This lifter fix is probably the most common for full throttle when mastered a lifter job is the one you charge your friends the most. This was absolutely educational. Thanks Adam LZ!

Your car shuts off at idle sometimes after revving/getting off throttle probably because of your BOV setup. Running a MAF in front of the turbo requires the BOV's dumped air to be re-circulated back into the pre-turbo inlet (but after the MAF), since the air dumped is metered/measured air that your MAF read and adjusted for after being ingested. Once you go MAP, this doesn't matter anymore.
Right - it's more of a band-aid in my opinion because by 'fixing it' you're leaning out the fuel table when it happens when it comes down to settle the idle since the problem mentioned creates a rich mixture. It will also spike rich in between shifts momentarily when the BOV purges the air. Some argue that this can wash the cylinders with fuel unnecessarily, but who knows if it's that detrimental.
Mate, I never post here ever. generally bc of all the flaming of comments.. but your constant overheating issues on new and all builds gives me a headache (no offence)... SR's are usually prone to overheating when people just don't do the basics correctly. Your coolant in that rad looks like clear water! I would use tectaloy or something similar. Never had an issue with that once all the system is running sweet. Looks like you have no heater hoses, you should check exactly how its rigged up off the block - a lot of the time with short cuts in heater hoses on SRs air bubbles build up behind the thermostat. Which won't bleed out no matter what you do (when bleeding the system even with a rad funnel) it becomes an airlock and stays there limiting the capacity for the thermostat to open properly. Creating pressure and heat, - check your lines, as it happens on almost all your builds I think maybe you have something not right with your setup. I've seen it before and once you set it up with the full circulation you won't have these issues. Also, your blow buy issues you should get your lines sorted and catch tank before you go to the track, stop rushing and making simple mistakes, your car could have caught fire with all that oil just dumping in the engine bay. Don't block the sump hose, have it feeding back to the sump, that is not your issue. Keep up the sr fun from Australia :) Hope this helps if you read it, trying to be constructive for you as you seem to struggle on heating a lot..
There are tricks and devices to help bleed an SR properly and it isn't hard once you know what you're doing. Before the engine was even built I called blown head gasket in the not too distant future, but looks like it has probably happened faster than even I imagined. Unfortunately Adam is always in a hurry and never listens to advice so he will just have to continue making mistakes until he learns to make sound decisions. The Achilles heel of the SR is getting the head to seal properly even at low power levels. High power levels a whole new set of problems.
What sets Adam apart from everyone else in my opinion is that he takes great pride in what he does and his cars. Much respect to you. Keep being the great person you are

Also, as a side note that people will probably cringe at, any engine that I’ve built or done the install of i pressurize them to 25psi when testing. Hope the info helps.
400HP drifting is more faster and need more trottle control , and the car is much more "angry" ...watch a video with 300hp and another with 400hp , ill see some difference (sorry my englis iam brazillian)
If you're starting off, not much. But once you get at a certain skill level, the extra 100 hp will help in speed, maneuvrability, how agressive you can be, and for the spectator.... more smoke.

When you want a rotary but love the SR so you make sure it sounds like a rotary. also the cams make it sound like a V8, so adam now owns a V8 Rotary , SR...
We changed a lot, but the biggest difference in sound comes from the top mount, equal length manifold with an external gate (basically an exhaust dump under the engine bay when you hit 14psi and up.

You may just need to torque the headstuds. Usually after a couple head cycles with studs you should retorque everything. I have lifted a head before because I didn't retorque. A couple of the nuts moved when I retorqued and everything was okay afterwards.
Cody Shumate I understand. I had used it on mine as well, but still had to retorque the studs. One other time I had used them I retorqued after a couple heat cycles and a couple nuts moved. Just a recommendation that would be simple for him to check.

juaquin trinidad 400 hp is not even close to "built" level. Stock sr20 with a proper turbo, injectors and tune can hit 400 hp too Also he still has mid-rev range power/torque peak

I think one of the main things u need is a good and reliable oil cooler. Since it seems like it gets bounced off the limiter abit now, and with the upgraded power a oil cooler would be a good investment...

This can be fixed in the tune, my car used to stall but it was fixed when I got it tuned, now it still dips but it will never stall.
