This is not the 1968 convention. This is 1964

This is the infamous 1964 Republican National Convention At The Cow Palace In San Francisco.
Thank you so much for uploading this! The Goldwater delegates were booing & berating Governor Rockefeller, "We Want Barry!" but Nelson handled them like a champ; he continued to say & finish his whole 5 minute speech & he managed somehow to pull it all off with a smile & a magnanimous spirit. What a man!

The people booing are particularly chilling to me. It's as if he were on the RNC broadcast this very evening.

And some Republicans love being manipulated so much, they may as well be Democrats. Obviously, you're not a conservative and likely not even a Republican. Barry Goldwater was immensely popular among Republicans overall and especially to those patriots and constitutionalists that Nelson saw as a threat to the Rockefeller control of the party! And yes, globalists are quite radical and doggedly defensive when their power is threatened. He was not "magnanimous", as you say, he was spinning, lying and propagandizing with nearly ever word. He employed the well-used tactic of guilt by association - connecting to the "object" things and groups who already "have a bad smell", thereby smearing many good people in the process.
Do you even know who John Birch was and what he sacrificed to help us defeat the Japanese in WWII?

If this is was in 1964, then why does the year in the title say 1968?

You cut out the part where he mentions the importance of an honest conservatism. He didn’t just champion Republican liberalism.

Funny! He was actually talking about him and his family who were subverting the Republican Party and the "Rockefeller wing" is still referred to as that subverting force. Of course Nelson was the globalist in the GOP and he and his fellow money powers in the CFR - STILL control the liberal wing of the party and the CFR is largely responsible for the GOP becoming the party of RINOs and neocons that are constantly "compromising" our constitution to "get along" with the Democrats. Don't believe me? Nelson and the whole Rockefeller family are members of the CFR today, and the CFR HATES Donald Trump and he isn't even a conservative!!! But so is Senator Susan Collins (R-NH) and she, you will remember voted to impeach Trump!

I have a teeny little crush on Nelson Rockefeller. He was Governor during the 1964 New York World’s Fair, for goodness’ sake!

The last Republicans to prize decency over pandering to the lowest common deniminator.

lol And i guess you should also believe that Jimmy Carter was the last Democrat to put decency over Woke politics.
Unlike today's Democrats Jimmy Carter didn't support the homosexual marriage he didn't support transgenderism and he didn't support late term abortion which is publicly celebrated in today's Democratic party.
Someone like Carter would be considered an extremist in today's woke Democratic party.
