Nice! As much as I love all the crazy techniques Eddie popularized, it's the bluesy phrasing and how he personalized it that still gives me goosebumps :)
Because of Eddie’s stature and mythical status, his stuff seems intimidating and almost blasphemous to try and imitate. But once you break each part down like this, it becomes a little more easy to handle in small chunks. Nice breakdown

These licks are wicked fun to play especially if you're in that groove. Great stuff.
Agreed. Switching between major and minor pentatonic is fine, but the groove is the coolest part about this lick. EvH doesn't always land a strong note on a down beat. Beats two and three of this lick get kind of an off-time feel until he brings it back around to land on the one for the second measure. I didn't really get how cool it was until I tried playing with a metronome and it was significantly harder than playing it on my own.
You're a good teacher......really feels like you enjoy helping people experience the joy of learning something new!

Man, I love your videos - but I especially love the ones on Eddie’s stuff!
The tab for the last note played on the ninth fret signals a pre-bend then note hit letting down to pitch. You need a different bend arrow there, a bend up and release back to the proper pitch.

Thanks. I just found your channel and I think it's great. I was a pretty decent player back in the 80s but quit altogether 23 years ago (kids, jobs etc.). Now that the kids are grown and I traded the old lady in, I decided ti shake off the dust. You're a great inspiration and great picker. I came up on VH, Lynch, DiMartini, Jake E. Lee and Satriani. It was a great time. Keep up the great work and I'll stay tuned in.

Ed would mix minor and major notes in his solos and throw in different modes to make things so interesting
I can see that as being one of the few reasons not to have a rhythm guitar player-u can change the tonality of the song without worrying about clashing with an underlying chord
