    This is my favorite snack. I made this today and it was delicious. I love that it’s not too sweet. The cassava and coconut goes well together. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

    +L.N Cluntun Cassava, also called yuca or manioc, is a starchy root vegetable in the tuber family. A popular ingredient in Asian cooking, it's used in both savory (soups, stews) and sweet dishes, like this dessert. Hope that helps!

      @RunAwayRice  8 років тому

      Hi Zindy, Cendol/Banh Lot is fairly straightforward to make. Are you familiar with the recipe? To make it chewier, use all-tapioca starch instead of tapioca and rice flour.

      Hi RunAwayRice
      Thanks for getting back to me:) No im not familiar with the recipe, I have seen so many recipies online and I got so confused, because of peoples comment on how the failed even thought the were following their recipe. do you have a recipe I can use?

    If I don't find the shredded tapioca ready made could I get the actual tapioca and shred it?

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  7 років тому

      +Cathy L. Yes, you can buy fresh cassava and shredded it yourself. Good luck!

      RunAwayRice .. the fresh shredded tapioca gives off a lot off liquid. squeeze it out? Or not?

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  7 років тому

      Yes, squeeze out most of the liquid.

    Are there different types of frozen shredded coconut? The ones I’ve seen in videos are a bit more fine then the ones I see at the grocery store.

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  6 років тому

      Hi Sara, the shredded coconut I use isn't frozen but dried. Either a fine or thicker shred would work. Grated coconut, which is typically finer, would work too. Good Luck!
