  • That's right, some of the WNBC Time Machine jingles have been found in stereo! Typically, The Time Machine would broadcast in mono, but now you can listen to these great jingles in stereo!
WNBC wanted to create a show based off WABC's Musicradio era of the 60s.
Program Director, Dale Parsons commissioned PAMS to create jingles for this new format. But instead of the people from Jam Creative Productions, they brought in singers from Ken R. and CPMG to make it sound more authentic to WABC. Some jingles were edited versions of WGH and WABC jingles. Even Dan Taylor and Jim Collins had a hand in making some of these! Dan created his own sonovox, and Jim Collins provided the keyboard overlays. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any more Time Machine jingles in stereo, but I do hope you enjoy what I found! There's even an extra one that I made myself :D

Actually those are the great resings by Jon Wolfert s JAM productions. Jon bought out PAMS and has the old masters. Jon started at PAMS.

Actually, these PAMS resings were produced by Ben Freedman under the CPMG/PAMS moniker and sung in both Dallas and Toledo.

There aren't the versions that actually aired... They were remixed and enhanced by the station's Jim Collins, Dale Parsons and Dan Taylor. I've posted the air versions elsewhere.

@@saidosound Actually, the cuts I have from the station masters were already posted on here by Ellis B. Feaster several years ago. These are the edited cuts as used on the air... in a sampler I made decades ago.

@@tcarman oooh i didn't know you made this sampler! epic :)
ooh forgot to mention, i found most of these on an index from ellwanger.tv. i believe these jingles are sourced from the WNBC: The PAMS Years CD

@@saidosound That would make sense. As I said, they had to be "enhanced" to give them more of an edge to them.
As for the sampler I made... I posted it somewhere and Ellis spotted it and posted it --- which was fine by me. WNBC did have tons of jingles over the years.

    Alternate future:
WFAN-AM (660) and WOR-AM (710) swap their positions on the dial, and the new WOR-AM on 660 changes its name to "66 WNBC" due to the station's affiliation with NBC Radio.

No station can use the WNBC call letters. They are in use on channel 4, the former WNBC-TV. now WNBC (without the TV) So unless the TV station changes call letters there will never be another WNBC radio.
