Trying to catch up with this campaign, but I think the main issue with Gorbad is that people were expecting a Greenskin rework and the changes they made (to tech tree and so on) were mostly bad changes and took power AWAY from the faction whereas every other rework has increased the power. Gorbad's tactics are fine i think and if he was isolated away from a "greenskin rework" people would feel differently about him - but Greenskins just don't feel good to play - very vanilla. From my point of view, they needed to work on the WAAAGH mechanic as a lot of legendary lords have traits that improve the WAAAGH unit rewards but it still takes 20 turns of the WAAAGH duration plus how many turns to activate a WAAAAGH to get them. And when campaigns are all but done by turn 70 that is a lot of "who cares" about both the talents and mechanics ONTOP of the fact that the WAAAGH armies cripple army movement - why is this still a thing? I find myself activating the WAAAGH and then immediately deleting the WAAGH army so it doesn't gimp campaign movement which is probably one of the most important stats on the map.
