My twins are 8 weeks old now. I was put on triple feeding whilst still in the hospital when they were born. I was not told how to monitor and progress to getting off the carousel. It made me feel like I was failing with no end in sight. I wish I had this video at the start, or someone to properly explain at the time. Thank you for this info! I'm sharing with my lactation consultant and mum groups. I'm in a regional area in Western Australia and find there's a lack of resources and support, so keep videos like this coming for myself and others in similar situations! ❤️
I’m so glad it was helpful!!! It can be so easy to just do what you’ve always done, but having a plan to get out of that hamster wheel is so important. Twins are even more challenging! Glad you’re getting some help 💙
I’m 10 week PP and still doing this, but am now only pumping once a day because I can’t keep up with it. I don’t know what to do, hopefully this video will give me some encouragement and tips. I don’t want to stop breastfeeding.
Wishing you the best. We made it through. Hope you're able to as well. Get a consultant even if online. Nipple shields saved my breasts and allowed me to be able to breastfeed and now don't use them anymore
We did it and made it through. Wishing you all the best. A consultant even online can help loads. Nipple shields saved us ask about those as well if latching issues. Hugs
I did this until month 3 because baby was not latching properly. My sentiments go out to you. Shes so much better now I think because her mouth grew and able to latch better so almost exclusively breastfeeding and bottle maybe a couple times a week if I need to leave home as I am no longer pumping. Thank god we made it to the other side. It's worth it. You got this momma!

I wish I’d had this video three years ago when I was feeling completely overwhelmed tripple feeding with my first baby. Now getting ready for baby number two, this is giving me hope for a smoother experience this time.
The timing on this is so providential. Tomorrow I’m bringing home my nicu baby (35 and 5) and we will be triple feeding since she can only manage about half her feed by breast. Here’s praying that all goes well!
My supply is low so I’ve been triple feeding. I feel I’ve been over feeding my baby. I don’t know how much she’s getting when I’m breastfeed so after I breastfeed feed baby 2oz and boom here comes the spit up.
Did this for three months for a fullterm baby that didn’t feed well on the breast. I had low milk supply too and my husband could only be around on the weekends. It drove me insane, I almost lost my mind on this schedule.
I’m doing triple feeding right now, and usually my baby wakes up hungry right when I finish pumping. This makes me skip pumping sessions and wait for the baby to wake up to feed instead, making sure the baby gets to a full breast. What should I do? How to increase my milk supply?
Well, skipping sessions is only going to hurt you. I know it’s hard trying to balance both. Are you working with a professional to come up with a plan and some clear goals of what is needed and how to get there? If not, I’d recommend that!
Thanks for this informative video, I do use a pacifier to be able to calm my baby as he becomes very fussy when I try to burp him in the middle of the feed as he would vomit the whole feed if I didn’t any advice to make him burp without being angry 🙏
I'm a working mom exhausted with triple feeding (you just taught me that term!). When I get home, I'm trying to breastfeed instead of bottle feed so I can take a break from pumping, but my baby is teething and thinks it's funny to bite my nipples 😂. Obviously, that hurts so I stop trying after a few attempts and go back to pumping/bottle feeding. Any suggestions to discourage her from biting me? Also, when she latches, she falls asleep quickly or doesn't want anymore so my breasts are not empty and I still need to pump so not sure i can really get out of the cycle; unless, you have any suggestions? Thank you!
This situation is a bit complex and needs a deep dive! There’s some good info online about biting, but the feeding cycle needs a bit more evaluation. I do this in my coaching program, but if you want just a one time consult check in with your lactation consultant!
@@youacct100 yeah my baby used to fall asleep at the breast and not latching properly so didn't empty but I implemented lots of measurements to try and keep her awake even every 5 minutes burp and switch breasts or if about to fall asleep burp and switch and that wakes them a bit and eventually their mouth muscles get bigger and stronger and improve. Because if they take too much bottle they might realize how easy it is and lose interest in breastfeeding as it requires so much effort
My baby is 3.5 weeks. I’m doing triple feeding. She’s not transferring well. LC said I have low supply. We’ve been doing this for 3 weeks and it’s exhausting. Right now my husband feed while I pump. Now he has to go back to work. There’s no way I can do all that. Help!
I am 33 days pp and i have been doing triple feeding while not knowing that that’s what I am doing. I want to be able to not have to give formula while also not letting nursing & pumping taking over my schedule and without damaging my nipples.

im terrified to have another kid after two kids i had to triple feed. i gave up after 3 mo with the second. I had low supply for both kids IGT, tongue ties, metabolic issues, eating disroders, etc. and my kids were allergic to formula.... oof it sucked wholly.
I have tried to adjust my pumping settings and also my flanges to try to cut down my pumping time. My ideal time is 30 minutes, but usually i stop at 20 min. My goal is to become more efficient with pumping. I'm not sure what else to try, but am open to any and all suggestions!
Hi. I have the same situation with posterior tongue tie. Here in Norway they do not want to cut it and the official recommendation is to switch to formula. We have some appointments booked for August and I am doing some exercises to work with his tongue, but it seems these 2 months of doing it will not end so soon as I thought. So I want to become more efficient in pumping to at least bring my supply up to be able to remove the formula. Can you help me with that?
I have been struct with triple feeding and baby is not latching properly and some times she latch only on one side. And i need to get more supply currently i am getting 1 to 2 oz when i am pumping Any suggestions?
Hey I hope you’re able to see this comment. My baby is just over 2 weeks old now. He’s breastfeeding well (good latch, audible swallows, lots of wet and dirty diapers), but my doctor recommended supplementing him with breast milk/formula to hopefully get 450ml/kg/day to put on some weight My question is how do you suggest I supplement? especially since I don’t know how much he’s getting at each breastfeed. He breastfeeds for 20-45 mins usually. Also I’ve been pumping and I get roughly 30-75ml total from both sides each session (pumping is quite exhausting tho, do you have a recommendation on how much pumping is necessary?) Thank you (:
Hi! Love your videos. I have been stuck in triple feeding for 2 months now, after realizing at 3 weeks pp that baby was not gaining. At 7 weeks pp I found a posterior tongue tie and got that revised, but by then, my supply was severely compromised, his latch was poor, and he simply preferred the bottle. I am currently only 3-4 oz short of having enough, between him nursing and my pumped milk, but I am getting 1.75-3.5 oz when pumping right after feeds( depending on time of day). So clearly his latch is still insufficient. Do you think working with you could help me? The nearest IBCLC to me is 1.5 hours away! I would LOVE to find someone who can help come up with a PLAN that WORKS!
I focus on pumping support for working moms, so that piece I can absolutely help with! If you want help with latching, an IBCLC is a better fit. Try some virtual lactation options like The Lactation Network. If you do want pumping support, feel free to reach out!

What bottle/nipple do you have in the thumbnail picture? It looks like a great nipple to help facilitate a proper latch
