    Hey helpful tip for future benchmarks for GTA 5 especially on older hardware. Turn off advanced settings, and put the sliders all the way to the minimum, except for traffic density. It will result in so much higher avarages when being cpu bound. 60 on average is still fine but people might wonder "Damn, GTA V a game from 2013 and barely exceeds 60 fps on i7?" And the reason behind that would be the advanced settings and the sliders, causing the game to be cpu bound, although the cpu is not even running on 70%

    Great to see this and other channels getting back into the flip game.
    I too have my own flip challenge, attempting to see how long it takes to make a cold hard $1000 of pure profit.

    Really worth the price! In my city I only get i5 4570 + GTX 1050 for $150. Like what I’ve ever built last year in my channel

    Who puts an i3-2120 on a MB like that ?!?
    An old i5 really doesn't cut it for budget gaming these days.
    The Asus H81M MB is readily available on eBay for good prices because they're being pulled from old Pre-builts.
    The nice thing about Haswell is that it can run Windows 11 24H2. And going up to 6th or 7th gen just isn't worth the price because of poor generational uplift.
    Too bad my local market sucks. In my city, they would have asked $250 for the two PCs you started with. I'm lucky if I can net $100 on a build. I tend to use a lot of new but affordable components. This has its own benefit because people feel more comfortable buying a PC with new storage, RAM and PSU.

  • @razer1158
    @razer1158 4 місяці тому +1

    Great build for $100. Haswell is still viable in 2024 for some lower end games.

    • @UltraBudgetPC
      @UltraBudgetPC  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes. Some ppl insist that you need at least 10th gen Intel/Ryzen 3000 platforms at the bare minimum but I find that if an individual just wants to play older stuff and esports, a build like this is all they need now and probably for a few years.

    G'day UBPC,
    I think the i7 & RX570 was a good combo choice for the parts you have as early i7s can get a good 60-100fps @ 1080p so pair nicely with 970/1060 3GB/6GB RX470/570/480/580, plus while a bit of a bottleneck in High 100+ fps Multi Player Shooters you could even go for a 1660 for higher Image Quality Settings if you like single player games with similar performance to Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
    🤔at 1:20 you said because the DELL MB was dead you couldn't test the i5 but it will work in the EVGA-P67 if the BIOS is up to date for 3000.
    ps just wondering if you have an email for the channel? I've been thinking about the EVGA P67 FTW, I would really like it for my EVGA (i7-2700K)XP PC & as the are very hard to find down here would be interested to see how much shipping to Australia would be & if importing it would be worthwhile.

    Fantastic build for just under $100! Would definitely recommend Fortnite, R6 Siege, Minecraft, and Roblox added to the testing suite as these budget systems are what first time buyers/parents are looking to buy to start their PC gaming journeys :)

    • @UltraBudgetPC

      Yes I forgot to mention the thermals. Overall, the temps were fine other than in a more CPU intensive game like BG3 where with the side panel on, the ambient temperature inside the case greatly increased and the CPU got to the upper 70° range easily. I will probably add in a cheap intake fan I've already got before I sell it off just to ensure that the buyer is getting something that functions properly in any situation they would expect.

    Thats cool, I picked up TWO AM3+ FX gaming rigs from my local craigslist. Im planning to keep one and the other one I'll resell it on craigslist at Cost im doing it out of charity. If u guys are interested and If I have time I'll make a quick dirty recording of the rigs out in the backyard with my fon. For video cards Im thinkg of not too pricey Radeon cards: 580, 5500 XT, 5700, 5700XT, 6600. And if you guys want an idea of FX performance it looks like its something between i7-870 First Gen Intel and i7-2600 Second Gen Intel. The FX chips have most cpu instructions sets so its definitely better than a Core 2 Quad.
