She claims the smell of bleach and chemicals irritate her and that might be true, but soap, cleaning vinegar, lemon, baking soda and hot water are all good alternatives to off-the-shelf bleach and ammonia. She also claimed that she "just gives it a wipe." Nothing in the kitchen suggests she was wiping up anything at all. Lazy.
Kristy & Kay were an amazing pairing. There was no judgement on either side and they truly helped each other realise their ways of coping with grief were not healthy. I hope they stayed in touch.
The stay at home mum kinda infuriated me. I work 50 hours a week as a teacher. My house isn’t a show home but it’s cleaned every Saturday from top to bottom, clean the kitchen as I go. Job done!
Yes I was a cleaner but there to take her to and from school house has to be clean it’s worse when a teen clothes everywhere! Can’t decide so it goes on floor and I’d think it needs washing soon got her to put back in wardrobe bed bribary 😂 joys of motherhood

He is so jugdemental and arrogant. Typically for one with no children and who never will have any. Everyone knows why his now husband didn't want to be seen.
The woman who had the two kids and an absolutely disgusting house had no right to have a go at James like that. She called for HIS help to clean HER OWN house, and as soon as he said the plain truth and risks she had a go at him for her own faults. She has a point that he doesn't know what it's like to have children, but was bang out of order when she said he needed counselling. Bang out of order. On the other hand, James was a little harsh on how he talked to her, but he shouldn't be scolded or told he needs counselling for her mistakes. I feel so sad for Kay and her hoarding situation, and I hope that she's healing or in the process of it as those situations and things that have happened to her are awful. I hope she takes time to heal and to do so in a healthy way.
My mum has 7 children. Even when she had 6 living at home at the same time, 5 with special needs or bad health conditions such as M.E. and epilepsy, the house was immaculate. This mum is the epitome of LAZY and acts like having a 2 year old at home all day means she can't do anything. Having children is not a debilitating disability love!!

I am supremely confident that in a months time, things will be back to normal in terms of dirt and living like a pig. It's one thing to be selfish and lazy that it affects oneself, but she's exposing those kids to all sorts of hazardous material. The pig in my uncles farm live cleaner than she does. As for the husband, what about getting off your ass and doing something about that FILTH??? There are any number of people with kids who DO NOT live in a pigsty. Shameful. She should be hiding under a rock.
She is a stay at home mom… surely she can be more active? The man is active by working outside… should he come home to a dirty house and then be expected to do it all??? I am sure he would help if she can appreciate the essence of cleaning… she does not even care.
Why is there no mention of the husband doing his share to help clean the house. Just because he works outsude the home there are plenty of hours to wipe sown a stove, vacuum, pull out a couch and organize etc. Yes SAHM should do more but he can lead the effort since she is obviously unmotivated.

I have a full time job, I drive 2 hours to and from work plus time spend looking for parking in NYC. I cook everyday, my house is clean, there are no excuses to have a dirty home, it was the same when my children were little
Jodi trying to shift her embarrassment to the person helping her to cleaning up her filth is just laughable. She’s so lazy should be ashamed for blaming her young kids.
I'm a sahm and my house isn't always spotless but THAT? There's no excuse to have your children live like that. What pissed me off is when she said his mood rubbed off on her. Girl what? You've just seen how normal people would react to that filth. The sofa is heavy? Ask your husband to move it every now and then so you can clean behind it. Instead of finding excuses for everything just do it.
Jodi!! Clean your house. His comment about mice and rats was a truth - you could have had rodents behind the couch. There were slices of bread back there. You needed help and he helped you. Honestly was nasty to try and blame-shift your shame onto James for what? Being clean?!!
This show is the best ever! I lived with OCD cleaners and hoarders when I was a child. My parents hoarded. Some aunts and uncles were OCD cleaners . I always lived with the shame of hoarding, and I don't want to live like that. I keep a laundry basket in a supply closet. I fill it full of donations. Then I take it to a thrift store to donate it. Because I have ADD a cleaning schedule doesn't work. So if I see something that needs deep cleaning I do it. I regularly clean the floors and wash dishes. I hate dusty surfaces so I will clean that. But I can do better. Thanks for this show! I think the people on it are adorable 😍. And it inspired me to clean more despite my arthritis. ❤
People are not allowed to come in my house with their shoes, it s disgusting. They have to wash their hands when coming. And before touching my cats. I m not perfect at all, aging, but I often say to men/friends to bring pants to sit on my couch, it s more clean and relax. But now I need someone to help me because of severe arthritis. I like this show.
32:34 No she’s wrong for that. She’s projecting, she needs counseling seriously. He probably needs counseling for his OCD, but she’s just being really rude to the man who literally came here to clean her house, and was being so professional and nice despite the clutter and mess. I mean he obviously knew what he was getting into.
Ah, the classic excuse of ‘having kids’ I have 2 kids and I work and my house is still clean and tidy. She’s lazy, pure and simple. You don’t have to live in a show home, but if you keep on top of the cleaning it isn’t hard to keep a house tidy
Well, there are millions of mother who can still clean and take care of their children. Her being a mother is an excuse for her not to maintain cleanliness in their house, disgusting.
Excalty, it will not hurt if she at cleaned every now and then. Noone is perfect but she is frankly blaming her CHILDREN! None is a perfect mother or father but to turn around and use your children as an excuse am sorry but what type of mother does that?. My friend has triplets who are now 6years old and a daughter who is nearly 11years old. Not even once when I've been at her house and her house is big have I ever seen it untidy and she she is a full time worker and her husband. They have a garden and garge The garden is always ok it's not messy, and garge it neat. No dust or anything like that... no dirt in the garge. I work at differet nurseries as a bank nursery assistant now adays since after covid, I have worked with children most of my life over 10 years and EVERY nursery teaches & encourages children to put things away and in boxes. Wash there hands, give plates and cups to a teacher or put it in a basin and so on. If this is done in schools, nurseries and so on there is no excuse for her not to teach her children. Ofcourse staff have to do their part too and children yes don't always like to tidy but you don't stop encouraging them as a teacher or assistant or a parent. Am not being mean at the end of the day she asked for help she should be at least a little grateful towards this man what was she expecting?? Sympathy from him? Cleaning, washing, tidying is being part of parenthood. Part of being a nursery assistant, part of life whoever you are or whatever you do. Her children are watching her and learning from her she is awful.
I don't know why jody is laughing at how dirty her house is, she's on national TV and all over the internet showing how lazy and selfish she is towards her family that she says is so important. 😂😂😂
I don't know how my parents did it. They had SIX kids, ran a takeaway AND managed to keep the house AND business clean and tidy enough to pass EVERY SINGLE health inspection. They worked hard (6 days a week from morning till 2am) & sacrificed everything to put us ALL through private school AND kept us all fed, clean, clothed. Not only that, but they were immigrants who lived through the second world war, surviving extreme poverty and didn't even have any secondary school education qualifications and only spoke broken English. So tell me, what's that woman's excuse?
I don't think her house is soo bad. A good couple of hours should fix it up. Literally how much time does it take to sort the stuff under the cushions, dusting and mopping, etc. I honestly think her house is better than many houses I have seen. Maybe there is an underlining issues as to why she doesn't want to clean something that takes so little time.
I don’t understand how these people, even the compulsive cleaners, wear their outside shoes inside on the carpet and floors. Goodness knows what they’ve stepped in then track filth and germs inside. If they go barefoot, it goes in their beds at night. Gross🤢🤮
And look at cleaners when they touch their faces with gloves and still talks how horrible it is. real ocd person would never do that, probably just actors
I had three children, worked full time and my home was always cleaned. What an excuse, having children doesn't mean you don't take time to at least do a little of cleaning around the home.
She’s lazy and keeps making excuses and being a mother isn’t an excuse to allow your home to get that dirty, even mothers have some time to do a little at a time. If the mess bothers him which he says it does then he would clean it but him not doing it either shows it doesn’t actually bother him because if it did then he wouldn’t be able to relax until it’s done.
What a lovely Indian family. Her place looks a little too empty now. She needs a few more things to make it more homey. The cemetery looks so much nicer. I cannot believe how mean Jody was to James. The whole time they cleaned there was no two year-old or four-year-old there. And she cried because she did not want to clean up behind that sofa. That’s her mess. James was so sweet to her what she said about him. He’s a good guy. He had no judgments towards her, but she did to him, and that was quite unfair. And I never heard her thank him. I get a lot out of watching these. Sometimes they make me laugh, and sometimes they make me look inside myself about my habits. James, you just keep on being James. the world loves you for being James.
"We have two small children." My mom has 9 kids and yes our house is never spotless, but our house has never been this messy and we were all homeschooled.
I’m sorry but Iam a mom of two I go to work and still do houshouldchores I don’t understand it she puts everything on the kids excuses for everything 🙄
THE MOM in this this episode is soooo LAZY! She keeps blaming having kids, but she is so lazy! My mom had four kids and always cleaned and made us home cooked fresh meals three times a day AND doing this by also WORKING!!!!! Unbelievable!
Sometimes I think that these people are being a little harsh but then I hear this mom talk about how she’s too busy with 2 kids even though one is at school and her saying it’s a full time job to raise them. Girl you’re not even doing the full time job if you’re not cleaning up after the kids at least. Being too busy as a parent is an excuse but it’s only an excuse to an extent. You still have to be trying to take care of them and the home
Why doesn’t her husband lift a damn finger if it bothers him so much…. “I like order.” Gee, if only there was some way to achieve it? It doesn’t seem to bother her so he could step up or pay for it. Clearly he wants her to serve the house…but then he can’t complain for not lifting a finger since she is the only one who eventually cleans. (He also clearly hates her)
i'm messy but not the type of messy that people are on here. how is it even possible to live in that filth?? Also the lady making her kids an excuse for a dirty house, what about the other lady who has an immaculate house with two teenage boys??
No excuses lady!your partner is obviously embarrassed. She blames everything from stuff blowing in the front door, the kids, black tiles, chemicals and the stove is too hot to clean…PLEASE!! You’re just plain lazy woman! I had 2 kids of my own and 3 of my partners and a full time job and my house was always clean and tidy.
My qualm is the fancy engineer man, who apparently has a difficult time acclimating to the changing cleanliness/tidyness of his surroundings. Does he not have to do any work himself to accomodate his want for a nicer home? My guy comes home to a cooked meal and kids that have been cared for all day, and he can't even be bothered to clean up after his wife made dinner?? I'm genuinely confused as to how this is *sharing* the workload of having house & kids.
Sharing the workload is he leaves the house to go earn money for the family, her job sense she stays home is care for the house and children, what else is she doing! It would not be equal if he had to do it all, really!
i wonder about the indian lady and her family. they are so great and open to ideas, kind and funny and sweet. You almost never ever see that in these shows with the americas and brits. i wonder if it says anything about peoples ways......
How lazy and what pathetic excuses she's coming out with to get out of cleaning up, she should be ashamed of herself letting her kids live in so much filth especially when she makes out that her kids are so important 😂😂 obviously there not that important.
The first one, Jody, asked for help and allowed the public into her home. That must have been very difficult for her to do. And then, she's partnered with James, who is very rude to her.
Yes she asked for help. But then she makes excuses. She has 1 toddler, the older child is at school. It's simple, toddler has 1 hour 'quiet time' after lunch, with their fave cartoon or film: & you clean!
For all you people who have a hard time with the chemicals in oven cleaner on the stove top use ammonia cleaner plus dish soap and soak for a long while. Clean up with a scrubber and hot water. It will remove everything. 😊
i love cleaning ,but years of it will wreck your joints ,when you get arthritis then you have to learn to leave things that you could clean with ease ,for someone to help you especially hard to reach jobs x it sucks but that's old age x
Her partner looked humiliated at the poo being left in the toilet . Blaming the young kids? …….
Total embarrassment.
The first woman’s excuses are unreal😂 “it’s usually hot after I cook” hmmm maybe wait until it’s cooled down abit lol

Jodi!! Clean your house. His comment about mice and rats was a truth - you could have had rodents behind the couch. There were slices of bread back there. You needed help and he helped you. Honestly was nasty to try and blame-shift your shame onto James for what? Being clean?!!
Blaming the kids for not cleaning your home is really just sad.
I have to laugh when people say they don't like chemicals is the reason they don't clean...lol.
Ikr? The house smelling like a zoo is sooo much better.😅
32:40
- How much will you be projecting today?
- YES!
How does a man stay with his kids in this filth? Deal breaker
It was for him in the end
32:34 No she’s wrong for that. She’s projecting, she needs counseling seriously. He probably needs counseling for his OCD, but she’s just being really rude to the man who literally came here to clean her house, and was being so professional and nice despite the clutter and mess. I mean he obviously knew what he was getting into.
For real!!!!!
Ah, the classic excuse of ‘having kids’ I have 2 kids and I work and my house is still clean and tidy. She’s lazy, pure and simple. You don’t have to live in a show home, but if you keep on top of the cleaning it isn’t hard to keep a house tidy
They should've sent to her house those cleaners with kids and work, and clean at same time lol
Kay seems so lovely.
Well, there are millions of mother who can still clean and take care of their children. Her being a mother is an excuse for her not to maintain cleanliness in their house, disgusting.
Millions of mothers work and clean their houses and have children also.... she's got no excuse...
I doubt having kids had anything to do with the way she takes care of the house. It’s highly likely this is the way she was, before becoming a mother.
They have a garden and garge
The garden is always ok it's not messy, and garge it neat.
I love how good natured Kay is..she faces her obsession with a healthy attitude❣️
I don't know why jody is laughing at how dirty her house is, she's on national TV and all over the internet showing how lazy and selfish she is towards her family that she says is so important. 😂😂😂
When that vacuum bucket exploded to the floor, I would been deceased!
Looking at their filthy houses the germs are inside not outside....
James and Kristy are Fab!
Well I am judging you it’s disgusting and for children to be in this mess.
Is it me or the husband looked embarrassed???
He did. Probably didn’t even wanted to be on tv.
Blaming the little kids??!!😮
Who is raising who right?
Why don't these people give the actual cleaners the recognition they deserve? like honestly.
Which people?
They're on a fokking show
What a lovely Indian family.
Let's blame all sorts of wrongs onto the guy came out to help you. I'm just disgusted. Not at the house, but at that attitude.
House wife is absolutely delusional and lazy. Its everyone else’s problem or issues.
Love lil Indian couple bless
I hope Jodi and her family thanked James off camera or I missed it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣James' face at 40:09 🤣🤣🤣that are you kidding me look.🤣🤣🤣
I have had flashbacks to having a shared lunch at work. Imagine how many people who bring in food are cooking in kitchens like Jodi’s 😱🤢
"We have two small children." My mom has 9 kids and yes our house is never spotless, but our house has never been this messy and we were all homeschooled.
Thank you so much for your video.
0:50 carpet In the toilet. I don’t care how clean OCD you are that’s a massive no from me. Carpets are like sponges 🤢
I noticed the Claremont, NH t-shirt. It is a very beautiful area of New Hampshire. Small world.
I’m sorry but Iam a mom of two I go to work and still do houshouldchores I don’t understand it she puts everything on the kids excuses for everything 🙄
The mother has an excuse for everything. She's lazy, entitled, and has a chip on her shoulder.
She had rather play with her kids? Du. You can play with your kids and still have time to clean. That's what most do.
She needs to clean really good once a week and then maintain it everyday.
Why do these OCD People wear shoes inside their house 🤡
I have 3 kids. 2 of them being under 2 and my house is is cleaned everyday! It's spotless. Children are not an excuse.
She justifies herself for not cleaning the cooker right after cooking because it´s hot. That´s funny
Well James is cleaning up the house and you are judging him
THE MOM in this this episode is soooo LAZY!
And then he has his mum come see the results as if he's contributed to the transformation smhhhhh
Sharing the workload is he leaves the house to go earn money for the family, her job sense she stays home is care for the house and children, what else is she doing! It would not be equal if he had to do it all, really!
Having a toddler is a messy situation but if you are stay honest mom then you have time to clean to at least not have some spider webs!
Yea no I have two and I clean all the time that’s just laziness
Jody's stove that is tight up against the wall would make me very nervous. Why would the builder do that!
i wonder about the indian lady and her family. they are so great and open to ideas, kind and funny and sweet.
How has your diet been like, younger and older?
