    This 2009 Mitsubishi Galant ended up with it's current owner the way we'd imagine most Galants end up with their owners: as a hand-me down. Determined to make lemonade, Daniel added a set of coil overs, improved the brakes, and added an exhaust.
    Check it out on Wheelwell!

      Galant is a big car for that engine, you need to beat on it for significant progress. In this case, it's likely a bigger engine would be more economical in it.

    The car: Galants are great for transport, but in this segment of car videos, all i feel like saying is: Imho it would look a lot better, if the ride height were set to a level that suits the car. ..and it most likely would drive better too.

    I have this exact same car, same year, all that good stuff....i can say this much about it. I bought mine for 850 bucks a d it was SUPER CLEAN. I thought something had to be wrong with it for it being so cheap to purchase. So far, this has been THE BEST damn car I've ever had! I drive delivery for dominos and I drive the crap out this car and I've NEVER had an issue, except with an ignition issue that was a relatively easy fix. It's one of the best deals I've ever gotten on ANYTHING in life. I'm so grateful for my lil gallant and still wash her and vacuum her out on the REG and change her oil every 3k miles cause she's worth it. It's driving is zippy to! Don't let these guys fool you into believing it's completely gutless. I've smoked a few decent rides off the line at a red before. All in all, on a scale of 1 to 10 on my love for my galant, I'd give her a safe 9. Can't really think of any cons aside of the fact that the stock stereo in it doesn't come with an AUX outlet....thats about my biggest complaint. It's roomy and comfortable and drives like a dream most times and I couldn't be happier!

    • @billvassi
      @billvassi 2 роки тому

      I couldn't agree more. I have a new Honda Accord which I love but wanted a 2nd car for bad weather & to keep the miles on my Accord low. So I bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant for a very decent price. Let me tell you this car rides like a dream and is super reliable. I added a decent double din JVC Bluetooth stereo, a backup camera & $100 JBL speakers in in the rear. I bought a piano black dash kit to cover the wood grain. The car looks great, drives great, is reliable & comfortable. And since I added the upgrades, I dont mind driving it at all, switching off from a brand new Honda Accord. This is a very solid & underrated car. Some of the best money I've ever spent. Not as good as your bargain of $850 though.

    I own a 2011 Galant SE and never thought I would see Matt test driving one lol. It's a great daily, family car and has literally given us 0 problems. The resale is crap, but it does what it's supposed to do. The 19 mpg combined sounds like his car is starting to have some issues because I can get 22-24 mpg when I'm beating on it; 27-30 when on long trips cruising.

    No joke, I once watched a Judge Judy episode where an African came to this country and wanted to show off by buying an expensive car even though he couldn't afford it. He claimed he paid 50k for it, and what was it? A Mitsubishi Galant!!!!!!!!!

    I have one, I checked this video cause there's virtually no aftermarket parts for this car. So I was just curious... But just suspension work

    never knew these were made for so long. thought the galants ended somewhere in 2002 - these were never imported to europe, and it's the first time I see one. you're wrong about Y2k ruining mitsu though. I have a 2004 lancer wagon with 249 000 kms, and it just sits near the fence now that i've bought my 08 audi a6 allroad, but another car in the family is a 2005 colt with 96 000 kms, and both the mitsus are great... i mean, mine was also, until the oil sump gasket started to leak, and to change that i have to take the subframe lower member off, which i'll eventually do, but just haven't gotten to that yet. the mitsus are dead reliable, on my 2004 lancer wagen i still run very many original wear an tear parts, like the front lower control arm bushings, and majority of the rear mnultilink ind. susp. bushings, and that's in a country with some of the more stringent MOT rules in Europe. it's a pity mitsu's having such bad times, especially looking how mazda and hyundai are able to rise and shine, but as I understand mitsus were cheating for a long time about their consumption figures, were involved in a bunch of legal matters, changed their CEOs tens of times in the last 10 years - but hey, the company still produced some of the greatest cars, like their last evo 10 (from which many parts are exactly as on my 2004 lancer) - and that car, even compared to modern wrx'es and focuses st, doesn't fare too badly from the mechanical standpoint. now they've sold 30% to nissan, but hope they are still coming back. good luck, mitsu!

    I have a Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart with the 3.8 V6 and it is putting out 260 at the front wheel and it is a really true sleeper no one would expect it especially when you take off at the red light about ran a few tuners some of the new Mustang V6 is the Gallant most people think it might be a joke if they can be tuned up to kick some serious ass.

      Yep the ralliart version of the galant is like the performance muscle version people who don't know cars that well will thank its just a regular galant until they get embarrassed at the light

    Damn i used to have one of these haha. With the 3.8 v6. Then i bought a salvage with the 2.4 I4. Both were pretty damn reliable actually. Big difference with the Ralliart 3.8

      @cedricmiller4370 5 місяців тому

      Yea the ralliart galant with V6 is kinda rare they didn't build many of them but that 3.8 had some muscle would like to see one go against a Maxima
