Replace Eldora with DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. The One mile dirt oval hosts ARCA. I can't see why it couldn't host the Cup Series. Plus... it would add a legitimate dirt track to the schedule.

3:27 I would absolutely attend a race at Kentucky, as, if they came back, it would be the closest track to me. Like an hour and a half drive, with Indy being 3 hours & Bristol being about 3 and a half hours. I apparently went to the Busch Series race there back in 2009, but I don't remember that. Kentucky left the schedule, right before I got my driver's license and my own car. I'd love one race there with the Next Gens. I believe it would be much better than the Gen 6 product.
They could go to what Formula E did when they ran at Long Beach and cut out the Fountain Section, but that puts the track at risk of loosing what makes it iconic, also they could cut part of the section that leads up too the hairpin, or possibly do what Formula One did when the U.S. GP West was a thing of the 1970s and 1980s and extend the run up to the hairpin.

But Motegi has to be repaired before use. - Dirt: Bristol dirt got better and better each year, but there needs to be a real home for it. Eldora is an easy starting point, but you just need to make ammends with Tony, and a second race (West Coast) would give it the legitimacy of being on the calendar like how Road courses had 2 tracks for the longest time. Dirts in NASCARS' D.N.A., and most of the best have come from it. Some other things: - Compromise by going back to the Chase format (unfortunately playoffs here to stay... just make the "owners championship" full season points): 1 plate race, 1 dirt, 2 Road/ street courses, 3 short tracks (
They could possibly use the road course at first to see if the market for NASCAR in Japan is worth it and then use the Oval. Not sure though if NASCAR will even go there again let alone Indycar.
Love how you started with Chicagoland, I don’t see many people talking about it returning and it’s my home track so seeing it return would bring tears or joy to my eyes
I really enjoyed Iowa, and I think the Rock would be the same. Great list Moobz. Need another track like Old ATL, Darlington, and Homestead so the Japanese return would be cool!
Motegi's road surface was raised in the 2011 earthquake, and the damage was greater than the attached road course, so the race is still not held due to the difficulty of reconstruction.
I yelled "Yes!" ten times watching this video! I went to both of the races at Road America and most of the ones at Kentucky (including the 20-mile traffic jam 400 in 2011...well, the last 65 laps of it anyway) and they were great experiences!
Rockingham resident. Bought 6 tickets for the whole weekend the day tickets went on sale. Mama bought six for Saturday and my sister bought six for Saturday. We’re all in the same section. Gonna be a fun weekend for us!
I NEVER want to see NASCAR race at Chicagoland and/or Kentucky again. They already race at Vegas and Kansas, which I think is one 1 1/2 mile D trioval too many. It sucked to watch four of those tracks, with multiple races on some of them, every single season. I think Montreal would be a fun one if they can get the interest; if I remember correctly, it was lack of revenue that killed the Xfinity series races there. I'd like to see Cup race at Mosport; the trucks were amazing there and I'm sad it's gone. Long Beach would be great, since there seems to be nothing coming out of Fontana anymore. Motegi is a real stretch, simply because of the costs of getting cars and equipment there (and I'd rather see the cars at Suzuka anyway). If we're going full on stupid international racing here, I'd love to see the Cup cars at a smoothened and upgraded Monza oval and blasting down the straights at Interlagos. But Rockingham... that would be the prize. That track always produced great racing, but it's so close to Charlotte and Darlington that getting and keeping even one date will be a challenge, especially as it's not owned by NASCAR.
It's the first oval since 1903. Dave Marcis, the late Dick Trickle, the late Alan Kulwicki, Rich Bickle, Matt Kenseth, Paul Menard, the Sauter Family, and the Wimmer Brothers are all from Wisconsin.
If we can’t get Montreal, how about Canadian Tire (Mosport). The truck series races there weren’t too terrible, think Cup cars would perform better there.

If we're talking exhibition races, one good suggestion is the Thunderdome at Calder Park in Australia, nascar did a exhibition race in 1988, which was won by Neil Bonnett
Its quite a list, Michael, and definitely a good one, especially with Chicagoland Speedway and Twin Ring Motegi! Just as a side note on Twin Ring Motegi, that race is on UA-cam for anyone who hasn't seen it, definitely give it a watch, its pretty entertaining, and I think a return with the NextGen car would be something special!
NASCAR has raced once in Japan but I think NASCAR needs to host a race in Europe to increase its popularity on this continent. 2 most probable venues could be Lausitzring in Germany and Monza oval in Italy.
Calder Park Thunderdome in Australia return. The facility, especially its road course layout, was renovated and revived a year or two ago. The oval circuit still needs a bit of renovation to be raced on, but it can realistically be done now. This comes after the entire facility was abandoned for decades like North Wilkesboro Speedway was. Another Aussie facility that can be used for races is the Adelaide International Raceway. It also was unused for a decade or two before the road course was revived. The oval circuit also needs a bit of renovation to be raced on, but it can also realistically be done. In fact, NASCAR, and the long defunct AUSCAR (NASCAR’s Australian series), once raced on both oval circuits. NASCAR had a couple of Cup series exhibition races at both circuits in the 1980s (the first international exhibition races outside of North America in NASCAR’s history) and AUSCAR regularly racing at both circuits throughout its existence in the 1980s and 1990s. Argentina also has a nearly 3 mile long oval circuit that IndyCar (but never NASCAR surprisingly enough) raced on in the 1970s. It, like the other two aforementioned circuits, was abandoned for years before being renovated and revived, and is still used to this day, like the other two aforementioned circuits were/are (though this is for its road course layout like the other two aforementioned circuits also are). It too (like the other two aforementioned oval layout circuits) needs some more renovation on the oval circuit layout, but a race can be held again at the oval circuit layout.
i love to see nascar run the cup series on the toronto street circuit after watching good racing from the nascar canada series from time to time again aside indy its really good and sometimes wild racing
I think NASCAR should start spreading out more. If all three series are racing one week, they don't all need to be at the same track. Maybe one year Chicagoland is a Xfinity series only racetrack, while cup goes to Kentucky and Trucks race on dirt. Then next year cup and Xfinity trade Chicago and Kentucky. Maybe while Xfinity and Cup go to Montreal, Trucks can return to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
I think the Milwaukee Mile would be a good track. Mainly because the Milwaukee Mile is the oldest racetrack IN THE WORLD and the truck series left only after 2 years. Happy at least Indycar has come back and those races in 2024 were amazing. Hoping the Cup Series can give the Mile one more shot
Chicagoland needs to come back for the cup series. It put on incredible racing. Just look at 2018 and 2019 as examples. Add to that the fact that the next gen has shown promise at intermediates, and it’s no wonder why NASCAR should make a return. I think Eldora for the cup series would be a fun one to race on. The truck series put on great shows there. Why not try it for cup? Plus it would give the chance for the cup series to go to a REAL dirt track. (Looking at you Bristol dirt.) Completely agree with you on Montreal. In the late 2000’s and early 2010’s, XFINITY was so fun to watch there. I think a return would be awesome.
I throw some ideas out there WillowSprings Street Course, Laguna Seca, Pikes Peak International Raceway, Knoxville Raceway, etc. to throw a couple out there.
I don't like the talk that Auto Club is going to be gone forever, not sure how much info I can share because I don't want to get fired, but Auto Club is being turned into a short track. It just takes CA forever to plan, develop, and build things, the track is happening and it's different than y'all have thought it up to be.
1. That'll be intriguing to watch for trucks and xfinity 2. If the Xfinity series race at Mexico 🇲🇽 is successful, I don't see why they can't go back to Canada 🇨🇦 Talk about nostalgia from way back when I was little, even if I wasn't completely buckled in to NASCAR at the time. 3. I honestly don't think it's a good idea 😒 4. Maybe for trucks, but I think Cup and Xfinity should simply stay at the Superspeedway 5. You never know til ya try 6. Oh yes! GR8 idea about street circuits outside of just Chicago!! 7. IDK about Cup, but I don't see why trucks can't go back to Eldora. 8. Yes 💯 Independence Day weekend 🙌 🇺🇸 9. If the formula 1 race fell flat, I'm thinking the NASCAR races there would too 10. Oh yeah! I think it'd be fairly wild.
Agree with Montreal, or even Canadian Tire Motorsports Park getting a Cup race. Another California track I'd love to see Cup at is Laguna Seca. Seeing those cars coming down the corkscrew would be phenomenal. A good idea also would be to move Championship weekend to Vegas and instead of running the oval, run the street circuit F1 runs. Have NASCAR there first weekend of November, then F1 the second week of November.
Memphis raceway I think deserves a race. With Bristol being in the eastern part of the state and Nashville getting a track there is no race for the west Tennessee/northern Mississippi/eastern Arkansas market. Mississippi, Arkansas, & Louisiana all don’t have a race that’s local. Yeah you can say Nashville or Talladega but those tracks Ard 5+ hours away from Mississippi, Louisiana, & Arkansas. Memphis gives all those fans a local track. It gave us good racing in the past in Busch and trucks, it’s in a good market, & you could do something like slapshoes hinted at with the Tennessee triple crown. The three short tracks of Tennessee. Bristol, Nashville, Memphis. Makes a lot of sense.
Here’s the issue with Motegi. There isn’t a demand for racing to take place on the oval. The damages that occurred during the 2011 Japanese earthquakes. Indycar last raced there in 2011. Could indycar go there for a race? Maybe, which brings up another issue with that region being Motegi isn’t that large of a town and can’t fit everything needed where it has only 2 entrances and exits which are located in similar areas of the track
Thought Tony got pissed at NASCAR about Eldora was because he wanted to host the Cup series for their first dirt race is years but they did Bristol instead. So he didn’t resign with them and they went Knox instead.
Motegi i think hasn't seen any racing since the earthquake, but i think if nascar could run Suzuka road corse, surprisingly i think alot of fans would rather see an exhibition race in japan compared to points race in Mexico it seem ls like
For the markets with multiple tracks that would / could want to be featured on the NASCAR schedule, why not "flip flop" from example: Chicago Street Course one year, and Chicagoland Speedway the next?
I believe Chicagoland's future was threatened by real estate development, and that's one of the reasons why we've been racing in Chicago proper the last two years, but as far as I can tell, the facility is still standing. A return to Kentucky Speedway *SHOULDN'T* be that controversial. That event was starting to build momentum with back-to-back electric, dare I say "instant classic" finishes in 2019 and 2020, its last two years on the schedule, but the online peanut gallery had already made its mind up by then, just like they ignore all the good Brickyard finishes (with the exception of Xfinity last year). The question I have about Motegi is whether or not the necessary repairs have ever been made to the oval, because if you don't know, the oval was damaged in an earthquake in 2011 (the Fukushima one, I believe), and that's why IndyCar's final flyaway race over there was run on the road course for the one and only time.
Swap Chicagoland and Kentucky on your list and we're in business. Kentucky is basically a sister track of Texas, which has consistently been the worst intermediate track on the schedule.
It’ll never happen., but shutdowns I 285 around Atlanta and I 295 ? around DC …. They would be about like 60 miles….. send each series in stages….. truck xfinity and cup on the track at the same time like IMSA
@@MichaelMrucz Just got done watching another video from Just your average race fan that said the opposite. Why NASCAR is losing its old fans. But hey if you have to close tracks with empty seats then Texas would be a good start. But hey nothing is wrong in NASCAR the fans will be back. LOL

8. Yes 💯 Independence Day weekend 🙌 🇺🇸
9. If the formula 1 race fell flat, I'm thinking the NASCAR races there would too
I want to see NASCAR back at Nashville fairgrounds since that was in the 70s and 80s I believe
The streets of ST. Petersburg
Any intermediate track on earth needs to have a race right now. The cup car will never be better on them.
I like these types of videos. Would you consider creating your dream NASCAR schedule in the future?
Can you do more like these ? Great video
Pittsburgh Street Race, potholes and all
I really wanna see Rockingham !
Chicagoland speedway and Kentucky
How about laguna seca it would be crazy to see stock cars go down the corkscrew
It’ll never happen., but shutdowns I 285 around Atlanta and I 295 ? around DC …. They would be about like 60 miles….. send each series in stages….. truck xfinity and cup on the track at the same time like IMSA
Love the list dude
Freedom factory would be awesome
MID OHIO PLEASE
The Rock is definitely #1, but I think Pikes Peak Raceway could be a fun track.
Well with the empty seats I see at tracks today, I would say you need to get people in those seats before opening up more tracks.
A lot of tracks are sellouts right now. And maybe the tracks with empty seats, they need to move away from
@@MichaelMrucz Just got done watching another video from Just your average race fan that said the opposite. Why NASCAR is losing its old fans. But hey if you have to close tracks with empty seats then Texas would be a good start. But hey nothing is wrong in NASCAR the fans will be back. LOL
Laguna Seca would be cool.
I would absolutely love if they went to road Atlanta, my favorite track in the world and I would easily go
