5:22 Apparently there's this very weird shortcut, where you actually need to make a mid-air U-Turn after jumping on the up-hill, and your character needs to be at JUST the right height so that Aku-Aku/Uka-Uka actually PICKS YOU UP and places you in front of the finish line. I'm not sure if that one's actually possible to perform, but it definitely isn't worth going for.
Great video, and we're only scratching the surface with how deep the techs are in this game, some may only be saving frames

Yeah, that is basically TAS only. The inputs are practically impossible outside savestates
