West of England Bandsman's Festival - Bugle 16/6/18 Morning March

The annual contest at Bugle, Cornwall, where traffic gives way to bands on the A391, as some of the day's competitors march down Fore Street on their way to Mollinis Park for the contest proper. A great atmosphere as usual whatever the weather!
Bands in order are:
St. Dennis Youth, Indian Queens, Lostwithiel Town/Training, Okehampton Excelsior, St. Minver Training, Spijkerpakkenband, Bugle, Bodmin Town/Training, SW Comms, Camborne Junior Contesting, St. Austell Town/Youth and St. Dennis.

Well Daniel, if you've been to London, you have been to England but this is about as far away from London as you can get!!! The event is unique, happens just once a year and is a great experience. I'm so pleased you took the time to watch and I'm even more please you enjoyed it and took the time to comment. Thanks.

It's the same as saying I've never been to America, but I've been to New York. I'd assume that you're saying you've been to London but not other parts of England.

Please don’t knock Slaidburn. It is a well written (obviously as W Rimmer wrote it!) march, easily suited for use as a training march. It is over 100 years old and is still a ‘best seller’ in the listings. It was the first march I learned, back in 1955, with the aid of fingering being written underneath, and which led to a very successful musical career. I suspect there are thousands, possibly even millions, of musicians who could tell a similar story.
