What a terrific bloke. He is a fountain of information and has a true and beautiful spirit. One can feel the strength of his generosity and love for karate and he is not interested in trashing the memories or history of Elvis. Thanks ever so for such an enlightening interview.

This is such a touching video series. What an amazing interview. (As an outsider, and from what I've read & interviews I've seen, my opinion is the West boys truly LOVED Elvis. They were heart broken over what they have seen & tried to protect him always. Even tried to protect him from himself which is an impossible feat.)

I can certainly appreciate the inspirational and life lessons I'm receiving from listening to this gentleman. And believe this is the same reason Elvis ,was so keen on karate . Always trying to learn, from all the different aspects of inner and outer control of thy self.

Love this guys soul. His point about what Elvis means. I think, he was seen as the positive light the world saw America as at the time, a young America, and the hopeful people in it and rock n roll was the soundtrack. Great video Sir!

Wise words from Patrick. Very grounded guy, who talks from the heart.
Loved what he said about Red. Instantly reminded me of Elvis’ own quote of ‘To judge a man by his weakest link or deed is like judging the power of the ocean by one wave!’
It was also rumored that Elvis offered to pay them double what the publishing company for the book was giving them. So many people say it was about the money. So if true, why didn’t they go for the money grab?
I believe Sonny and all the guys loved Elvis but like all great things change is always inevitable. Yet the more I learn the more I see loyalty right to the end and I’m not talking about from when Elvis died.
Ps Billy found out a bit of interesting information. I’ll touch base with you soon. Hope all is well and your grand baby isn’t running you in circles yet. Glad you’re doing karate, you’ll soon need it just to keep up. Congrats again, but you look to young to be a grandpa.

Well dadgum it blows my mind that there is more to the belts than improving in your abilities to kick assparagus! But it's far more deeper emotionally, spiritually, sociably etc. And the stories he tells and the feeling he tells them with makes you just wanna learn more! I totally get what he was saying about how Elvis has touched each individual differently. It's hard to explain the magnetism Elvis possesss. What a really neat story. I am so grateful for bringing it to us. God Bless and always tighten up 💜💜

Good words about Red, who was closer than a brother to Elvis. Poor choices were made by all parties and as with any two brothers who have a falling out, there was more going on than any of us on the outside can ever know.

Amazing history with great stories from a compelling storyteller. Thou know Billy it outs so easy to take what thou do for granted. So many of us enjoy these inside stories around the peripheral of Elvis' life.
We have still followed over learned about Elvis through our entire life and have read and watched what was produced for public consumption throughout the years.
As he said ... we all too "yearn tho learn!"
And you Spa Guy are the Grand Master of the 10th Degree of Elvis "the King" Life Storyteller!!!!

Very powerful clip, it’s interesting that the Elvis What Happened book became such a big deal. I’m sure everyone seen malicious, and at the time it would have looked that way. People did not see the help that it should have given Elvis, but that’s the way people are. I personally don’t believe those 3 guys meant any harm especially Red and Sonny we all know they obviously loved him. Anyway another great video Spa Guy well done mate.

What a speech of inspiration. 🙏🏻
Ok wow just finished part 2, I am in tears. Hearing how loved and the impact Elvis had on the world always brings me to tears. This is why I love him so much. He was not just a star, he was so much more then that. Also I love what both you and Mr.Wrenn said about Red West. I do notice a lot of people hating on certain people in the Elvis world, and I am gonna be honest I didn't voice it as vocally, but I feel like I went along with it because I am still learning about the Elvis world. However, the world is a stage, and we all play a part, and we didn't see and know everything, and you don't just wake one day and want to hurt the ones you love, or work them to death. Everything happens for a reason, and I truly believe that context is important and perspective. What a powerful message. It brought me to tears, and hearing how loved Elvis still is and how he inspires so many of us, including myself that just made me feel even prouder to be an Elvis fan. We miss you so much Elvis, I so dearly wish I could have met you and been in your life.

Thank you so much Billy for bringing Patrick's story to us!! I am just so caught up in his knowledge and humbleness, despite his many awards and accomplishments. Being a HUGE Elvis fan for 48 years, I am thrilled to know some of the stories that made Elvis one of the greatest humanitarians of our time. His story is ABSOLUTELY UNFORGETTABLE and I'm so thankful to you and many others for making sure of just that! IF there is one thing that I would want to leave the world with is my integrity and knowing I loved my fellow man and my Creator. Thank YOU for bringing us this side of Elvis!!!

So have fun Spa Guy but be very careful with your body! ..... All close friends and family have issues now and then, however, this was not what everyone thinks it was, in the end, the world will understand the huge, personal sacrifice that Red & Sonny took for their brother! As Elvis once said “you never seize to amaze me baby”! A couple of observations Sir Spa Guy.. To see through the eyes of Elvis is incredible and which only one from the “Elvis family” truly understands. It made me smile when you asked if the air conditioning unit was there when Elvis was in that room..you get it & as a consequence you enable us to experience it...thank you for being the link between the Elvis Story & us. I understand the Red West thing and I don’t put him in the same league as Dr Nic or The Colonel..trusted people who had a huge responsibility to utilise their empowerment to ensure Elvis’s safety and Artistic Credibility. I have always yearned and dreamed for Elvis to be alive and makes me incredibly sad that things were not done differently..however, as sad as It is you are right...hate is too strong. What is done is done and unfortunately we can’t rewrite the past. We have to take the positiveness of Elvis’s legacy and embrace it. You’re a good guy..Spa Guy 😇

Of which I have never heard of before until now. And found myself listening and paying attention to every word MR. Wrenn had said. I was surprised to hear him talk about what happened to his back. You see I had two spine surgeries the second one to fix the first one. The first left me with permanent never damage to both feet and lower back. Took me a whole year before I could walk again. Thanks to Mr. Wrenn and you may be there is still hope for me to learn Karate? Something I have always wanted to do. I can tell Mr. Wrenn treasures his Karate Institute. Billy, Another great informative EP,'piece of the puzzle'. Patrick had lots of great information and explained each segment great! As Patrick said, it is very hard to put a finger on why the "Elvis vibe' is still going strong 40+ years after his death., what is even stranger the number of young people ,20-35 years old that finds out about Elvis and are 'hooked'. That is very very uncommon for a singer to be a 'favorite' with all the new generation singers available to listen to on the internet. Get a chuckle out of how many people say how good looking/charisma Elvis was to see in person for first time. Jerry Reed said in an interview first time he seen Elvis in person in Lost Wages,NV. he was the sharpest looking human he had ever seen & said "He wished he could turn into a woman to hit on Elvis".. lol. B.

No one has had the impact on this world that Elvis has except for Jesus Christ, and Elvis would be the first one to admit that Jesus is the King and he was only a singer. Still his impact has been world wide and most of his impact was good because everyone loves him. A lot of lies have been told about Elvis, but in my opinion, he rose above them all.

This guy is intense and he has a way of drawing you in. A brilliant speaker. I guess I was unclear until this video whether or not he had actually met or seen Elvis in person or if he bought the studio recently without any history there. That was all good information. I thought I was the only guy that enjoyed seeing all of these places Elvis had history and places he had visited. This is way too cool to find your Channel and see how much time you spend showing us all of these historical places including where he and Scotty met at Scotty's apartment and the first place they practiced. I spent several hours so far watching your videos and I look forward to several more. I remember hearing or seeing something about a video about Ellis Auditorium and I am having trouble finding it. I toured the Las Vegas Hilton couple of years ago visiting his hotel suite and I'm unclear as to how much of it was original. It was still an unbelievable feeling to be standing in that gorgeous hotel suite. The tour guide did not know much. I would have given $1000000 to see the ballroom where he performed all of those years.

Well spotted Spa Guy the thermostat! All those years and still there. Yes, Red West was good friend of Elvis.

I love this episode you did. I’m very curious and interested in Elvis and his martial arts. I am a jr Black Belt in TaeKwonDo. July of this year I will be testing for my Black Belt. I’d love to see or even better have a photo of Elvis in his TaeKwonDo uniform.. Is there any pictures of him in it. I’ve only seen pictures of Elvis in his karate uniform.

Great video and love Mr. Patrick’s outlook on life. I would like to add a theory about Red, who I agree was one of Elvis’s true friends. He may have given Elvis and his father an ultimatum either he gets help or he goes public and that is when he is let go and then carries forward with his threat. As the Spa Guy said to get Elvis clean.

Thank god for the honesty of Patrick bout it taking years to grow into an expert and a black belt.my opinion is it comes to easy nowadays. being a black belt should take a while to become. im from the kyokushin style and let me tell you the belts dont come easy. my question is if anyone knows...how long did it take elvis to become a black belt? and i know the 50s and 60s where different times but i se basic faults in elvis way of doing it on stage that would cause him to not graduate as a black belt. does it come easyer for the stars is my question?

Same stuff we are fighting against in JiuJitsu. Trying to keep it from being watered down and stopping the belt factories. JiuJistu, is supposed to take at least 10 years before you get a black belt. Of course, there are outlier freaks that can learn quicker. And no child under 18 will be awarded a black belt. The kids have their own seperate belt system and their highest rank they can get is green. At 18, they are awarded their adult blue belt. (White, Blue, Purple, Brown, black, red are the adult belt progressions and each belt has 4 stripes). Very interesting video spa guy.

I agree and can personally relate with almost everything you said. Just I believe you can be a Shodan in less than eight years, especially if you train several days a week. I have been in the martial arts since 1968 and have Master black belt rank in two traditional systems and First Black in another. Much respect, Sir!
