- This 2009 Scion xD is 100% stock except for the addition of a Nitrous Express Nitrous Oxide system and the appropriate purge kit. The 1.8L engine makes 128 horsepower from the factory, and the kit, in theory, is worth 50 more. Why? Because.

They'd be throwing up because Nitrous for cars(nitrous+) has traces of sulfur in it to detect leaks( sulfur smells like shit), in case anyone wanted to know.

This is probably one of my favorite One Takes. The guest was very cool about his car being slow and it was pretty funny.
Used to have a Scion XA with more than 300k miles on it, that only had general maintenance done, and still was going strong.. Probably still is! These things will run forever, for sure

The Scion xD was under rated... Got better fuel economy then a Corolla and was faster then a Corolla S as well. I averaged 37-39 mpg highway. The 5-speed manual made the car much more fun to drive around. The hatch worked very well in the city for moving around friends and cargo.
This was a great video. Do more regular type cars like this instead of 500HP BMWs and 700HP Nissans
i bought my teenage daughter a 2008 Scion XD manual as her 1st car . My wife & I drive a RAM 1500 HEMI & a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, respectively, as our dailys .
We have fought weekly over who gets to take the Scion to errand run for over a year ,now .

Really reminds me of a high school friend that through a 50 shot system on a 95 Neon that his parents gave him. 3 speed auto SOHC 132hp 4 door... Slowest neon ever but that nitrous took his slow mid 20s car to a lightning fast mid 17!
I LOOOVE seeing this many people all like a video so unanimously. Especially about a car video that features a car I own and thought was alone on its enjoyment. So happy to know for sure that people can appreciate this car for what it is. A great way to both save money and easily access more enjoyment with minimal investment. I can't think of a car that begs to have a sound system installed more than the scion boXes.
Also he previously did a video on a 5th gen prelude..which is my project car. So now he's done a video for every fun car I've ever owned except the 3rd gen sentra. Actually now that I think about it I've only ever bought cars I liked driving and had a blast in.
Fun fact: The xD's suspension is taken from the Yaris, it's a 99% exact copy
