You can never have too many AKs! I have a few AKs myself. I just tarted up my CYMA 105 with some of those cloned Zenitco parts, a built gearbox with a GATE MERF 3.2, a speed trigger and a S-Hopped tight bore barrel. It's a fun gun to play with. I also have a AKS74u that is slightly built internally, but its external are what's really fun. I built it up into my Post Apocalyptical rifle. its all messed up, rusty and beat as well as burnt. The gun is a really old CYMA. Probably on the order of almost ten years old. It's so fun. Everyone loves seeing it out.
5 of my 7 have recently come back from Luke, that AKS74U being one of em, and it sorely needed it. Solid enough internally but the performance was lacking, not one of their better offerings out of the box. I got him to rewire my AKM to under the top cover, same amount of room there as all the others, makes life a bit easier
You can just run the wires up to the top with the LCT AKM anyway with a bit of care. I quite like having the big battery storage. We’ll see what the AKSU does. This is the new revised model and Internally they look pretty good. Like most UK stock guns it’ll probably benefit from a softer hop rubber. A very common theme as we are such a small market.
Like the AKM in particular. The battery storage in the stock is ace. Can fit a 3800 mah lipo and not worry about running out. Also means you can pick up lipos with ease. Stick type configuration, you're pretty much stuck with airsoft offerings.
@@AnvilAirsoftTV Good point, would shine at a milsim event. The other benefit is you can fit a LCT dummy bolt kit if you are so inclined. On a personal note the only related lipo mishap I had at a site, was when the dust cover on an AKMS cut a battery and caused some vicious looking smoke to vent.
what is it with people and collecting many variants of the same base gun??? I just don't get it :P (stares at the 5 sa80s behind me) On a serious note, we should do a lct vs e&l comparison at some point! Even if it's just an external comparison
I’m going to borrow Gadge’s E&L at some point and do an external comparison between my LCT and the CYMA AKS-74U. There are some clear differences. If we can do it with you depending on the Beer thing all the better. PS. ARs next. That gets really silly...
You get infatuated with a weapon system and the inventor and just end up wanting to collect them all because it’s cool to see the changes and improvements that were made throughout a platforms history. Sometimes you even get the same weapon from a different country that ends up looking slightly different like an East German Makarov and Chinese Makarov look slightly different. Even buying the same variant of the same gun becomes a rescue ring theme, but it’s like money in the bank because prices rarely if ever go down on certain weapons and usually go up.
Nice to see you with the AK's again Tom, I was getting a bit concerned you'd drifted too far from you Opfor rots 😉. My daughter is currently running a cyma ak74u and loves it while I switch between a arcturus 105 (alpha build) and a lckms 74 like yours both of which are great guns. Have a merry Christmas and hopefully a productive 2021.
@@AnvilAirsoftTV I should get one soon. It’s ordered and BOLT airsoft only makes recoil replicas. The slightly older BOLT brss version seems to stay in one piece. They are all built from the ground up to handle the (states: hardest EBB) recoil from factory. For some fun video google BOLT brss aku, seems very solid also after using it

Do you have any plans to add a GHK to your collection? I have purchased my first GHK AK-105 with devil hunter modded CO2 mags and I can’t even look at my AEGS now... 🤣
@@AnvilAirsoftTV Yes it is an investment for sure but the added functionality of the RIF and the drills you need to learn to ensure a quick AK reload just add new levels to airsoft. I would highly recommend Devil Hunter modded CO2 mags as it prevents any issues with gas due to the weather in UK. Core-Airsoft Italy is your best bet for them!
I have one and it's a ghk, but as I've got 2 rifles and the other is a leaver action I'm maybe not typically of most airsoftsers. I just don't see the need to own more then my akm

I’ve got a dummy bolt kit from the recoil kit that I took out. Might well cut the recoil tang off and use it as a dummy bolt. Good idea.

I do but it may have to wait for a while unless I sell a few thing off. As with most GBBRs it’s partly having to buy the mags.

I’ve had no problems with my AR mags running Green gas. No plans to change them over. Long as I can get 30 BBs out that’s fine with me.
