It was very disheartening when I had a BSc and an MSc and I couldn’t get a job. I was invited for many interviews but like you said there was often 10-15 people also applying and it boils down to interview technique and interview preparation. I would recommend that you read your application, read your CV, read the job description (learn almost off by heart) and prepare for the classic interview questions: 1. Tell us about yourself 2. What are your ambitions/dreams? 3. What are your strengths? 4. What are your weaknesses? 5. Why should we hire you? 6. Why do you want to work here? 7. Do you have any questions for us? The last one is really important always always always make sure you prepare 4-5 questions at least! And DON’T ask questions which have already been answered already in the job description/ person specification or anywhere else on the application. Like barbs said be patient, believe in yourself and be persistent.
I needed this video! I am currently applying for jobs after completing a MSc and only started at the beginning of Jan but already feel so disheartened! Feel like this video came at just the right time to motivate me to stay positive. Thanks! x
I’d love to see a CV and cover letter video! I’m currently looking for my first job in accounting and I’m so nervous since I don’t really have experience 😖
I'm a new grad/newly licensed pharmacist so I really appreciated this video! I'm having a hard time finding a position in the states without any experience and a flooded market. I would love a CV/cover letter video! Also love the idea of a video on makeup for work.
You've inspired me throughout my college career! (I've been watching you since high school) I will be graduating in May with a degree in Environmental Engineering!! I remember you're video after you passed your major exams where you were so proud of yourself and said if I could do it anyone could do it! Much love! xx
I’d love to see a workwear styling video but with flat shoes, not heels, since you mentioned you didn’t wear heels to this particular interview! Or even just a workwear appropriate flat shoe haul/lookbook. I work in ecommerce and found my job through Facebook!
I am a Biomed graduate studying my second degree MPharm. This is such an important video it’s very helpful, I will definitely take this into consideration when applying for jobs. Love youuuuuuu😘
I've just graduated uni (graphic design and marketing) so this definitely came at the perfect time! Really appreciate your straightforward tips and examples ❤️
This is so helpful I’m a physiotherapist and I’m looking for another job whilst considering leaving my job before I find one. So this is really helpful I like these lifestyle videos!
Hi Barbra, hope you find the job you’re looking for. Fingers crossed for the interview you had recently. I am a pharmacist and I’ve become an independent prescriber recently! I’m in between jobs at the moment and like you I’m looking for a new job to incorporate my new qualification.
Thank you so much for doing that video! I'm currently at uni and would like to get a job at the end of this semester so I will definitely go back to that video when I'm preparing for interviews.
Commenting for the first time just for you! I teach English in language schools & I also always go for interviews to compare schools & potentially move up :)

I'm a primary teacher :) - great video, especially for those just starting off in their careers. Would be really great to see how you updated your CV video! x
This was extremely helpful and I don't even work in pharmacy! I'm currently working in mortgages in a call centre but I'm doing a psychology degree so I can eventually get into clinical psychology!
This was SO helpful, I have a full time job that I love but If I ever decide to look into another job I'll definitely refer back to this video. I'm a claims handler for a big insurance company! 🙂 x
Hi Barbara can you do a look book for job interviews and just looking smart. I’d love to see how you style your clothes, and you’re recommendations for pieces. Thank you x

Thank you so much for this video it’s so helpful, we need the CV video too👌🏾. I just graduated university my major is computer science and I’m applying for jobs, and some time i feel depressed to see people around me getting jobs but I still can’t find a job that fits me. How you deal with that feeling?
the link for your shirt does not work properly - it only takes me to the topshop website but not this shirt in particular and I kinda need it in my life...
I studied law and just did the bar exam and am currently looking for a job but it‘s more difficult than what I thought to find something... I feel like as soon as someone has a little experience they always go for that person instead which is kinda frustrating but oh well that‘s kinda the normal struggle I guess when it comes to starting a career so as you said I‘m patient;))
I think it will be better if you write your tips in each point while you're explaining in the video. That will be very helpful in my opinion. Thx for sharing though :) Love you and your channel :)
I had to pause the video I was in so much shock... 3 months??? You are only obligated to give 2 weeks in the US. I can't believe you have to work at a place you are unhappy with for 3 whole months... that is just crazy to me!
I’m wondering if you or anyone else knows weather in the pharmacy sector, does the uni you went to affect getting employed? Like if it’s a lower ranked uni than others.
Do a look book for a job interview
do a CV (+ cover letter) video please!
Yes please!!
