Lifting visa restrictions is not the most important thing for the country. Basic governance that guarantees security and enable people to earn a daily bread in peace will lead to even more prosperity.

Stop this! He just made a point, you are just hypocritical. What does uae have to offer you? Why must you leave your country if it's habitable? Do you know people are really hungry and suffering as a result of subsidy removal? How does lifting a visa ban correct that? Think right

There is nothing to be proud of. The train supposedly electric is being pulled by a diesel locomotive. It has taken since 2008 to build 1 line with 5 stations. Ethiopia built 3 lines in 2 years.

Seeing how the Blue Line has made life easier for Lagosians, one cannot help but wonder how much relief and progress it would have made if established when it was first conceived before cancellation in 1985. And yes, in 1985 Muhammadu Buhari canceled the project at a loss of over $78 million to the state taxpayers. Yet, the same man came and promised "change" and we believed him.

Happy to see the lagos metro in operation. Having worked in the the diaspora transport industry, and predominantly rail sector, I am keen to know what the operation and maintenance program for this rail line will look like, as well as the safety of commuters and their patronage.
If the transport industry is managed effectively, this will boot the economy through networking communities to foster enhanced trading and infrastructural development, which creates more job opportunities.
Someday, I hope to serve Nigerians in the capacity of a transport minister, with an extensive corporate and operational experience gained in the international transport industry

why are we celebrating .. UK has had underground train for more than 200 years and other countries more than 100 years ago. And you are right Adeola this should be in all states to Nigeria and also linked to the Airports. Go to some Arab countries who are not as old as UK or the USA and they have metro trains i.e. Dubai. It is a shame that Nigeria is still behind

Governor Jankande conceived the idea and even began securing space for it but General Buhari canceled it after overthrowing the Government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Congratulations to the state government. It's an iconic venture that we are all are proud of. Other states should copy from Lagos state. If state governors and their cronies would stop stealing public funds, a lot would have been done to develop the country.

All the other states should relocate their state Allocations to Lagos state since they can't do anything meaningful for their state. it is shameful that only Lagos is working in Nigeria. God keep Lagos working. Eko oni baje ooo

If all states relinquish their allocations to Lagos, is Lagos robust enough to handle the influx of migrants from the other 35 states that will be plunged into anarchy?
