- In our DIY video project we make a dream come true for all of you who want to feel cosy and comfortably warm every now and then: We build an infrared lounge chair that fits into every room. See for yourself how a brilliant idea, beautiful elm wood, classic wood joints, skilled craftsmanship and a precise Hammer® C3 31 combination machine can lead to an exceptional design project such as this. Naturally, all Hammer® and Felder® woodworking machines are suitable for building the Hammer® DIY infrared chair.
We are looking forward to seeing pictures and impressions of your DIY infrared chair! Please tag us on your pictures on Facebook @Felder Group or Instagram @feldergroup.

So great to see Harry again!😀
Congratulations to the mastermind Helli for the great idea and project execution. His love and dedication to perfect woodworking can be felt in every second of this video.
Congratulations also to the man behind the camera, Alex Horvath.
Great shots, exciting closeups, pure emotion.
Caution: Excessive enjoyment of this video is addictive. Your HAMMER advisor will inform you about risks or side effects.
Last but not least, a personal thank you to the team for the opportunity to moderate this video. Was great fun.
Harry Tschu
Instant classic! What a great furniture making demonstration video. Harry's time is so important he wears two watches...!!!??
I have a B3 and an A3.
I make solid wood furniture and use the shaper (spindle molder) frequently, it was really nice to see such a safe, well thought out home made guard used when pattern copying on the shaper.
The chair also has a very pleasing design, sparse, nice lines, good construction.
Absolutely stunning 🙌👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌🤩🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We want to convey our deepest gratitude and love for you all from India.A true beauty ( the chair, Felder Group and of course Master Carpenter Helmut ). Hatts-off and a big salute to you all.God bless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you ☺️
@@FELDERGROUPTV Wow 😮😮😮😮😮 You are most welcome dear Felder Group 😀😀😀😀😀. Anytime.Take care and stay safe ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What is the opening music please ?
Beautiful work I would love to have some of your equipment in my shop ❤
I kept waiting for the Austrian narrator to say -I’ll be back 🤣 great video and amazing tools!
Super many thanks ... !!!
Really enjoying all the build videos. Great stuff.
Very nice video, great team effort and finished chairs are very impressive.

Wonderful..!!
Excelente vídeo, excelente máquinas, ojalá lo traduzcan al español
Super 👌👍❤️
Class content fellas, ausgezeichnet!
Eres un mousntro para trabajar la madera gracias
GOOD!
Spectacular chair build. I will make this as one of my favorite projects. Can you also make a rocking chair version. Looking forward to a great project.
Thank you for the kind words! I will send the request to our master carpenter Helli.
As soon as I saw the size of the cutter on the spin moulder I shivered! I rarely use it on my robland, scares the shit out of me 😂
What A great idea and work...
From the USA
New project idea floor standing Grand Father Clock, with a wall version also. Would be great to watch.
Thank you for the nice words :)
I will forward your idea to our Team!
Nice work ! One question : for the radius milling you fixed a router miller to the spindle moulder shaft. My own C3-31 has an non removable shaft, is it possible to adapt collet chucks on it ?
Unfortunately, this is not possible with a permanently mounted spindle.
Teutonic precision produces a really nice chair...was that Wagnerian influence on the music?
Please tell me what song has been used at the start/end. I like it and can't find it, not even with shazam. Thanks you in advance.
I cannot find it either. Did you find out what it was in the end please ?
Where do you get the heater and the upholstered cushions? Seems you left out some rather important details.
The infos are in the blueprints on our website!
@@FELDERGROUPTV i downloaded them but couldn't find those informations, could you please share the size of the panels for the pillows and the brand and model of the heater? Thank you
super video. what is the name of the song from 44:30?
Is there a link to the Infrared heating element to use? I couldn't find it in the downloadable materials. I hope to meet Helli and Harry when I visit the factory someday. Great work.
Ping. Anyone know where I can source that infrared heading element from? And for the metal headrest supports? (In USA) @feldergrouptv
Great and interresting job. But, where can we find these infrared heater ?
The infos are in the blueprints on our website!
i downloaded them but couldn't find those informations, could you please share the size of the panels for the pillows and the brand and model of the heater? Thank you
As awesome as this video is… a year later and nobody knows the name of the intro and outro song 🤷🏾♂️
Felder Power Demonstration
What’s the song during the intro and outro??
Did you find the song name in the end please ?
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find the song.
Le prix svp
Bonjour @ABAB-hd9mx, merci pour votre intérêt pour notre projet de chaise infrarouge DIY. Very nicely build....but build an infrared element into a chair and cover the element up with a cushion is a recipe for burning down your house.
Even if the cover is removable...a child plays once with the switch while the cover is still on and you have a nice fire starter.
Read instructions from an infrared heater....it states to not cover it.
As nice as it looks I feel it is a safety risk.
As corrective action I suggest to re-edit your video as soon as possible and cut the parts with the infrared heater out...it will be still a nice video
Felder alway puts great emphasis on safety of there machines...then you should put also safety on top priority if you build and advertise items made with your machines
If you want to say thank you for preventing Felder from a PR disaster ...I really like your cnc machine 😉
Feel free to remove my comments when the relevant people got the message and acted accordingly.
I think you are incorrect. Felder have specifically chosen an infrared heater for safety. It won’t cause a fire.
@@singe81 even if this would be the case
..they would have to specifically point out what you can or can not install....just to make sure that everyone gets the message that there is a fire risk if you use not the correct equipment....that didn't happen....as the video is directed at hobbyists the video suggest that building a heater into a seat is a great idea....and that is not the case
@@berndstrauss151 if you follow their instructions, then it’s fine! You’re suggesting that someone might change the design and incorporate a wood burning stove onto the seat and that would be felder’s fault?! 😆
A hating element that is used in an electric blanket would have been the right choice...this element go only to about 30 degree(depending on model)This resistance element are also used in car seat heating and could have been build into the cuishins ( You can buy this silicon coated resistant elements in every better sorted electrical supply business. ..they are also used to defrost freezer drainage pipes and so on).
An infrared element is designed to transfer heat via ....well ...INFRARED/light. So if the light would shine directly at you, you get the heating effect. If it shines like in the video on cuishons you are warming up first them. If this material is now easy combustible you have definitely a fire risk...and not a very efficient heating as well as the cuishins act as insulators.
Several people on here are asking what the music is. I emailed Felder and they did not bother to reply. Would you buy from a company with that attitude ?
