But CA has even richer people, so those people are just middle class and at best can afford their house and send three kids off to college without taking massive loans, which is why we don’t think we’re rich bc it costs so much to live here and maybe get a place and start a family, not to mention supporting your parents. Chemists don’t make a lot actually, a PhD guarantees nothing. If you’re in research or even in a regular pharmaceutical company (not the richest biggest ones) doing quality control testing for Big Pharma clients, you’re not making that much. Maybe like 50-60k if you’re lucky. I loved chem but I knew I wouldn’t make money getting a chem or bio or biochem degree + PhD, so instead I went into the medical field.

i basically had this idea where i would clean out my whole closet and put everything i didnt wear in a big box and have a month without those clothes and if at the end of that month i realised that i really liked one thing and wanted to wear it then i would keep it. it helped me get rid of the stuff that i dont need and keep the stuff i really love :)
I do that too. I've also compiled a list of all my clothes and tick it off and if I haven't worn it for however many months I give myself I try and sell it.
Sometime in the last 6 months I completely stopped wearing underwire/padded bras and switched exclusively to bralette my boobs have never been happier I don’t even own a single underwire bra rn

You reach the true mastery when you have a few items AND great sense of style. I started to be way more intentional with my shopping, and I "neutralized" my wardrobe (added neutrals)
It can be so difficult to let clothing go, and I really admire that you're going to try to hold off on buying a bunch of new things. I was thinking about how I'll miss all of your thrift hauls but had an idea: you should do a thrifting video where you help someone else find pieces they'll love for their wardrobe! That way we still get cool thrifted style videos but you're not accumulating more things in your own wardrobe :)

@@TwitchyMoth that is true, I've been really finding my style lately so I've gotten ridden of a lot of clothes but there some pieces I wear a lot but don't like. A have a couple work tops that I just haven't find anything yet to replace them and well they are comfy at least 😂
Yess for 12 years of my life I've just worn whatever was available to me but now I have. A style and only own like 3 prices that I actually like and enjoy wearing but I can't just buy a whole new wardrobe because I'm poor and don't have money to spend on clothes

You reach the true mastery when you have a few items AND great sense of style. I started to be way more intentional with my shopping, and I "neutralized" my wardrobe (added neutrals)
It can be so difficult to let clothing go, and I really admire that you're going to try to hold off on buying a bunch of new things. I was thinking about how I'll miss all of your thrift hauls but had an idea: you should do a thrifting video where you help someone else find pieces they'll love for their wardrobe! That way we still get cool thrifted style videos but you're not accumulating more things in your own wardrobe :)
