I got a jaguar XF 5.0L (same engine). Suspected injectors clogged or "varnished" and just took it to the JLR techs for injector cleaning. They used some tools that spray through the injector. Also additive in the tank. Car is running rich now but no more misfire codes. Hope I don't have to change the injectors as I hear they are expensive. Either way thanks for hte video as I am a technical guy my self and love to learn about what is the job being done. Great tool to take out and install those injectors. I would only use a JLR approved tool for that job based on the High PSI sensitivity.
Is the 2000 psi on cranking also or just running? I'm getting only about 100 psi at cranking. I want to see if I have a bad mechanical fuel pump or 100psi at cranking is normal untill engine starts. Thanks in advance.
Good vid brother. Liked and sub'd. Couple questions please: Do I really need to pull the supercharger for a drivers' valve cover gasket replacement? Is it possible overfilling caused this sudden leak? The car was fine for 70k miles. Thanks, Todd
I ended up using a BFS and applying leverage while wiggling the rail off. I was in a similar pinch when a kind LR tech on reddit told me that it was the only way. Once it gets moving the whole unit comes off easily.

Any tips for removing the fuel rail? I’m afraid of damaging the rail, injectors or valve cover if I use too much force to pry it off. Thanks!
What did you end up doing? My fuel rail is seized on injectors.
@@lutronc4412 use a rope or nylon tie down strap

You have to remove the valve covers for replacing an injector?
No, you can just replace an injector without taking the valve cover off
