give credit to BO2 for at least being a playable experience.
Unpopular opinion: I like the new direction zombies is going and that it is way more chaotic and that you can not camp anywhere as it makes new players learn to train and get better at the game
i feel like the liberty falls intro cutscene is more like a intro cutscene to the story in bo6. dr modi says that the outbreak hit all janus facilities at once, so i feel like the sam ai unleashed it everywhere and maybe kidnapped richtofen or hes on the run, either way doesn't seem too related to the map but very much related to the overall story
This may be the case however, when you load into a solo liberty falls game for the first time it’s the cutscene that plays and richtofens facility is inn liberty falls/West Virginia so it just makes sense that it connects also with the whole thing with Blanchard etc. it’s just weird that it doesn’t connect to the EE at all really outside of some quotes from Blanchard which also seem to have some weird correlation, by this I mean, he talks about things that we never really see such as he says we need to find three missing scientists or something along those lines but then we only find one and it seems all over the place to meand not connected
@ i do agree i don’t think it works as an intro cutscene, should have been a story trailer or smt. also i think the missing scientists are the dead ones he comments on, he also implies panos was the only one who survived, still excited to see where the story goes but as an intro cutscene it seems rlly devoid from the actual map and its story
Not the point of the video. But I still will say it. “Dog rounds” should go back to what it was before: Different short round. That makes you relax a bit but at the same time doesn’t let you get bored.
I really wish we had classic gobblegums like in bo3 and elixirs in bo4. I dont mind the way we earn gobblegums and that they are in the game. I just wish that not every gobblegum was you use it you lose it. I think the problem stems from the classic exilirs being so good in bo4 that people didn’t run megas. The classics dont have to be game breaking, just some stuff that are useable and aren’t completely useless. Would love to hear opinions.
Black ops 4 classified cutscene was at the very high round and nobody could get it because the game would crash so bad and just due to that I'd say bo4 was shit. When it's impossible to get the end cutscene that's just bad. I am biased though because bo4 was a shitshow and most maps didn't even have cutscenes just those dumb moving pictures. It was such a disappointment and our main crew deserved a much better finale and for warzone to not ruin it and take all their resources.
I'd be curious to see a remaster of origins and mob of the dead but with the new stuff added. Not sure it would play well but im curious. It us fun, although the guns are underpowered if you play like cold war (less so if you focus on upgrading rarity and pack a punch ASAP)
I want to say something, I play on ps5 but my frames will sometimes randomly just stop, it’s weird and I don’t understand why it happens because it’s supposed to be a console that can handle bo6
I really hope you see this to know your and the community opinion. cuz it feels like im the only one thinking this way. I feel people forgot what made zombies so great EEs, AURA,story and atmosphere is not that important if the map isn’t unique and the gameplay Is jarring, ill explain what I mean about gameplay and uniqueness then il give examples . 1- The loadout and the point system makes you in constant hunt to upgrade 1 gun and you can never upgrade multiple guns 2- The fact worrying about surviving in a zombie game is almost non exerting ( unless maybe high rounding which you can just spams streaks for ) you spawn basically with 15 hit down not to mention you can just plate while getting hit and field upgrade which you just spawn with as 2 free get of jail card in classic picture this, you are hording zombie in KINO around the stairs and the bottom of stairs you see 3 zombie out of the horde you can never just get down the stairs with out feeling stressed or scared to get downed. It feels Therse no put much thought on how you survive or move you stuck ? press down pad or use FU, score streak etc. Jarring to me they made a problem with these system and to fix they just put super sprinter, bad zombie spawn and million boss zombie Now about the EE… not being imp: - Kino almost no EE still one of all time greatest why? Gameplay is fun and importantly surviving is important and make occupied in the map - Ascension another classic with underwhelming EE almost no atmosphere then why ist great ? same as kino and additional uniqueness( the monkey girsh etc. - MOB laughable EE steps, good story, great aura and claustrophobic still some consider it all time bet map - DE for me the best map ever I could argue its the best cuz it has everything (character, uniqueness, aura EE) but do you have to do the easter egg to have fun in the map? No. and this is my problem with terminus the map is great and it has a great egg but ist fun to play out side the egg for absolutely not surviving is easy, wonder weapon mid at best, atmosphere fine, characters are uninteresting ( mainly cuz we know nothing abouem yet ) but all this wouldn’t matter if the gameplay was fun and revolved around surviving that’s zombie to me One note hand holding through every quest steps through voice lines is just the most annoying thing Older game did but withing the gameplay it self one example comes to mind is MOB you can see a checklist if the steps withing the map hanging in the wall not some random azz dude telling me go build the LTG or grab this or you need to get the card from under the water that just such a mood killer for me One argument being made is all this to inboard new player I don’t wanna be toxic about it but no such game exist for everyone to enjoy game for everyone is game for no one You don’t have to enjoy multiplayer, warzone and zombie. And the fact it has no offline mode means no matter what happens this game will never last long so no point putting hours on playing. I still play BO1 with friends on weakly basis that wouldn’t be possible for BO6 Srry for making long it but its feels like this thinking became unpopular so I thought to put out here really hope to hear your thoughts
Opinion: I like brining chaos back, it def made me more interested in the story. Bringing the OG crew back is a mistake imo especially if they don't do it right (i dont believe they will get it right). It takes away everything from WAW-BO4 and makes it worthless. Zombies has been doing this for a while where they bring something back cuz of nostalgia and it has nothing to do with the story or has no depth with it. Why is the jet gun in liberty falls other than its a throwback to tranzit (maybe theres intel about the jet gun but I haven't seen any). In older maps almost every game mechanic was tied with the story. The mutant injection is cool, but theres nothing that explains how something like that works and how it fits the story.
I thought I was tweaking. now I know that account based lag is real. doesn’t help that sbmm is trying so hard to match me with similar players that it’s searching for games
Honestly, I lag so much in solo games and I think that's because you have to stream the graphics, I have AP. S five, with over four terabytes of data, I would rather just download the graphics or at least make that an option to decrease lag for the people that have enough storage
Idk if this is a hot take but i feel the plot for bo3 zombies kinda sucked, especially after bringing in an extremely meta character like dr monty, it just became convoluted mess. though it completely SHINED with character moments, like the outros for ZNS and GK. But the plot beyond that i just couldnt find myself getting into
Unpopular oppinion : yall dont wanna admit u love morse code steps like everybody complains maps are too complicated then something like liberty falls drops n everybody says its "too easy".
My thing is, at that point, why even bother with the loadout system at all? Might as well just go back to the starting pistol or at the very least limit us to what weapons we can start with ya know?
Unpopular Opinion: Zombies and campaign should never be linked besides a few cheeky references. Campaign is too limiting and cod now has a unified story with the modern warfare games which is kinda dumb and limiting story wise and makes the outlandish maps we used to get seem like a pipe dream.
Unpopular opinion: fans (especially in youtube comments) constantly saying things that would make maps "better", but offering no reason why, is destroying the community. Everyone thinks they have the answers to the perfect game, but never stop to think why they even want those changes. Changing skyboxes, different point system, double tap coming back, chronicals 2, etc etc etc See these in the comments of every video i watch and theyre never backed up with why it would be a good addition or change. Wanting changes is fine, but i just feel people ask for changes without understanding why things are the way they are. Always reminded of a great Doughnuts video critiquing Tim Hansen Voyage of Despair review. 2nd opinion: new points system is good! Point maxing in old games is boring gameplay, it's more fun to actually use good weapons, rather than keeping bad ones to always stay rich. Bo6 brings an interesting dynamic in its the first zombies that you really have to make some tough decisions and be strategic heavily with what you're gonna buy. Downing is so pushing bc you might not be in a position to get set back up. These are things people were actively asking for during cold war, and now it's all complaints. Old point system would not work with rarity system also, as grey guns are the weakest in the series. You would break the games balance in half if that was the case, and remove so many interesting gameplay decisions. Great vid as usual btw. Loving your bo6 content.
Unpopular Opinion: Zombie experiences are better when they're more simple and have less WZ/MP influence. The maps are too big and too complicated to learn. They feel like EE maps, not survival maps. The salvage and weapon tier systems need to go so perks and PaP have more importance again. Go back to a dedicated 4 man/woman crew and a pre CW zombies hud by being less MP influenced and having it change with the theme of the specific maps. Etc Call me "too old," call me "resistant to change," call me a "hater," IDC. Zombies was better this way and it's because of this that I think BO4 after the blue screen shxt was fixed actually had a somewhat good zombies experience.
Criticism is fine, but it gets annoying when people constantly want this game to go back to BO3, which is besides the point and is ignoring innovation. This game has improved on many of BO3's systems already, such as the GobbleGum system. I think it's way better in this game than it was in BO3, because BO3 gave people with wallets an advantage. Nextly, I like the loadout system. It allows me to pick and grind out a gun I want, and with the salvage system, it allows me to either upgrade my gun with the salvage, or use my salvage to get a self-revive or scorestreak, so you get to choose what you want to spend your stuff on. I do agree the point system needs to change. I don't necessarily think it needs to go back to BO3. After all, we've seen in Cold War that with that point system, we were able to get a bunch of points very easily. I think they either need to increase points or reduce some prices. I like the scaling system when it comes to perks. Without a perk limit, you need something to make perks harder to get. So with every scaling point system, you can get whatever perk you want first for cheap, but if you want to get all of them, you need to give them cash, which I think is a great alternative to going back to a 4 perk limit, which I think we should never go back to. When it comes to the unique guns point, that was an annoying thing when it came to some of the maps. Having an overpowered weapon or a unique weapon excluded to one map while all the other maps couldn't get it. It was annoying because if that map had a good weapon and you liked that weapon, not only could you not grind it out to get a unique camo on it because it's map specific, you couldn't make it your own or play another map if you liked that weapon. Now that every weapon is on every map, you get to grind out a camo, make that weapon your own, and since they brought back unique gun effects, they might give that gun or weapon a unique effect when it's packapunched, which is great. They have brought back so many things. They brought back the challenge. This game has the most side easter eggs of any other game. I think it's fun and impressive. These are two completely different games when it comes to BO3 and BO6. BO3 is the classic zombies people know and love. BO6 is a semi-classic zombies going back to the roots, but using modern Cold War gameplay systems to allow its players to have fun. They said it themselves, they're going for a more open sandbox than a classic survival zombies. They want you to use all these tools, have fun killing zombies, finding easter eggs, doing side quests, and just going ham fist. This game has its strengths, so attempting to put it back to BO3 only ruins what they're trying to work for. Allow them to cook. And when it comes to Omni Movement, jank for the sake of jank is not good. Okay? The old zombie movement sucked ass. Because of it, people got hit and downed when they wouldn't have because of the awkward janky movement. Omni Movement fixed that. It's not like you're fucking invincible, may I remind you. Zombies in this game's hit registration is the best it's ever been. When you run backwards, they're faster than you, so they can hit you. When you run sideways, they can catch up to you and still hit you. You only outrun zombies when you're running forward and when you have stamina. And because zombies do scaling damage, meaning the higher the round, the more damage you do, when they chip away at you, you're going to be taking more health damage. And the Omni Movement is supposed to help you recover because the health regeneration in this game is slower than in old games. I remember the BO3 slash BO2 days when going for high rounds and because of the janky movement, I lost and got pissed off and never wanted to play for a day or two because of the janky ass movement. With Omni Movement, I know if I get trapped in the corner and if I mess up, it's my fault instead of the movement system's fault.
Yes. Hence why I said the word "obviously" before that. A lot of players somehow act like complicated Easter Eggs ruin their casual experience, so sometimes I do think it's necessarily to make it clear that these are optional.
Unpopular opinion: The maps are boring esthetically and are kinda bland compared to older maps and their concepts. People can hate die rise and I do too but it has far more character than terminus or liberty falls which are just another facility.
That was the point of it. You are more vulnerable with a weaker gun, but the only reason you'd use it is so you can get points. Nowadays, there is legit zero reason to use weaker guns (other than going for Camos)
Nah. I just don't have anything that bad to say about BO6 Zombies so far. I have definitely said many good things, just maybe not as many huge good things in this specific video. I do tend to be a more nuanced person too.
@ there’s defs negatives let’s be real. I do think the real answer is somewhere in the middle of good or bad. Maybe even average idk. Don’t get it confused, I like your video! Keep it up g
Unpopular opinion: Liberty Falls would be so much better with a similar sky box as Tranzit. Maybe not the fog but just the orange sky look.
I had the same thought when I first saw it
I thought it would’ve been cool if liberty was made near sunset/sundown.
while that would be cool i think the atmosphere is perfect for what the map actually is, that being a town that was literally JUST infected and taken over, not a place that has been run down for years.
@@wilsongoodfellow8113 that's exactly why a simple skybox change would work just fine.
Thank you, I was trying to explain this to my brother liberty falls could literally be a campaign mission and I wouldn’t even question it, no zombies vibes whatsoever
Lag in solo. Killed me more than a few times and I have pretty good internet, that's all I'll say.
Could be how close you live to the server you’re connected to
Same. I hate online only. But I didn’t buy the game so I can’t complain too much
The only lag i get is whn un-pausing, are you sure you have a stable connection?
@@Slaquery27 Good wifi decent connection, just cause you aren't feeling it doesn't mean plenty of other people aren't. Servers suck ass this year and the online only is making that very evident.
@BEYMASTER145 okay, yeah that's unfortunate. I'm on the fence because I love save & quit and if it mean that, then 🤷♂️
This might be a unpopular opinion:
The intro cinematic to Liberty Balls is kind of pointless.
I agree, but i think that this intro was made to show that, while the maps is important in this game story, the main part isn't here
@@Jubscreuzo True.
It IS pointless…
At this point honestly it was just for the lore than actually liberty falls, who know
I mean Cold War literally explained the reason
I think the new point system is way better, getting point for kills make weapons that was under utilize like snipers and shotguns way more useful while keeping the other weapons useful.
i definitely believe that Liberty Falls is basically the Camo Grind map. They also need to bring back the original way to get points where any time you do damage to a zombie you get 10 points
I see the map the way I see town where it's just fun play area (just with more things to do)
Honestly my unpopular opinion is that terminus is the better camo grinding map
Yah, I really do think it was just not nearly as bad on Xbox and maybe that's why I didn't get as many crashes.
@ yeah that makes sense
I completely disagree that terminus is for hardcore players. What is hardcore or complex about it? The easter egg is short and easy, the wonder weapon comes from the box, and the pack a punch is insanely easier to get. And the set up is the same as liberty falls.
Wouldn’t the same apply to Der Eisendrache and Gorod Krovi? And those two maps are beloved by the hardcore community. Although DE has a wonder weapon quest and GK’s ee isn’t exactly the easiest thing in the world, pretty much most of everything else you said does apply to them
I think it's because surprisingly casuals aren't really good from my public matches experience
The weapon attachment that gives extra points but reduces damage is genius.
The fact y’all are already talking about bo7 is pissing me off
We just bought this $70 experience
2 years ago when mw2 came out and they said it was gunna end yearly releases y’all were hype. Then mw3 comes out and y’all didnt buy it. Now bo6 comes out and all of a sudden yall want yearly releases again?
people talk about the next one because they’re quickly realizing that this one is hot trash
Some of us play it with gamepass so me personally I didn't pay 70 for this game I'll be playing the next one also for free basically

On my first playthrough of liberty falls, i was disappointed and pissed off that the spiders and parasites from terminus were on it. I would have preferred hellhounds
I haven't seen parasites in liberty, but yeah, hounds would've been a lot better.
@EL_Mida it's a rare spawn, could be a bug honestly
I don’t think people realize that the liberty falls ending is pretty much just filler. You can play as any character or operator with no changed in dialogue. Its like a cold war style map. Terminus the characters talk differently based on the zombies crew member you pick
31:20 man's just complaining to complain like wtf we realy mad over moovment lol
What if they added an underpowered weapon boost to point gains? So if I'm usually a severely underpowered weapon and I get a kill I get more points than normal
watching the video go from the Terminus bossfight to the Ancient Evil boss fight was rough....
No way that's going to happen.
I believe the whole honeymoon phase but I can also confidently say this is the most fun I’ve had on cod since bo3
Glad to hear that!
Black Ops 1 had my favorite launch by far. I got the hardened edition so I got all those maps plus Kino, Five, and DOA
I have an aether net cord and in my
Dorm room in college. So I haven't experienced any type of lag in any of the modes.
I see what you did there
@ I am being very serious. University have very fast internet
Not having all the perk machines on the maps is mind blowing. Having to wait to round 25 to get deadshot on LF is so annoying
15:00 “your internet is ass” dawg what im playing solo why are we arguing about this
The Zombie mode was more challenging and rewarding with less enemy types (and less boss zombies) and narrower pathing. A return to this model would make high rounds and managing economy feel more rewarding while also playing into improving the atmosphere.
Why the fuck does max armor power up not fill reserves
I remember watching early gameplay of Shadows of evil roughly a week before Bo3 came out, I was fascinated
Unpopular opioin no zombie game is gonna feel like black ops 2 and 1 unless if its a exact remaster and even then it wont feel just like it use to some people cling to the old games and I get wanting games like but nothing is going to be exactly without copy and past detail by detail
People don’t dislike BO4 because they went out of honeymoon phase. They just hopped on the hate wagon.
I have to ask, what would make the story NOT lack luster to people like you?
Normal take......give me an offline mode
Die rise was a banger! And I'm sick and tired of acting like it wasn't. It was just harder than the others.
great map. black ops 2 zombies was the greatest in my opinion. i play them on plutonium
Finally someone says it die rise was over hated
Compared to all CW and BO6, Die Rise is top a tier map
I think a way to balance it would just be to put a cap on how many points you could farm from a individual zombie this way.
I do also think because on liberty falls I can quickly go into high round strategies quite quickly because the set up is so quick
10:01 bringing the literal definition to Money Gun
Anyone else have the main menu song burned into their brain to the point you hear it when not playing the game?
online only really is the issue, and its due to the texture streaming that we dont need, my potato is solid but my internet is a bit slow at times. what good is getting the UHD if the net cant even stream the textures fast enough. random dsync is also a issue ive noticed even with buddies, nothing like suddenly teleporting 20m backwards into a crowd of zombies and shooting air
As someone who doesn’t play zombies that much how do people find Easter eggs? How do you figure that out like do you randomly shoot 3 things and scratch your nuts?
It depends on the map, but most of the Easter Eggs nowadays are pretty straightforward and the character quotes sometimes tell you what to do (or at least heavily hint at it)
Back in some older maps though, yeah people would legit just randomly go around the map and shoot things/hold interact on things.
When you have hundreds of thousands of people playing, it's bound at least someone will find something and then share it with everyone else.
@ oh ok

@@MelvinThe123ah yes. Making a complaint about a game equates to crying. So when cyberpunk 2077 came out I guess everyone was just crying. Everyone who bought it shoulda just put up with how shit the game was instead of crying right?
30:13 I love seeing points blow up back during Bo1 it looked so appealing
“Best zombies launch by far” BO3 sure we didn’t like it at first but it grew on us and we saw how good it was and the game was actually playable. BO1 also had a great launch and I will even give credit to BO2 for at least being a playable experience.
Unpopular opinion: I like the new direction zombies is going and that it is way more chaotic and that you can not camp anywhere as it makes new players learn to train and get better at the game
No one is mad about that part of new zombies
This is definetly unpopular good job
Tf do you mean you don’t camp? High round stats for this game is camping in a corner next to a build table where you make kill streaks to kill zombies
Strategy’s like that didnt exist when I first commented
@ ngl they existed right at launch and were patched around your comment
i feel like the liberty falls intro cutscene is more like a intro cutscene to the story in bo6. dr modi says that the outbreak hit all janus facilities at once, so i feel like the sam ai unleashed it everywhere and maybe kidnapped richtofen or hes on the run, either way doesn't seem too related to the map but very much related to the overall story
First bullet in each zombie should give 10 points. That could really help
31:18 bro never learned how to Strafe In WAW, BO1, Bo2
You really strafing is like omnimovement g?
@ nigga what
I really wish we had classic gobblegums like in bo3 and elixirs in bo4.
Thanks for the feature 🙏
And yeah, I also definitely want dlc1 to be more like terminus than LF
I really hope you see this to know your and the community opinion. cuz it feels like im the only one thinking this way.
I feel people forgot what made zombies so great
EEs, AURA,story and atmosphere is not that important if the map isn’t unique and the gameplay Is jarring, ill explain what I mean about gameplay and uniqueness then il give examples .
1- The loadout and the point system makes you in constant hunt to upgrade 1 gun and you can never upgrade multiple guns
2- The fact worrying about surviving in a zombie game is almost non exerting ( unless maybe high rounding which you can just spams streaks for ) you spawn basically with 15 hit down not to mention you can just plate while getting hit and field upgrade which you just spawn with as 2 free get of jail card in classic picture this, you are hording zombie in KINO around the stairs and the bottom of stairs you see 3 zombie out of the horde you can never just get down the stairs with out feeling stressed or scared to get downed. It feels Therse no put much thought on how you survive or move you stuck ? press down pad or use FU, score streak etc. Jarring to me they made a problem with these system and to fix they just put super sprinter, bad zombie spawn and million boss zombie
Now about the EE… not being imp:
- Kino almost no EE still one of all time greatest why? Gameplay is fun and importantly surviving is important and make occupied in the map
- Ascension another classic with underwhelming EE almost no atmosphere then why ist great ? same as kino and additional uniqueness( the monkey girsh etc.
- MOB laughable EE steps, good story, great aura and claustrophobic still some consider it all time bet map
- DE for me the best map ever I could argue its the best cuz it has everything (character, uniqueness, aura EE) but do you have to do the easter egg to have fun in the map? No. and this is my problem with terminus the map is great and it has a great egg but ist fun to play out side the egg for absolutely not surviving is easy, wonder weapon mid at best, atmosphere fine, characters are uninteresting ( mainly cuz we know nothing abouem yet ) but all this wouldn’t matter if the gameplay was fun and revolved around surviving that’s zombie to me
One note hand holding through every quest steps through voice lines is just the most annoying thing
Older game did but withing the gameplay it self one example comes to mind is MOB you can see a checklist if the steps withing the map hanging in the wall not some random azz dude telling me go build the LTG or grab this or you need to get the card from under the water that just such a mood killer for me
One argument being made is all this to inboard new player I don’t wanna be toxic about it but no such game exist for everyone to enjoy game for everyone is game for no one
You don’t have to enjoy multiplayer, warzone and zombie.
And the fact it has no offline mode means no matter what happens this game will never last long so no point putting hours on playing. I still play BO1 with friends on weakly basis that wouldn’t be possible for BO6
Srry for making long it but its feels like this thinking became unpopular so I thought to put out here really hope to hear your thoughts
They should add a milestone for golden armor plates like prestige master or a round 150 run
You don't need the points per hit in bo6. Use your equipment and field upgrade effectively and you will be fine it's literally not that hard
I would prefer they make a Liberty Falls sized/style map from the Emergence Campaign mission
I thought I was tweaking. now I know that account based lag is real. doesn’t help that sbmm is trying so hard to match me with similar players that it’s searching for games
I like when you said it's a top 5 best launch game like if there's a million of them
There's technically 11 of them now (since AW didn't have any zombies content at launch), so I would say Top 5 would be decent
11:50 hell yea bring back point system
Honestly, I lag so much in solo games and I think that's because you have to stream the graphics, I have AP. S five, with over four terabytes of data, I would rather just download the graphics or at least make that an option to decrease lag for the people that have enough storage
Idk if this is a hot take but i feel the plot for bo3 zombies kinda sucked, especially after bringing in an extremely meta character like dr monty, it just became convoluted mess.
though it completely SHINED with character moments, like the outros for ZNS and GK. But the plot beyond that i just couldnt find myself getting into
People complaining about points (aka low resources) reveal who are the bad casual players.
Unpopular oppinion : yall dont wanna admit u love morse code steps like everybody complains maps are too complicated then something like liberty falls drops n everybody says its "too easy".
The Zombies community isn't a hivemind. People who don't like complicated puzzles are likely not the ones saying Liberty Falls is too simple.
haven’t played yet, glad it’s on game pass tho. i think an easy fix for the point system would to have legendary guns use the old point system.
They should make it so that you can only upgrade starting weapons to rare rarity or something and do the same with pap maybe to like pap 2
Lag is awfull when I'm on WiFi but when I'm on ethernet cable to lag or stuttering at all
Unpopular opinion: fans (especially in youtube comments) constantly saying things that would make maps "better", but offering no reason why, is destroying the community.
Everyone thinks they have the answers to the perfect game, but never stop to think why they even want those changes. Changing skyboxes, different point system, double tap coming back, chronicals 2, etc etc etc
See these in the comments of every video i watch and theyre never backed up with why it would be a good addition or change.
Etc
Call me "too old," call me "resistant to change," call me a "hater," IDC. Zombies was better this way and it's because of this that I think BO4 after the blue screen shxt was fixed actually had a somewhat good zombies experience.
I don't think any of these opinions are particularly unpopular
Loadouts, point system & Weapon rarity still hold this game way back for me there simply just bad systems.
With Omni Movement, I know if I get trapped in the corner and if I mess up, it's my fault instead of the movement system's fault.
first thing it's way to easy
second what's new in bo6? it's multiplayer zombie
5:53 optional ee? Dude all EE are optional. What is bro saying.
Yeah they should bring and update the bo1 or 2 money system
I dont understand how ghe old points system is skillful just makes weak guns used for points then your set for the game on points
Literally wrong high rounds you still need points to respin wonder weapons so guns were still useful
That was the point of it. You are more vulnerable with a weaker gun, but the only reason you'd use it is so you can get points. Nowadays, there is legit zero reason to use weaker guns (other than going for Camos)
I feel like you’re too afraid to say anything that’s too good or bad
The campaign mission with zombies in it felt more like zombies than the actual mode
It felt like fallout even the graphics are similar
It felt like doom, which is a very interesting route for cod zombies
