I’m taking my kindergartener to his school by bike everyday, and was dreading the thought of getting in a car for a 1 mile round trip. The wifey has definitely given the green light for a fat bike thanks to this video!!
Thx for the vid! My sons are now too big for my Burley, and I'm wanting to convert it to be used as a cargo hauler for my fatbike! Have you had a chance to use it in sand? I'm wondering if I should get these wheels or if I should look into converting my burley to fat 20" wheels.
If you don’t mind, how old are your kids? Considering a burley for my 3.5 yo and a newborn, but I know I have to wait a while until the youngest is safe to be pulled in the trailer... How long or to what age do you anticipate being able to haul kids in the trailer?
Hi Kyle, my almost 6 year old (tall) barely fits in there with my 3 year old and she’s pretty squished! The amazing thing about trailers is you can then carry cargo too :)
We use the Burley Cub since our oldest was about 5months. She is now 4 and her brother is 3. I think they will both still fit in for a while, we'll see. it gets a little tight, but they are used to it. In winter they prefer taking their jackets off and get snug under a blanket. I have some videos of the trailer on my channel
How would the wheels work on groomed snowmobile trails? I ride on snowmobile trails in the winter and am debating if I should get the wheels or skis for the Burley
Plowed bike paths? Oh that sounds dreamy! In Wichita, no plowing of any bike/ped paths. Fair amount of plowing. But only on the high traffic streets. And more than plowing, they dump brine, salt, and sand onto the streets. Which means I alter my routes to avoid the brine and salt. And within a day, all the streets become more dangerous for months due to all the sand laying in the intersections and right lanes. They're getting better...…. but it's slow.

Fat tires on a trailer didn't even know that was a thing. Thanks for the info. I'll be trying this in NYC.
Great Tips, Arleigh.
Thank you, Gary! Keep the videos coming :)
Audio was good. Liked your exuberance at the end. I would have liked more footage of riding. Keep it up!
Once it stops snowing I hope to practice biking while controlling a drone.... fingers crossed I don't crash either.
Very neat, beautiful set up! I am highly inspired, thank you!
I NEED THIS!!!
Great video! Love the setup. I’m ready for clear roads :)
Me too!!
Thank you for doing this important work. Gonna subscribe
Great video! Thank you for all the great info.
Thank you for watching (and commenting)!
I want a set up like this for camping with my smallest kid. His wee legs are not mountain ready 😂. People don’t cycle much in Scotland
Love those fat tires on the Burley!
Pretty amazing that these things exist. I would have gone crazy 10 years ago if I had kids.
Sweet setup you have there, thanks for the video! The audio was just fine. Ride On Bike Shop Girl :-)
Thanks for the feedback on audio!
Doesn’t snow where I live but it’s still cool to see your setup :)
I'm over the cold for sure, but being able to ride keeps me a bit more insane.
I love the video. I wonder if that trailer will work on a zugo rhino
Thanks for the mention! We're stoked to be an important part of helping your family go car-lite.
Thank YOU!!!
Thoughts on getting a double bike trailer vs two singles? I would appreciate your thoughts.
That would require two people to ride with the trailers, right?
keeep it up!
hello,
what is the brand of rear cargo bike rack you have? You might have mentioned it but I did not catch, thank you
Do you ever get cold?? Im going to be riding my bike all year long and kinda nervous for when winter comes 😅
Sure but just add layers :)

I've used it well in loose gravel and snow, so I would say it should work very well in sand.
Hi what axel do you use on the bike is it a thru axel or different, thanks
At some point in the video I mention it, but I use a Robert Axle Project for my thru axle (don't know threading off the top of my head)

Did the tire upgrade raise the trailer height? If so, by how much?
I don't believe so. The outer diameter wasn't much different due to the volume.
Does anyone know of anything like this that I can get for bigger children? The only ones I can find are for toddlers!(my child is 8 yrs old)

Hmmm. If I only had snow I would go skis but I have a mix.
Good vid - new Sub!
How are your bikes holding up for the winter salt?
Cheers
In Colorado we don’t have salt 🤷🏽♀️
Are the trailer tires directional?
I would say so

If your derailleur hanger breaks you will turn it into a single speed.
I know this is a few years old, but noticed you didnt attach the safety strap.. Just a heads up for anyone watching.
I like that this trailer will fit in my wife's hummer. If not, I've got a pretty big bed on my truck, I guess.
YOU are so cool;)
It used a bike to get around in
