exactly what i wanted thankyou . As a nearly 60 year old guy you'll know i probably wont read the stuff that comes with the bike so this is great . I chose to drop 3.5K on a bike not dissimilar to the one in your vid as it comes with that big ass battery and the gen 4 bosch cx . I just want to get to work and back and get fit without too much sweat. Average 4 days a week and 35mile round trip lookin foward to it.

Greaty video and thanks for doing that. Is there a way to adjust your mph? Mine is constantly showing much higher speeds than my Garmin.

There is an adjustment you can make on the back end with the dealer software to correct small changes to the speedo displayed. For instance if you put smaller or larger tires on you can measure the rollout and adjust the system so the speed is more accurate. It's worth noting that GPS units like Garmin use a "ping" system to the satellite for location and speed. Depending on the frequency of the ping the speed displayed isn't 100% accurate. Also worth noting that things like rider weight, tire pressure, how many miles the tires have on them, all can affect the speed displayed. That's a long way of saying it'll never be perfect, but should be pretty darn close! At the end of the day at least you're out there putting miles on that sweet ride!!

I got this on my cube Reaction pro 625 2023. I've been told it should be able to connect to the app but can't find it. Have I been given the wrong display?

The original Purion does not offer iphone connectivity, but the new Purion 200 display connects to Bosch's eBike Flow App.
From Bosch's website: "This gives you digital functions that you can easily activate and use via the app - e.g. for greater theft protection, recording your activities or the option of adapting riding modes to your needs. In addition, the Purion 200 is the interface for transferring updates to your eBike. This means that it always stays up-to-date."

Are You sure that Micro USB port can charge external device, such as phone? Is there any requirement regarding cable?
Oops, we made a mistake! You're right - you can't charge on the Purion, only on the Kiox/Nyon/Smartphone hub. We'll add a correction!
How do you turn the service spanner icon off
Will resetting the trip miles on the purion display also reset the Total miles to zero? Can that even be reset or is total miles more like a car odometer so someone cannot lie about the total miles on the bike if selling it?
Just wanting to make sure the used bike I look to buy would really have only the miles the seller says it has.
It will not reset the total miles. That cannot be done.
I've had bad luck with Bosch ebikes.

Hello! There isn't really a best mode, only a best mode for you. Depending on your commute, the hills, the wind, your fitness and/or desire to get a workout, you can choose what feels best. The only time you'd really need to move into the lower power modes is to increase your battery range. Happy Riding!

Hey Ruben, great question!
Bosch has a few displays that will pair via Bluetooth with your phone and the Bosch eBike Connect app. The Kiox and Nyon displays are very popular upgrades that really open up the possibilities of the Bosch system, including color displays and navigation capabilities.
Depending on your handlebar setup the Smartphone Hub is another option that uses your phone as the display, really cool! In our experience the Kiox is usually the first stepping stone for display upgrades. From there some folks either pivot to the Smartphone Hub or Nyon depending on how they're using their bike. That's why we stock all 3 upgrade kits!

How can I set the wheel diametre in that Purion LCD display?
Hi Adrei,
While there are some adjustments one can make through some of the Bosch displays, the Purion doesn't have that option, unfortunately.
The wheel size adjustment, intended to correct the speedometer should one change tires, can be done at any Bosch certified shop and it's a pretty quick process in the dealer software.

After my second Garmin Edge 520 died unexpectedly I decided to try something different - the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt instead of the Garmin 530. Boy! I'm glad I did. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXZCtB-wGdHVTBSz8RswePK5vllHNi06N The display on the Wahoo Bolt is much easier to read. I like the configuration of the display more (up to 7 items visible on page 1 without scrolling and the first item chosen is larger characters than the next 3 rows that have pairs of items (still very readable). I also like the configurable item selections. The Bolt synced with my Garmin ANT+ Speed sensors on both bikes easily so no additional investment was required there. While the rated battery life is a couple hours less than the Garmin 520/530, I easily get a weeks worth of 1+ hour rides before recharging (and it's never really low on charge). At the end of a ride syncing to the Wahoo app, Strava, and Apple Health app is painless.

Pro tip don't buy this system if you have a firmware problem it will take at least a week for Bosch to send your shop a simple firmware file.
a rather flawed user interface. just add a few more buttons such as 'menu, ok n back buttons' n it will becom much more user friendly. menu icon bosch ,menu icon.
