i remember a veteran sharing an umbrella with me when i was in hidden forest. i was having a really bad day that time, and they stayed a bit and listened to what i was playing. after a couple songs, they waved goodbye. i didn't light them, nor did they chat, but i felt like they said "i hope that cheered you up"
it did. a little kindness goes a long way for people, you know?
Something similar happened to me with a guy who wanted to lose all his wings. I helped him with the umbrella but he wanted to lose them. so I stayed with him for a while (we lit each other with candles so it wasn't you xd) in short, in the end he thanked me and went home :^) 🤭

I remember something similar happened to me before, but I was on the other end of that. I remember them playing on the bridge under the rain, and I would clap whenever they paused. Who knows, it could’ve been you haha.
Sky is wonderful and I was once very curious and decided to use shiver emote in the rain and accidentally went afk when I came back, most of my wings were gone so I was very upset-
You know watching this made me lose all my jealousy on everyone getting the paid items. The little moff in the end felt like me. I keep seeing so many vets and even rich moths get the new items while I'm still stuck using the tarp, brown cape, and the three hair styles in Isle. I maybe missing a lot on this season, but at least I'll still get some from the in-game currency with some good-ol fashioned grinding.
I remember feeling the same way when I first started during season of the Little Prince. From what I've seen though, every season is better than the last so I just gotta keep moving forward
Just remember to not burn yourself out or stress over it. ^^ sooner or later the spirits come as traveling spirits anyhow

Honestly I never gained any jealousy whether the rich players were respected or not. Alot of us don't have the money and we're all treated the same :]

I buy the pas of this season c'ouse I really want it, but looking back, mi life could have been so diferente if I look for other people that play the game. I'm a solo player not only c'ouse it's comfortable some times but also I didn't have sky friends back then. My first real sky friend was when I still use the brown cap
i have so many good memories of when I was re-descobering sky. Plus the way I see the wolrd sky become and even more beautiful game. And feels a bit weird to think things like ; feels like summer. C'ouse it remember me of my home, of where I am, from were the sun burns but we are born from sun an the beachs around all of our island. It feels like home.
The tea party reminded me of how I’d see people host a tea party (with the tea set from days of bloom) right on the way to Eden. Like I’m testing short cuts and got knocked off course and land right next to a squad having tea by the entrance

@@Kixx_KG man I wish I found you when I had my first time going up there, I was so petrified. I was all alone and didn't have anyone and, 5 different times, lost every bit of light I had yet I somehow managed to crawl my way to a lantern and basically clung to it, I didn't even understand what was happening. All I was doing was following the others and, when I could, was giving light to the statues. I remember when I actually died, I remember being so confused when we followed this other player and then the end scene. It made me relieved and yet...even now I feel...hollow? I guess its because, while I saw everyone traveling in pairs of 2 or groups of 3-6, I was the only one who was alone, the only one who managed to make it and yet I was alone. It makes me wonder how much better I could have done if I had a partner.

@@Kixx_KG im actually still nervous of making the Eden journey at all anymore. I jump on the chance of darkness popping up in another place so I can still get candles but I haven't been able to make the travel to Eden since then. I've more so been combing through each world and each nook and cranny to find all the bits of light possible and all the secrets I can.
Sometimes, what i like to do is make a simple outfit using almost only base-game items. I really like the basic pants and capes, they really make me remember the moth days where i dreamed of all the cool cosmetics out there but back then my main focus was exploring and collecting spirits. Me and my friends often joke around with how many candles we have and stuff but what really matters to me is all the great friends I've made in sky that i talk to almost everyday. Often our smalltalk turns into a conversation we hold for several minutes and i love it. We do candleruns, Eden, quests and everything but we also remember to take some time and just hang out with a friend. ❤️ I love the sky community and all the great people in it.
I used to not like the color of the base game pants, but I've gotten enough things from traveling spirits that pair well with the clothing to the point the baggy pants cosmetic in the base game is one of my absolute favorites.
Moth cape is the best cape. I always try and fit it into every outfit, even outfits with elder hair or “veteran” cosmetics.
I don’t know how people have conversations that are only minutes long. If I teleport to a friend with chat, we end up talking for like 3 hours😭 I don’t know why. I just say hi and they say hi back…

@@kaleycooper9111 in Season of Enchantment, first time i had a conversation in sky, was 7hours long, with one friend and 2 strangers. One of the stranger is now my wife.
It’s funny the competition is based off how early you discovered the game, when in reality this is something out of our control. Lots of people lose motivation with time, candle running feels draining, and we feel alone sometimes because of these silent competitions. Aside from friendships, sky also has another meaning that lots of people forget, and I’ve been wanting to make my own vid one day describing the way to enjoy sky once again.

This is so real. Not to mention some of us didn't have the right devices to be able to play it early on. I tried downloading it back in 2020 when it was only available on iPhone, then forgot about it for years until I found out it was on the Switch. With any community there's always this elitist thing when it comes to "I found it first." Lately I've been trying to ignore feeding into that competitive mindset and just taking my time in the game 😅
These days, a lot of sky people only cares about flexing IAPs, IGCs and looking rich.
I hope we all can go back to our roots and be the humble, wholesome sky players we always were.

I don’t think we ever were. We just… hid it more carefully. Deep down, we’re all little jealous moths and honestly, there’s no shame in that. Everyone’s allowed to be self indulgent from time to time. I kinda dislike how worshipped the sky community is. We aren’t saints so don’t paint us that way. We’re real people with real emotions. Not a happy face that can only make polite small talk
As a 2.5 year vet, with a large group of 2+ year vet friends, I can assure you that flexing is not really a thing at a point. The people who (try to) flex are those who have been around for ~3 seasons and feel the need to impress moffs.
Most players like me either keep to themselves/their core group of friends, or are very willing to help new players and/or make new friends.
im a 3 year vet and i only buy accessories for my own personal love for them and character design ideas 💝 a lot of people dont like the fish cosmetic set, but i bought it and dont regret a thing :) i like being a little tiny sea monster with my bull mask
Friendships are more important than wealth and cosmetics- This animation reminds me of when I made my best sky friend. I was a moth, and I met a veteran who had many cosmetics and is probably candle+heart rich. We're really good friends, and we have fun competition on cosmetics.

Thanks for showing the moth at the end. Not everyone has money to spare and I really appreciated the addition of a person who was not at the right time/place in the game to get these items or didn't have the money to begin with. When I joined the game (When it was launched) I had no money to pay for the cosmetics and it took a long time before I could buy a cape that I really liked. Thank you.

I miss playing this game and playing with people. I recently just took a break from sky to get my life back together. I reinstalled the game to play again and boy, did I miss a lot.
A ton of people still do! ^^ I've yet to meet a person ingame who really brags about their cosmetics, some people might say they "wish they had the AP", but that's understandable, in my opinion ^^ Most people I've met don't really make competition out of cosmetics and stuff, from my experience!

For some reason I felt sorry for the moth that came with a torn umbrella
Aw the ending owo. I played since the first season and got every item that ever came into the game. I bought everything that came into the shop. Waiting for my old friends to appear back online so I can show them all the items i've collected. To be able to have fun and play with them again. To be able to share them and use them for cute things. I quit playing in the season of the little prince because the game started getting lonely being by myself for many seasons. I had no friends and it just started to hurt.. remembering the memories of old friends I wished would come back but I know they never wont. I started playing Sky again last week. I missed 3 seasons of items and spirits. I was upset. I came back and saw so many pretty items I didnt have (I wanted the rainbow items T^T). And now everyone has to very old items as well.
Though, I started meeting new players and playing with them. Seeing how they had nothing from other seasons. Seeing all the unlimited items they didnt have that wont come back. I started to feel bad for how I was upset. I actually bought the gamepass for a few people I met this week because I knew how badly they wanted some items but they just couldnt get them. I really hope that made their day. I still play alone but I do hope to one day make close friends again.
@Anime_Cookies_ Thanks~ your comment really made my day. I like and only this type of people like you that I'd to be friends with. Not how people can benefit me in the game but people's kind character as a person in real life. How players act in the game pretty much showed the general frame of the character in a person in real life.
@@stellariaempire I agree. Even now I still run around by myself playing Sky. I do meet a few people along the way but none really stick with me. Its nice leading them around to all the maps still.. feels less lonely even though they leave in the end.

At the end of the day, friendship is the best reward from playing Sky. You may have all the cosmetics in the world, and be alone, looking at friend groups having fun…

as a vet sky player, i found the style i like my character in, starter cape, mid length pants and the captain’s flowy mohawk. i just love it so much and am so attached to my character’s style that i made after my first run through.
This actually almost made me cry, knowing how it's like to try and get all of the stuff as a moth just so you can look great and vets won't make fun of me, but then i realized that most of the people here on sky like you no matter what, even if you're a moth, or if you're a veteran. I found a lot of nice people helping me throughout the months I've been playing on sky, a lot of them helped me. And now i help people who just joined, just like they did to me. I love this community, it's so nice and lovely. Everyone is sweet and helpful.

I really like your animations, even the first ones, they gave me the impression you didn't really know how to do it, but you wanted to animate and spare no effort to do so without worrying over making it perfect. I've always found it inspirational seeing how much you've improved. Each time it gets better, now they move so much more naturally. It's your backgrounds what I always found the most impressing, even in the first animations. There if you look at them closely they are just a bunch of colours seemingly just thrown together, but they always captured the feel of the areas well, and I like that they don't feel flat. Each animation I'm enviously wondering how you make the backgrounds hahah I know it's crazy time consuming to full colour everything, but it really pays off Imo
While everyone be talking about their experience ingame, can't we all appreciate the smoothness and how much improvement the animation is?? Like hell this is top notch! This channel deserve to be recognize especially to tgc! Anyways, keep it up

This is so sweet. It goes to show that no matter how long you've played the game the main goal of Sky is to make friends. Those that are considered Veterans are viewed as Teachers by many Moths that have only played for a few hours, or even a few days. I remember when a Chibi Veteran adopted me when I was a Moth, I'm still learning just how long they have played 😅 I know they have Hidden Forest Elders Hair.

The end was heart warming, i remember when i was a moth, and when i came the hidden forest at first time, there was a guy that trying to teach me the game and always protecting me with his Umbrella, i still not have cool cosmetics but he still don't even care, he is my best buddy!

I’m very much late to the party and seeing so many with such cool cosmetics and how rich they are in hearts and candles sometimes bothers on how I ignored this game for so long that I feel jealous how they spent so much time doing all this and me wanting to catch up soon. I only started a few days ago but it still bangs at my head that I could’ve joined this community so much sooner. I only have like two friends and the second one has been playing for three years whichever completely threw me off guard lol, though they were so nice and encouraging me to keep playing and to fun which definitely made me smile at that.

I always have a spare pass since I buy the pack for me and my sister! So, whenever a new season rolls around - I have a little tradition of giving to a random new Moth I've met.
After all I used to not be able to afford passes back when I first started playing. I know how that feels. And even still I don't get passes each season. But when I do?

That’s… not how it works. A veteran, someone with a long history and built up knowledge of the game, is not a defined by a single scrapped cosmetic of a game that doesn’t exist and frankly, unfair for those who didn’t own iOS
I think being veterans in this game is to have experience, to behave and help moth when they search help !
Well to be honest, i like the moth hairstylle than others..
Fits perfectly in all costumes even the free hair in isle ..
Moths or vets we still help each other at the end of the day..

Awww, the end with the moff really tear me up. It's really hits, when i see other sky child with cool cosmetics. But, my friends sometimes share their cool spell with me when we play together, and help me to grind candles, and reminding me to always save up some candles for when ts with pretty cape come.

I buy some iaps in game but I think best ones are those that you can share with prople or just put out there for others. When i was a moth I dif everything to "grow up" quicker and look like ikemen but.. ifk in the end al this glow up stuff doesnt matter at all. 😂

This video is really cute ,I hope all veterans budget is ok cause it takes alot of money, and I hope most of new babies get introduce to freindly vets cause that'll make them linger in game,I met this moth in wasteland today and after rescue them three times, and make them freinds they were sent out to krills by door bug the moth hasn't been online eversince ,I wish veterans are more freindly to moth too cause next season is scary even to me
