What was your first Airsoft Replica and when did you get it?
CYMA M4, just over a year ago
TM G36c. Some time around 2008/2009. Kept it until I gave up airsoft. Now I'm back and I miss it.
PTS Syndicate Centurion Arms CM4 C4-10 in December 2019. Realism all the way 😁 Peace Out 😎✌
Mine was a JG G36c in about 2010. Absolute bombproof internals but the motor couldn't pull a girl in a brothel.
TM G3A4 in 1996, bought at the same time as a TM MP5 PDW in Canada. Only bought the G3A4 because I was unable to get a G3A3.
JG M4 S-system bought around 13 years ago now, no longer own it, however it is still being used regularly by the guy who bought it from me
My first AEG was ACADEMY L85A1 back in 1992.
Second AEG was Marui AK47 back in 1996.
1994~1996 I used K2 while serving in the Korean Army
ASG Steyr Aug A1 in 2019!
Same but in 2013.
@@thegael1996 👍🔥
I started with a clear-bodied G&G pneumatic blowback M4. It was awful but I loved it. My first RIF was an Army Armament L85 that chewed its piston in half a mag. Back in 2009/2010.
A friend of mine still runs an SRC Gen 2 G36C from the same year with stock internals - I just gave it a quick service and reshim. Still turns over flawlessly.
I love hearing all about these first purchases.
@@AnvilAirsoftTVReally does show how far things have come when a TM VSR was the go-to 10 years ago but we now have Steyr Scouts and Tac-41s skirmishable out of the box.
I wonder what the future holds. Will Cyma be making SIG licensed GBLS DAS clones for £200 in 10 years!? (Probably not but a man can dream)
Started with a cyma AK in like 2020 but decided to pull the trigger on an LCT TXS-74UN and I've been loving it
That got me thinking, I started around 2006! 😱 16 years ago!
My 1st RIF was a TM MP5 with the sliding stock. Fantastic bit of kit was still working flawlessly when I sold it on almost 10 years later. Kinda wish I'd kept it now.
I wish I hadn’t sold my first gun. A TM G36C
Nice video guys! Thank you. I'm a new player only, started last year (2021) but I now have an E & L AK74M from their Essentials range, I love it and it gets a few comments at sites too. Only thing i'd change on mine is the wood as they went with cheaper wood to keep the Essentials price down, you probably know all that anyway..... Thanks again guys.
Welcome aboard!
the very first one that i bought brand new was the lct AS VAL. the dust cover is a little higher compared to the real one, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it looks amazing!
i had to sand down the steel magazine catch though, as it was literally shredding up the plastic magazines.
my first one was cybergun ak47 tactical side folder and still have it. its 7 or 8 years old now and works.
Good going.
KS P90, and the JG G36C around 2010. Both still work after compression upgrades
Mine was a TM AUG A2 with a behemoth of a silencer, bought used in 2005 and tuned it with a guarder m120 kit and a big ol battery taped to the stock, goddamn that thing vomited bbs!
Classic Army AR15. Must have been sometime around 2001.
Early adopter :)
My first aeg was classic army sport line m16 I got that 16 years ago when I started playing airsoft.
Cyma Ak47 tactical, back in 2008. I loved that toy
I had one of those TMs back in 2003, gave it to my cousin, wish I still had it along with my metal bodied Classic Army M4
First was a secondhand Classic Army M4 with M203 attached for that Scarface/Dutch from Predator look. Heavy af and shot terribly but enough to get me hooked a little over four years ago.
Took my lad with me for the first time last week and kitted him out with...an AKS-74U which he was deadly with. Great vid (is Gadge morphing into Stevie Ray Vaughan?) and always nice seeing traditional, realistic gats being discussed 👏
Traditional, realistic looking gats is our thing! :)
I really love all Airsoft AK replicas.
My first actual airsoft gun is probably 12 years old now. It was an asg/classic army M15A4 sportline with the full stock. I bought it for plinking in the back yard. We used to have a shop that supported CA but they don't exist anymore 😢 So i'm trying to keep it well maintained and around as memories. I've skirmed it a couple of times but my first actual skirmish rifle was a 2nd hand g&g wild hog 9". Keep in mind i've only started playing airsoft about 2 years ago now. 😅
Wow what a blast from the past to see you two still about and still airsofting. I've been out of the game for a number of years, but I used to play with both of you in about 2003-2007 at the original F&O run by Gucci and Mitch and Phoenix back in the day, some Stirling games as well. I've probably been shot by that AK haha.
Hey. Good to hear from you !
My first AEG was a Classic Army M15A2 Tactical Carbine (solid stock M4) back in 2005 so I could fit a large battery in the stock and an A2 "Because I'll never need to mount an optic" It's currently set up as a BHD inspired Delta carbine and I took it to a game on the weekend.
I had an M15 Tactical Carbine for a while!
My first aeg I bought was about 20 yrs ago was a TM p90 which I've still got today
as a newer airsofter its so interesting to see the history of this sport
My first was a KSC Mac 11 around 2005/6, loved it!
the first gun that i actually bought my myself is a cyma aks 74, and i started playing in april of 2022
Mine was a G&P enforcer about 14 years ago!!
Picked up a G&G TR15 Raider-L as my first RIF and it's been a great workhorse for years. Replaced bucking's, barrel, hop-up and motor and it's a blast. I am very keen to pick up an LCT soon to balance out my M4 and M16 :D
My first was a Both Elephant civilian AUG, truly terrible, but it showed me how nice the ergonomics of the aug are
Scorpion EVO, Cyma P90, BOLT AKM with BRSS recoil and rhop.. (last one yesterday, first one 4y ago)
Solid choices.
KSC Colt Commander - 1991 (spring) followed by Tokyo Marui MPL (spring) 1992 - both still working fine and in original condition.
I remember looking at those early 2000s
@@AnvilAirsoftTV - still with original box, instructions, sling etc - along with a whole bunch of spring powered airsoft replicas from the early to mid-1990's, most still working today! Potential for a video - to show how far airsoft has come? ..... and how much better things look in 2022. Keep up the good work.
@@benedictpeet4755 I do love the history of airsoft. The problem is everything is in Japanese! But ot os really fascinating!
the old days! first had a classic army mp5. looked so cool, but liked to release the mags while running.
Oh no!
Very nostalgic video for me this one my first aeg was the beta spetsnaz got from Phoenix airsoft and that was around 17 years ago
We may well have been around at the same time.
My first AEG was a Marui M733 back in 2007
Back when I were a lad we didn't have 63 different AK models from all over the world from LCT, and none of these LiPo or MOSFET whatnots.
I was an odd one out for getting a Marui G36C back in 2005 when H&K guns were still new and different... And I had a 4600mAh NiMH battery slab that you could chock your dad's Ford Cortina with if the brakes failed.
Bygone days. 🤔🧐
Did you also tape yours to the body of the gun? I bought the biggest NiMH battery for my gun back in the day and just slabbed it on! 🤣
@@huldenjonathan I had mine in a pouch on the sling with extended wires down to the gun, or fitted to my rig and wired to the gun to prevent it flopping around.
Ok boomer
:)
My first was a TM G36C. Later changed to have a battery sling :)
My first was a Classic Army MP5 with the solid stock and tacligh foregrip bought that in 2010. I still have it tho it’s none working. Project for this coming winter, only reason why I’ve kept it is because it has the SEF lower.
I do like a SEF lower.
Mine was an OD cyma m14 about 9 years ago accompanied by the WE baby hicapa
Windhand ftw.
TM Famas sv was my first aeg. I bought it around 2001 from airsoft dynamics.
Am best gnu
First one I got was a cybergun licensed dpms panther arms m4a1 cqbr... What a mouth full.
Body was a tank... I suspect it was a CYMA manufacture. Nearly got the Thompson but the Thompson stock was just an inch too long for me.
2007~.
Unless you mean... First first which is one of those "mini" AA powered mp5.
Mini mp5 was 2003~2004.
30~ replica later and I've finally got my first TM haha.
Classic Army scar was my 1st. bloody hated the thing and never found a battery that would fit in the stock. gearbox would always lock up too. got rid and got an sa58
Battery storage has got so much easier!
Love them, have real swords and lct brilliant aegs, I use to shop at airsoft dynamics if anyone remembers them lol 😆
Yeah I remember the ads. I must have bought something from them at some point.
@@AnvilAirsoftTV is to buy all sorts from them first one a classic army m4a1, before all that was all aircocking m4s and aks from modelzone, those were the days 😀
First Brand new AEG was also from Airsoft Dynamics a TM M4a1 with the plastic body and wobbly front end, must have been around 2001/2002.
My favourite was a 2nd hand TM Ak47 paid £130 for it then installed a 1j spring and a Systema Barrel ,it shot 310fps day in day out ,sold it 10 years later for £135!
Those early TM ARs were so wobbly. They used some in Bravo 2 zero. You can tell as they have paracord from the carry handle to the front sight so the front end didn’t droop!
@@AnvilAirsoftTV I know on a behind the scenes video, the cast were trained by South Africans using airsoft. But the actual tv drama?
G&G M14 in 2013. The gun was far too big and heavy for me so I traded with a guy at my local site for his classic army m4. Turns out his M4 was too hot for the site and I never saw him again after that. Lesson learned 😅.
Yeah heard a few stories like that unfortunately
Can you do a American or British Korean War airsoft loudout?
I’ll talk to Gadge about it.
Good old T.M.I had a tm ak47s with the underfolder stock,That would eventually break off.
Wobble wobble
Double eagle ak, a year ago. Getting an lct built by Norwest rn, $900+
Ufff... my first aeg was an JG G36c; a another copy of an TM
:)
My first was a TM G36C around 2001
@@AnvilAirsoftTV Last year I was servicing an TM G36; at least 15 years old and in great condition
Good video, I often have to remind people that Tokyo Marui invented pretty much every AEG gearbox that every other manufacturer now clones. They also invented hop up and the high capacity magazine.
My first AEG was a Dboys M4 CASV that I bought around 2006/2007. It didn't even serve me for one game, it broke straight away. I then replaced it with a plastic bodied Marui M4A1 RIS, which I broke a few times, but I recently sold it and it was running sweet and reliably once I learned how to tech properly.
My first was a TM G36C around 2001. I’d quite like another at some point!
ASG/JG AUG A1 in 2012/2013.
One thing I found with my E&L AKM was that the varnish on the laminated furniture is really thin and flakes right off, which looks cool, but it looks out of place compared to the real stuff to me!
That’s a shame.
My E&L has managed to pull the rear sling loop out of the wood stock
@@Dan-Dan46 a good tip for this is to use wood glue and match sticks to refill the old screw holes, cut them flush and you should then be able to screw the loop back into position through the new wood. If you've lost the loop and screws (and you're in the UK) you can try somewhere like Cold War Collectables for suitable parts 😊
@@AnvilAirsoftTV it's nice that it shows the wear on it, although I usually have East German furniture on anyway. Hopefully I can get some real laminate stuff in the future! Other than that and it cutting out on rainy days, it's been an incredibly solid gun for the past 6 years I've had it!
Funny you should mention the buttplate... I got given my friends' old Marui AK47 and that's missing it too - I rebuilt it from a bunch of external parts and the remains of a Beta Spetsnaz. I still need to find the buttplate!
There must be loads buried on old sites!
@@AnvilAirsoftTV absolutely! I'm looking forward to the day someone digs up my old Browning High Power... the site that vanished on is scheduled to become a nature walk on the edge of a new housing development!
Hi Guys my first gun was a two tone as i couldn't get along with the rental AK so i brought a G&G SRXL about 7yrs ago which i still have. And Tom whats with the mask, unless your going to build a hpa high cappa 😆😆😆😆
HPA has been influencing me… I use it for filming in game and for my partner and her daughter when they play.
Tom i like my MTW and when you put a silencer on the thing its like whispering death its that quiet.
Ares M4A1 - 2009
Nice Movie. I am also into Airsoft since 2000 i am grewn up with Marui`s and men i love em ! I collect them since than. And i dont care about all that new Stuff. Hobbie changed in germany, massiv. Back in the Days we had fun with 0.8J - 1.0J today in germany everyone wants 1.5+ Jouls with 0.3g BBs . I am Oldschool ! 0,8J with 0.23 - 0.25BBs dont care about the new stuff. I really love that old Stuff. Also my AK47s . Back in the Days Classic Army was a paine in the ass ... totally air leaking now power. Than we had ICS and G&P later ... thats it until China rises with the besser Airsoftguns
As much shit as I’ve talked about it in the past, It seems no end of folks around here cut their teeth at Phoenix down Pleasley Vale.
Very influential site. Various people moved on and opened their own in the early 2000s.
Cyma m4 in 2015
Solid
@@AnvilAirsoftTV sadly this was before cyma transferred the reliability magic from their AKs to their m4s. Utter waste of money. Went and got an action army m4 after that which was slightly better.
Mr. Inbetween does airsoft reviews!?
My beard is much better 😂
