I was one of the 14 or so people watching The Lost World at 6am on TNT, and it wasn't for any of those reasons. Let's just say I was glad she only had one costume.
I'm glad to see SOMEONE acknowledge that So Weird existed. People at the time called it "X-Files for kids" but in hindsight, I think it's better described as a "family-friendly Supernatural". (just for clarification, the ACTOR was named Patrick; his character was named Jack)
Farscape was probably one of the best sci-fi shows that is very unappreciated it wasn't given a real big proper ending but ended in a big TV movie called the Peacekeeper War but it was really really good different well written and the the people didn't always get along with each other done by Brian Hansen Jim Henson's son probably one of the best sci-fi series ever created next to Doctor Who
I remember watching so weird but I remember an episode where they turn into dogs , firescape , 100 deeds for Eddie McDowell and other shows that are on this list
So, Farscape, I knew I remembered that one for sure, and when I started seeing clips of BeastMaster and 100 Deeds, I remembered those as well. The other ones, not so much, but I was in my terrible 2s at the time they aired, 😉 but had luck mostly with Internet Archives in finding them. Thank you for this, did enjoy the video.
@@LatterDayLinus I never actually watched Farscape (was born in early 90s) but remember my grandparents’ house had some Farscape cards. The only one I remember was of a blue/green woman
I watched Farscape for a while and I did like it, but for some reason, I missed a few episodes and when I tried to come back, there were several new characters and the overall plotline had shifted significantly enough that I was completely lost. Since Sci-Fi aired reruns very sporadically back then, I couldn't catch up, so I just cut my losses and walked away.
Fun fact James Gunn is a Farscape fan and Guardians of the Galaxy takes ALOT of inspiration from Farscape. Ben Browder even had a cameo in GOTG Vol 2 ! Also Rockne S O'bannon who worked on Alien Nation also worked on Farscape !!!
I never saw nor knew this was even a show, but your Lost World entry intrigued me. 1. I guess because of the original Lost World book it was safe, but I’d almost think it would hit a legal snag being released not too long after Jurassic Park: Lost World. 2. A TV show you had to order through PPV? That’s real odd. Obviously HBO/Showtime and even a period, Disney Channel you had to pay extra for or your can order movies and sports/concerts/wrestling through PPV. But was there ever other TV series you had to order via PPV?
Keep up the work just discovered you: bingeing your videos. I just refreshed on so weird being Disney+ when I was young I felt like it was the best out of goosebumps or are you afraid of the dark but after the rewatch realized how corny it really was! But still I think it classic and try put a little bit more content out! Still enjoy what you do.
I took a theatre class taught by the guy who played the dad on 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd. Didn't realize until about when the class ended, even though I'd seen some episodes of the show
Thanks for reminding me of 'Eddie Mcdowd'! use to watch that all the time, but I had completely forgotten! XD But there's good news for 'Farscape'-fans; the series lives on in novels and comic-books! IDW launched a brand-new series just a few years ago! =)
Out of these I watched Farscape (personal favorite), Beastmaster and The lost world. Farscape was weird but in a good way it genuinely managed to create alien atmosphere and setting, though the writing was uneven. Beasmaster was equal parts generic and dull, I remember bits and pieces bit not whole storylines. The lost world, on the other hand, had some very interesting episodes and storylines, some really memorable, one of few shows I got angry that ended on a cliffhanger.
I remember FarScape and the Beastmaster, though I never watched them. I love the 1982 Beastmaster movie, but the series seemed like an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Hercules and Xena.
Farscape.... its pronounced "John Kriton" at least that is how they say it for as long as the show ran. Miss that show and was so disappointed the way it ended.
I watched So Weird and you can too. The entire series is avalible on Disney+ Still one of the best shows Disney ever made and I think the last show they filmed that wasn't limited to a set they built in a studio. Unfirtunently you can no longer interact with the web site from the show which did actually use to really exist. It wasn't just a made up thing for the series this was pretty much the first piece of media that made it's characters feel real by having a web site were fans could directly interact with the characters. I also watched 100 Deeds of Eddie McDowel which got canceled LONG before he ever got to 100 deeds.
I’m watching BeastMaster right now. It IS dumb but mostly my kind of dumb. The two leads are outshined by the recurring characters. It also has a few Farscape guest stars. Not the best Xena clone but it’s worth a look IMO. The Lost World is just fun, though, no qualifications except it does end on a cliffhanger 😢
Interesting that this vid gets uploaded at almost the exact same time that Jewel Staite uploads a vid on her channel about her being on So Weird. I don't recall the show at the moment, but what are the odds I got 2 vids referencing So Weird that were uploaded at the nearly exact same time show up in my YT homepage?...
I loved so weird ❤ lost interest when Fiona left 😢 I also watched beast-master occasionally only because I thought the main character was hot 😅 i also honestly thought the lost world show was a fever dream. Never saw or heard of Farscape.
Clearly you don’t remember Farscape bc you butchered the main characters name. (Which is only spoke about 79 times each episode) lol. I loved Farscape if you couldn’t tell.
Farscape had a HORRIBLE pilot but isn't weird. It's like the inside of my head. I'm totally normal. Right? And Crichton's name is pronounced Cry-ton. The Lost World wasn't weird. It was just bad. And not really bad. More So Bad It Is Good.
Do You remember these?
yay
I remember watching 100 deeds of Eddie McDowd but thought it was a 2000/2001 show
@@BR-jw7pm just barely😇October 1999
I still watch farscape
i can watch FARSCAPE any time i want because i loved that show and have all of the episodes.
Any of these shows are better than getting your entertainment from tiktok.
Definitely

The So Weird theme song released long-lost memories. Literally rocked me
crazy right?
@@TheReviewStudios I loved that show but probably have not thought about it since 2002 when I was in 8th grade 😂
Watched almost all of these shows. Loved the first 2 seasons of So Weird.

I loved the beastmaster.
Thank you for mentioning it.
The lost world reminded me of Land of the lost.
No problem, yeah definitely strong Land of The Lost vibes
Always love your content! As someone who has a lot of random knowledge on the most random/obscure media, your vids are always enlightening!
Much appreciated! Its all lighthearted fun which we all need these days.

I remember So Weird although I didn't watch all of the episodes.
Holy crap! I must have watched So Weird a bunch back in the day. The second that theme song started, it all came crashing back. Great video as always!
Crazy how that works, right
@TheReviewStudios absolutely 💯
This was worth the watch. I remember everyone of them. Beastmaster was a faint nearly forgotten memory though 😂
These tend to stick in the back of your mind somewhere forever

Cleopatra 2525 was 2000 but so odd and good
I'll check it out thanks
I never heard of 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd. Now I'm sorry I missed it.
Shawn Levy also directed some of that So Weird show. I can see it in your clip haha 😅

Yeah The PPV version had nudity and strong language it was just that first episode though.
96 had The Adventures of Sinbad. Season 1 was great season 2 no one talks about
I've seen a few episodes of Farscape, I knew someone who was really into it, and it was quite good!

I remember Beastmaster. It was kind of random, but the last season had an interesting mystery arc that finished on a cliffhanger.
I'm literally drinking coffee from a Farscape mug while watching this, haha

Farscape is brilliant. 😀👍
Henry Winkler also produced the short series unexplained mysteries in 03. He must of had a thing for the paranormal.
It seems like it
Only one cast member had left by season 3 of So weird. Erik von detton left in season 2 but came back periodically during season 3.
And yes, 'So Weird' was ABAOLUTELY 'X-Files' for kids. And I loved it! =)

100 deeds for Eddie McDowell was great series that was cut short

Yeah, weird doesn't necessarily mean bad. Farscape was both weird and good.
I remember watching 100 Deeds of Eddie McDowd when I was in high school it's excellent and it should never been canceled in the first. 😀👍
