This era of pinball is my favorite. Don't get me wrong I love real old pinball machines just as much as the next guy, but this style is just awesome. Almost all of them made around this time have a great balance of difficulty, flash on the playing field, great sounding music, and understandable voices. They are also very loud and obnoxious and that is what I like my pinball machines to be. Everyone in the building knows someone is playing pinball.
Even if Mr Bussler had started after avgn, I still think the uniqueness that he brings to the show makes CGR stand out from the crowd. Ive even got a game to send to him all the way from the uk. Its even in ntsc format, thats how much the show means to me.
Also, CGR videos are WAY better than AVGN for a multitude of reasons, but to exemplify, CGR ain't a Nintendo Fanboy. He plays everything and give mostly positive and well constructed commentaries about what's he's playing, instead of making faces/noises/general cussing. :)
There is a movie theatre that has this pinball machine stashed in some back room. Unfortunately not hooked up. I'd love to give it a go. If I had the room I would probably ask to buy it off them.
I also share the same views of nano. I used to watch avgn all the time (I still do), but I find cgr's presentation more interesting, less slagging off and just more professional. Each to their own.
I remember there being a bram stoker's dracula pinball off in the corner in a time-out arcade close to the x-men arcade machine, that pm gave me the creeps as a kid. I wonder if it was any good.
they're all located at the PAPA world headquarters (professional and amateur pinball association) located in Pittsburgh. To my knowledge the only machine he owns is Black Hole
+jay rod They are, just not as frequent and you don't see them in public spaces anymore. So if you want to play them you either got to buy one yourself (which costs a fortune) or go to a clubhouse of some sort.
I hope Farsight Studios can get a license with Data East and the studios that made Robocop, so that they can make a digital version for Pinball Arcade!
Well, you are a little bit wrong. I used to play this shit when I was wee lad, so reviews like this brings back some good memories (and Mark does that really well) ... btw. isn't that why we all watch this channel? Never played this one though, what an awesome soundsystem.
Couldn't pass a chance to quote the movie. Thanks anyways for the recommendations, still need to watch Soylent Green. (Kubrick made many of my all time favorites) Oh and I add David Lynch.
Data East was a good western developer company, people did not like Double Dragon, but if they made movies out of it, maybe it wasn't so bad. I like Robocop 3 for Super Nintendo but I don't know if that one was from them.
Mark, if you've been disappointed by Robocop games, play the Robocop game on the ZX Spectrum, widely believed to be even better than the arcade game it's based on.
CGR provides actual reviews, you could trust his word to an extent whether a game is worth playing. James Rolfe although very funny, uses hyperbole to make his videos great. He is not a serious nor semi serious reviewer, he is an entertainer.
Um... no, for a couple of reasons. 1. CGR definitely has its own distinct style. Mark reviewing a game is nothing like James (as the Nerd) reviewing the game. 2. Mark has been doing this since long before AVGN existed. The original Game Room run was in 1999.
I haven't counted for how many times you mention some SUX-9000. Obviously, there's no mention of it on the playfield. Otherwise you would have been reminded it's the SUX-6000.
As a huge fan of the original movie I LOLed through this vid, especially when he said 'Bitches leave' so randomly. Haha. This machine is available for sale at the moment, saw the eBay ad, hence why I came here.
If I could find a decent 80s / 90s pinball machine for under $1000, I might get one, but I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a pinball machine. Maybe some day...
Robocop 2 was pretty good, it was Robocop 3 that was the really bad one. Robocop 2 had a defective cyborg tearing it's own face off when removing it's helmet...what was not to love? And yeah, as others have said, it was the 6000 SUX....An American Tradition.
AVGN is awesome, but Mark is not a rip-off of him. Mark started reviewing first, and their styles are nothing alike. Mark actually reviews GOOD games much more often than bad games and when he does play bad games, he doesn't get pissed off. TL;DR: Not a rip-off.
Great review, awesome machine. The only gripe I have with it is actually a stupid software thing. At 10 million points, you roll it. The machine just starts at zero points again. Which it doesn't have to, because it has 16 digit displays. And 10 million is a pretty doable score. But otherwise.. Yeah. it rocks. :)
This pinball really does look like fun, and it has RoboCop. Props to the late Data East for making this table.
Only mark could make a 7min video about a pinball machine so interesting.
Now this is some state-of-the art bang bang! Nice work as always!
I have never wanted to own a pinball machine so badly until now. Thanks Mark..
One of the best of the underestimated pinball games around. The music and theme do make the game. Have owned my Robo now for 4 years and its a keeper.
My favorite pinball macine when I was younger was a terminator one. The ball launch rod was switched out for a gun. Best time playing pinball.
I wish Mark would review more pinball machines, love these reviews.
"Dead or alive you're coming with me" to play some pinball,,,,hellz yeah!

This is a great looking and sounding Pinball...the moment this video was over I typed "Robocop theme" into the search bar.
Like Mark "I'd buy it for two". That's an awesome pinball machine! I truly miss seeing them around.
Awesome review. I want one of those!
Even if Mr Bussler had started after avgn, I still think the uniqueness that he brings to the show makes CGR stand out from the crowd. Ive even got a game to send to him all the way from the uk. Its even in ntsc format, thats how much the show means to me.
Amazing pinball machine, Robocop is a timeless movie!
Whoa! There's only 211 of the "Asteroid Annie and the Aliens" pinball machines, and your standing next to one! So cool!
Also, CGR videos are WAY better than AVGN for a multitude of reasons, but to exemplify, CGR ain't a Nintendo Fanboy. He plays everything and give mostly positive and well constructed commentaries about what's he's playing, instead of making faces/noises/general cussing. :)

How can 17 people not like this? This is awesome!
José, Well, at least there's 899 likes.
Innuendo for years. It'd never get old. I'm sure there's always new one's coming about even now.
When Mark slaps on that head band, you know shit's gettin real.
The fictional futuristic car is actually 6000 SUX. The Ford Taurus did appear when Robocop said "Come quietly or they'll be trouble!"
thumbs up for Mark's impersonation of the melted Emil
That scene scared me! Plus his horrible disfigured face is horrifying to look at.
I also share the same views of nano. I used to watch avgn all the time (I still do), but I find cgr's presentation more interesting, less slagging off and just more professional. Each to their own.
He went to the PAPA Headquarters, a massive building where they often hold numerous pinball tournaments.
oh ma gad! you have a classics!! i saw centipéde and now robocop!coooolll!
I remember there being a bram stoker's dracula pinball off in the corner in a time-out arcade close to the x-men arcade machine, that pm gave me the creeps as a kid. I wonder if it was any good.
I found that there's a Robocop arcade game on my MAME arcade machine. That's a pretty neat as well!
This machine is awesome! especially with those digital stereo speakers.
CGR the only videogame show with people dancing with robocop's soundtrack
Weather I am interested or not I watch every single review, just for the extra support!:D
Good night Robocop :3
The music is awesome.
they're all located at the PAPA world headquarters (professional and amateur pinball association) located in Pittsburgh. To my knowledge the only machine he owns is Black Hole
they should be making more pin-ball machines
+jay rod They are, just not as frequent and you don't see them in public spaces anymore. So if you want to play them you either got to buy one yourself (which costs a fortune) or go to a clubhouse of some sort.
Robocop (by Ocean) on the Zx Spectrum 48K was good fun back in the day, just my two cents
If they have the pinball machines to match, you should do a full Paul Verhoeven series.
@ 4:43 Get that Facking soda off the pinball table NOW!!!!
Mark, the SUX 9000, is actually the 6000 SUX.
Great review though and it really looks like a fun game.
Every quote from the movie is there? Even Dick Jones saying 'You just fucked with the wrong guy!'? Awesome. Great music too.
I hope Farsight Studios can get a license with Data East and the studios that made Robocop, so that they can make a digital version for Pinball Arcade!
Who is the other dude? Scott Mosier from Kevin Smith fame? Looks identical from behind!
Well, you are a little bit wrong. I used to play this shit when I was wee lad, so reviews like this brings back some good memories (and Mark does that really well) ... btw. isn't that why we all watch this channel?
Never played this one though, what an awesome soundsystem.
Somebody needs to add in the good lines they couldn't in 89'. "Can you fly Bobby?"
Please review that Evel Kinevel (hope I spelt that right) pinball machine.
Those one liners rock! And where that Cobra Assault rifle?
I saw the Star Trek TNG pinball machine right behind this pinball machine
Please review it
RoboCop: The Future of Pinball Entertainment
Couldn't pass a chance to quote the movie.
Thanks anyways for the recommendations, still need to watch Soylent Green. (Kubrick made many of my all time favorites)
Oh and I add David Lynch.
I see Asteroid Annie was not by RoboCop. Was she destroyed from RoboCops awesomeness?
Damnit now I have to watch Robocop again.
The car was the 600 SUX, but that's alright. This review is still awesome.
I find a disturbing lack of the famous one liner "dead or alive you're coming with me"
This Pinball Robocop game disappoints me
Sorry I didn't quite catch that, is the audio analogue or digital?..
:)
Where I can find the "soundtrack" of those pinball machines?
omg a ROBOCOP pinball machine, I want it!
I haven't played a pinball machine in a long time. In fact, I haven't seen one n forever.
Data East was a good western developer company, people did not like Double Dragon, but if they made movies out of it, maybe it wasn't so bad. I like Robocop 3 for Super Nintendo but I don't know if that one was from them.
This looks awesome.
Mark, if you've been disappointed by Robocop games, play the Robocop game on the ZX Spectrum, widely believed to be even better than the arcade game it's based on.
Awesome review hombre ..
What are your thoughts on the remake?
CGR provides actual reviews, you could trust his word to an extent whether a game is worth playing. James Rolfe although very funny, uses hyperbole to make his videos great. He is not a serious nor semi serious reviewer, he is an entertainer.
Why was there no pinball based on the Alien movies?
You need to review the Street Fighter 2 pinball machine!
If you tilt the machine, does Robocop's dataspike come out and stab you?
Is he actually in his house/office or did he go to an arcade to play this? That room looks kind of huge...
Yeah, the dancing scene was in Robocop 2: Electric Boogaloo.
where do you find all these machines?
Um... no, for a couple of reasons.
1. CGR definitely has its own distinct style. Mark reviewing a game is nothing like James (as the Nerd) reviewing the game.
2. Mark has been doing this since long before AVGN existed. The original Game Room run was in 1999.
AVGN does pinball machines?
Does it follow the story line of the movie?
If the sound system is the same as Time Machine it sounds better than anything since.
"Later that day we were joined by international renowned pinball player and One Direction fan."
Oh i lol'd.
haha, you know what man after all these years that saying has always stuck with me.
Data-East's arcade of Robocop was not disappointing though
that made me relive my youth
I haven't counted for how many times you mention some SUX-9000. Obviously, there's no mention of it on the playfield. Otherwise you would have been reminded it's the SUX-6000.
were was this filmed at
Where was this filmed?
If Pinball Arcade was somehow able to get the rights to this, I would be very happy!
Where can you get a pinball machine? They don't seem to exist anymore.
Where did asteroid annie go?
can't we be fan of both AVGN and CGR ?
As a huge fan of the original movie I LOLed through this vid, especially when he said 'Bitches leave' so randomly. Haha.
This machine is available for sale at the moment, saw the eBay ad, hence why I came here.
Clarence! My Leg! 'Can you fly Bobby?'
I feel disgraceful by not watching this movie yet. I'mma get it right now!
I WANT THIS!! Love the original RoboCop. The sequels sucked tho
This video is a masterpiece.
I could never figure out what's funny about the "I'd buy that for a dollar" ad guy on all the TVs.
If I could find a decent 80s / 90s pinball machine for under $1000, I might get one, but I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a pinball machine. Maybe some day...
Does Mark own all these pinball machines? Or is this some pinball place.
Do you have arcade games
I STILL want Robocop vs Terminator to be made in to a movie D: The game is great, but a movie would be better.
Robocop 2 was pretty good, it was Robocop 3 that was the really bad one. Robocop 2 had a defective cyborg tearing it's own face off when removing it's helmet...what was not to love?
And yeah, as others have said, it was the 6000 SUX....An American Tradition.
I miss pinball reviews that actually play the table...
That digital stereo!
AVGN is awesome, but Mark is not a rip-off of him. Mark started reviewing first, and their styles are nothing alike. Mark actually reviews GOOD games much more often than bad games and when he does play bad games, he doesn't get pissed off. TL;DR: Not a rip-off.
classic game room = sega, avgn= nitendo me= mark and sega is the beast
RoboCop vs. Terminator on the Genesis was heavenly what do you mean RoboCop games have been disappointing?! :(
Great review, awesome machine.
The only gripe I have with it is actually a stupid software thing. At 10 million points, you roll it. The machine just starts at zero points again. Which it doesn't have to, because it has 16 digit displays. And 10 million is a pretty doable score.
But otherwise.. Yeah. it rocks. :)
I’d buy that for a dollar
I'm great FaN of pinball Arcade Game, so much,😆☺️
