Have an Aero EPC-9 with ALMOST all Aero parts in it (95%) buffer weight, charging handle, safety selector are not Aero. I did change the buffer weight to a KAW 10oz and it made a huge difference in felt recoil. That with the VG6 muzzle device made it very soft shooting. I have NEVER had a malfunction with it in anyway. That being said when I told this to the rep at Aero he said I was lucky as it is not common to hear that. He said have you noticed how its been around for some time now but the other caliber options are still not released? He said Aero is not even trying to release them as the issues with the 9mm platform are still occurring. I consider my EPC-9 to be one of my fav firearms and would grab it in a SHTF scenario without hesitation, not sure why the rep was trashing it so hard.
Love their products and customer service. But good luck ever finding anything in stock.

Is it ok to build out the Lower w/ normal Mil Spec Parts? and can the Buffer for this be purchased by itself?
OK, I found the Buffer & Buffer Kit for sale on Aero's Website. But now I am wondering if (since it uses a standard Carbine Receiver Extension) Would it be OK to use the Geissele Super 42 Braided Wire Buffer Spring - Along with Aero's Buffer purchased from their website?
Would the cmmg radial delay blowback 10mm bolt and barrel work for y'all's upper?

Can this be used with a standard lower and a stern defense magazine adapter? I’d like to use the p320 version
i dont think so because their EPC is somewhat proprietary with some parts unlike most 9mm AR
Is the ALG QMS compatible with the EPC 9 or do we need to get specially hardened trigger/hammer pins with it?
The hardened trigger pin is a must have for 9mm ARs. I just run the aero milspec AR15 trigger with the hardened pins in my epc9
Hey I'm looking to build one. Would this recoil system be considered short or full stroke?
It's late for the comment but in case others are wondering this system relies on the method that is direct blowback. There are no locking features in the EPC setup as compared to the G36 with short stroke or the AK platform with long stroke
Are they made to only accept Glock mags, or can the take other mags like S&W M&P?

So, to be clear, we can buy a complete EPC9 lower and it will be gtg for the 10mm when it is released? Or is the 10mm going to have its own lower?
I think the 9mm works with 40s&w and at a later date they will have a .45/10mm lower

Any instructions on building? I bought all my parts but I didn't get a pre built upper. I can't find any instructions or videos on wtf I'm doing. How many of these spacers do I need? What are these small parts that thread onto either side of a threaded thingy? As a new builder, I'm disappointed in the lack of basic instruction involved.

Yes but I believe you’d need a magazine conversion from 223 to 9mm. Not sure if the lrbh would work or not though

So you need a carbine buffer tube not a standard buffer tube. ?

Yes, standard AR parts on The lower. For the upper the charging handle is standard AR but obviously the BCG/Barrel/muzzle device are for 9mm specifically.
Do you have to use Aero branded BCG on EPC9? At the moment Aero BCG is out of stock.

Tim, no any 9mm BCG will work just make sure it’s for glock mags. I got the Faxon BCG for $129 since I got a blem receiver set to build.
@@derek3154 , thanks. I ordered one last night from primary arms. Mad Mike Productions recommended same BCG. I didn’t realized they sell “blemish” sets. I got mine from Brownells. How’s your build going? What configuration did you go with? I already got my LPK, barrel and brake. The rest have been ordered and hopefully get all next week.
@@Boy_sumi just ordered the set yesterday so it will probably be a few weeks.
Went with a 6” barrel with 1/2 x 28 threading from Angstadt arms, 3 lug flash hider from angstadt as well.
Armaspec LPK and SBA3 stock as i already have it.
Just need a handguard for it. Probably wait till the 5.5” angstadt is available, can’t get one Right now.
@@derek3154 cool. I went with a 11” barrel from ballistic advantage, Aero EPC LPK, strike industries mini king comp brake & pistol stabilizer. Good luck!

Save yourself the time and money and do not purchase this PCC. I went to test fire my newly built EPC today at work. We utilize Speer gold dot 124gr +P JHP ammo. It would only fire one round and then instantly jam on the second one. It did this repeatedly no matter how many times I tried to clear it reload and fire. Frustrated I packed it up and decided to call Aero. Whoever their so-called tech rep is told me that PCC’s are not designed to handle hollow point Ammo and I should only use ball ammo. Huh? Why didn’t Aero tell anyone this beforehand? If I’d known this I would’ve saved my money and bought a CMMG banshee like my buddy. He feeds it ANY avail 9mm ammo and it eats EVERYTHING- ball or HP ammo. Never mind that the Aero “tech guy” apparently doesn’t have a clue. At my job we run HK MP5s with the same JHP +P Ammo and they run flawlessly. When I told him that he acted surprised. I guarantee he isn’t a shooter and definitely doesn’t own a EPC-9. Aero knows about this issue because upon looking online there are tons of blogs and articles about this problem. Luckily I was referred to Rudy at Macon Armory in Georgia who knows the issue and can fix the barrel. Apparently it’s a design flaw that prevent the proper feed of HP ammo. If it can be fixed ($80) why doesn’t Aero do the right thing and correct this?!?! Up until now I’ve been an Aero fan but this has me rethinking such support. Save your money and the headaches and do not buy an Aero EPC.
DO NOT BUY AN AERO EPC 9MM! Mine will not feed correctly. It's the most useless firearm I own. I'm pretty sure the barrel is poorly designed. Seriously, just buy a scorpion or anything else!
I have the same issue, got the gun finished, went to chamber a round and it flat nosed. Figured it to be a fluk and tried again. And again. Same thing every time. It's good that I didn't try to fire them, now I have a handful of flat nosed 9mm rounds during an ammo shortage. Looking into the chamber you can see where the round didn't even try to go into the chamber and t boned the poorly designed feed ramp. I guess Macon Armory has a solution so I will likely get up with them.
Pretty sure they changed the barrel chamber lead angle to correct that issue shortly after they were introduced. Something you would have been informed of if you had contacted them, if you even actually bought one.
@@jammerlr7780 they stopped communicating with me during the email exchange process. I ended up fixing the issue with a Macon Armory barrel and magazine catch.
