My Opinion of Kakashi has and always will be he is the Heart of the will of fire, a literal example of how we can move forward through the hardest parts of our lives. Forgive but never forget, you must always be willing to look back at yourself and see the person you were,before being able to accept who you are now, or to change yourself for the better. Best Sensei!!!

Apathy this is what makes Itachi look silly to me. Oh yeah I wanted to discourage my brother from ever taking part in the ninja Society. And to facilitate that I killed his entire family in front of his face, use my eye magic to make him watch as I did it, and when he showed up 8 years later I made sure to remind him in brutal detail of why he hates me, and then I told him to put as much hatred in his heart as possible if he ever wanted to beat me. Because I love my brother.

As we've seen every evil character goes for something weird and forbidden, that's what gives them immense powers and often they have to kill inorder to gain that power. With a couple of forbidden tactics like immortality and something else to get past his chakra drain and he'd be a full on beast.

honestely this is why I was so glad that at the end Gai lived. Gai was the only person from kakashi's childhood that constantly supported him and survived, staying by his side no matter what. Having Gai die at the end would just be a repetetion of 'people kakashi love are doomed to die' and kakashi doesnt deserve any of that any longer. He can now finally live the rest of his days with his husband.... I mean, eternal rival

I swear, some scenes with him are the saddest in the series. When he told Sasuke, that all people he loved are dead (he also smiled when said that), when Obito died, when he tried to wash his hand from "blood" the next day after Rin's death
Not even "dead", he actually used the word "killed" in the dub. That choice of words hit me hard. They didn't just pass away, they were *taken* from Kakashi.

Let's see some of the worst "moments" of Kakashi's life from birth to the events of N.S. (because I was thinking about it yesterday) :
1- His mom died when he was either a baby or a toddler ;
2- His dad killed himself rending him an orphan ;
3- He fought a world war ;
4- His friend died saving his life ;
5- His other friend killed herself (second suicide in his life) using him for it and earning him the nickname "friend-killer" ;
5- His father figure and friend, Minato, died (Kakashi is 14 years old) ;
6- At 13 years old he joined Anbu, having not only to go through who knows how many difficult and emotionnaly draining missions, plus being in charge of killing traitors and desertors ;
7- During his time as an Anbu, one of the member of his team (Rho), Itachi, apparently betrayed Konoha after killing almost all of his clan ;
8- Later, the Sandaime, whom he was somewhat close to died ;
9- His ex-friend comes back and torture him ;
10- One of his student became a desertor, the other two leave him for other teachers/mentors ;
11- His friend (not the closest but pretty close, I'd say as close as Lee is to Naruto), Asuma, also died ;
12- He died
13- Finally, the friend he thought dead, who had a major influence on the person he became, on his values, came back as a vilain.
And through all that he's managed to stay a good, sane, and still somewhat positive, person. You go Kakashi.
Exactly, that's why I'm love him, everyone else with a sad backstory became a traitor or optimism in a forced and almost magic no logic way, he makes characters like sasuke look crybaby's and the one's like Naruto forced, man he so fucking wonderful ( sorry for my english)

good comment but number 10 isnt really valid in terms of affecting him. there are clips showing why he let them venture out to other tutors. jiraya told kakashi in a scene he would like to take over as narutos teachher on top of a building. its not like naruto said “hey kakashi sensei youre cool and all but id rather jiraya teach me from now on”. sakura im not so sure about i just think he relized lady tsunade was better suited to train her.

Anyway, loves in Naruto is pretty much BS. Both Ino and Sakura stated they love Sasuke even though they don't know shit about him. Same for Karin.
The only deep love in the series among the main protagonist that are portrayed in a believable manner are Gaara's siblings for Gaara, Hinata for Naruto, Kushina for Minato and Naruto for Iruka and Ero sennin. Oh and probably A and Killer Bee.

I bet you almost anything that jiraiya mentioned to Naruto the entirety of the novel including a proposed ending. But Naruto finds the story bland and boring, and kakashi won't bring himself to ask Naruto so, it's possible the ending is there, but the discovery won't happen.

I love the Kakashi: Shadow of the ANBU Blackops arc because you get to see his life before the series. You really see his PTSD and how detached he became. His friends tried to help but he always shut them out and they saw him become such a dark individual.
Naruto has taught us many things and it is a shame it is over. Kakashi was and still is my favourite character since the very beginning.
Iruka taught me... not to judge people by their reputations but by their personalities.
Haku taught me... that there is no good or evil when you're protecting the ones you love.
Neji taught me... that if you leave your pride behind you can change your destiny.
Rock Lee taught me... that hard work beats talent.
Kakashi taught me... >_< that teamwork and friendship stand above the rules.
Hinata taught me... that love is worth fighting for.
Sai taught me... that a life without feeling isn't worthwhile.
Sakura taught me... that weakness is a choice, not an excuse.
Gaara taught me... how painful loneliness can be and how love can change someone.
Nagato taught me... that revenge and hatred only lead to more revenge and hatred.
Asuma taught me... how important it is to take care of the next generation.
Shikamaru taught me... that sometimes you even have to do the things that bother you the most.
Might Gai taught me... that it doesn't matter what other people say about you.
Minato (4th Hokage) and kushina taught me... that parent's love beat all else.
Sarutobi taught me... that problems should be solved with kindness rather than with violence.

Dude didn't just have daddy issues, he had mommy issues as well. He was an orphan for christ sakes but with no one taking care of him but himself. He was basically his own guardian and it amazes me that he was mature enough to do so.

True. Naruto was an orphan too but he had the third hokage watching over him. Kakashi didn't really have a guardian type person watching over him.
Sarutobi is busy, he's the Hokage most times than not. 99% paperwork and 1% taking care of Naruto. That makes a difference but Kakashi was never criticized for something he didn't do. Think about it, Naruto was the Jinchuriki of the nine tails. Someone every villager hates. Scolds every day, sold rotten food, higher priced items, and can literally only resort to a ramen stand. Him not turning out like Gaara is impressive, what's even more impressive is keeping his personality. Quite admirable, don't forget that if the villagers are stupid enough to not recognize him as a savior, then they'll just recognize him as the fox that has destroyed the village and killed family members. They would attempt to torture naruto, physically harm him, and probably kill him.

Kakashi has always been a focal character in the series for me because he's been there for generations to witness the series. He's had time to assess his losses and been given opportunities for character growth. He remembers the past but still hold on tight to the future, when they announced him as the 6th I was incredibly happy. Great video btw =D

One of the most genuine characters in anime. He led his students to absolute greatness and never gave up on them or himself.

Wrong he was ready to give up on himself a number of times but Naruto helped him snap out of it.
Vil 9 not really Kakashi wasn’t a good teacher he helped them get started then ignored naruto and Sakura to help sasuke while trying to save him from his anger but still failed to keep him. After sasuke left he didn’t train naruto or Sakura and only helped naruto year later by showing him a method to perfect the rasangan.
This was the single greatest video on kakashi I've seen thank you for fueling my argument as kakashi being one of the best characters in naruto

You kinda forgot that Kakshi also lost his sensei Minato. Team 7 was pure resemblence of his team, with Naruto who was pure image of Obito and son of his late sensei, Sasuke, anarogant prodigy like himself and Sakura who had a crush on Sasuke and who was loved by Naruto, just like Rin loved Kakashi and Obito loved Rin.

michiel duyvejonck and it was also powerful because everyone knew about him for what happened, and a good portion of them were scared of him too. after these loses he became heartless and savage. The pain he went through made him heartless at that time of his life

Kakashi is now after last Ninja War has grown more powerful , coz he dont need to waste chakra using Sharingan , he developed his own technique -Purple Lightening ,which is as powerful as Raikiri but can be used without Sharingan and he still remember all the jutsus he copied using Sharingan , the only drawback is he cannot copy moves now.

What's crazy is that every character that has had a specifc moment in Naruto has had a tragic past. As crazy as it seems and fun to look the Naruto world is actually a very depressing world it's a really sad reality. The amount of wars, assassinations , rivalries, hatred, the lust world domination and power it's such a mirror image to our world here on earth. You can see also for the way he treats Sakura he kind of saw Rin on her. Though the series he would all the time give compliments and be way more gentle to her, and whenever she cried or was worried abt something he tried to calm her down and was angry at Sasuke for being rude to her. It can be crearly seen in the scenes before Naruto's and Sasuke's final fight. In wich he tries to explain Sasuke that everything she had done was because she loved him. And was for quite a long time talking abt it. And he seemed truly worried about her and her feelings, which he tried to explain to Sasuke after he knocked her down.

When I first watched, very quickly in the beginning I could somehow tell Kakashi was the guy that lived his troubles and mistakes and learned from them. Imho he’s a really well done character.

Meanwhile Orochimaru takes Sasuke, and tries to use him for his selfish purpouse, only to make Sasuke so powerful that that desire becomes impossible to achieve, and get killed by him in the end. After its ressurection Orochimaru gives up his purpouse and simply chose to live and watch over Sasuke and his fate.
We also have the dinamic between Naruto and Sasuke seen trough the relationship between First Hokage and Madara. The way shit got wrong between Obito and Kakashi, and the way in which Obito started to see himself in Naruto, understanding himself the fact that views are affected by enviorment.
There is simply so much deep meaning and so much substance in Kishimoto's writting, that is a real shame that so many anime fans today prefer to overlook it and treat it like garbage.

Tsunade did not love Orochimaru like you said it was that other guy with that dumb pendant, the writing for sasuke is just shit, how he wasn't immediately dispatched or imprisoned is just extremely lazy writing considering all the shit he pulled, he should be watched just like ol snake boy is, itachi gave up everything and kept him alive and ultimately he left the choice to Naruto, I think it is generally agreed that sakura is another worthless character so its fitting that sasuke still really does't want anything to do with her as something other then a side piece, they deserve each other. In essence sasuke was turned into a sociopath by all the shit he witnessed and felt, that doesn't excuse all
the shit he did, and by the canon you already know that bad shinobi get put down sometimes just cause they might have a minor secret, so it doesn't fly that sasuke gets away with all the crap he pulled. It’s a beautifully made fight in the anime. Not my favorite but I can see why a lot of people love it.
I’ve been looking for a video like this for forever! I love Kakashi for all the reasons you listed and more, and I love hearing others talk about him because he really is such a fantastic character. I also think it’s worth noting how very much the previous generation failed him in dealing with his depression, and how he seems to be doing his best to change the unhealthy ninja mindset in his own students. Furthermore, it was them that pulled him from that haze of darkness he’d been sinking into deeper and deeper with every death he saw. They gave him hope that maybe, this time, they really could end up happy. And then he felt he failed them, too. I agree that Obito gives Kakashi good closure, if a bit rushed, and that his students finally understood the lesson he gave them that very first survival exercise, but I still feel it’s unfulfilled in terms of anyone telling him he did good. Gai, and maybe Tsunade, of course probably would, but I feel like his students never really express to him whether they think he was a good teacher, or if they care for him. I’m happy for him in that he was finally able to move forward from the past and find happiness along with Gai, but it does make me a little sad that his students don’t seem to appreciate him as much as he appreciates them.

Kakashi is by far my best and favorite character in Naruto. His one on one fight with Obito was thrilling as well as emotional.

You know, I always found your incredibly loud and excitable attitude entertaining and comical to listen to when I'm upset and such, but getting to experience videos where you act more seriously is always enjoyable. It really shows that you do honestly love and adore anime and the characters in them and understand the philosophical intentions behind characters when there is some to be found. Notice how at the end of Naruto he has lost all of those trademarks. He parted ways with his guilt and harsh past. He no longer has the Sharingan, Mangekyou sharingan and the chidori. He is finally released in some ways.
An interesting concept to explore in Boruto would be what they are currently doing in MHA. All Might is useless now and is now facing a reality where he's not needed. I'd like to see how Kishimoto handles how the older ninjas deal with the fact that they have to make space for the younger generations. I wish they had explored more of that towards shippuden's ending but instead we got some boring mini arcs.
I totally get what you mean but I would not expect something like that from boruto. Eveybody has seen the downfall Naruto has had if you compare the first part and Shippuden. Forget about the older ninjas, the young ninjas had to make space for Naruto,Sasuke and the villians in shippuden and many great characters in part one like Neji,Gaara,Lee ect barely had screentime and was "fodder" to the villians. Boruto is just continuing the down spiral and it is sad but shippuden and Boruto is not the same Naruto which was about tactics,Strenght,Frendship,mystery and plot as we grew up with. My hope vanished years ago.

In Japan it's totally normal to just read smut openly in public settings. (For men anyways, if women are caught doing it, strangers are going to come up to you thinking you're into kinky stuff.) It's shown in flashbacks that when he was young he'd read in his spare time books about war and really heavy material to learn but as he went through development his taste in reading changed. He didn't read for the purposes of studying anymore, he just wanted to be entertained and read something that he doesn't have to put a ton of thought into. It's like you've been streaming nothing but Documentaries and art house movies all your life and then discovering how relaxing it is to just watch a turn your brain off screwball comedy. It's a guilty pleasure he openly enjoys to the point where he doesn't care what people think when they see him read it. Turns out life doesn't always NEED to be taken seriously every second of the day.
