My favorite have been icon 1000 axys glove. I received these today. Will see how they feel after a break in. Excellent informative review. Thanks

Thanks for the positive comment. I hope you love these gloves as much as I do. I have bought multiple pairs. I recently gave a pair to a friend as a gift who has just gotten back into riding. He loves them too!!!

Have worn many different models of Alpinestars gloves over the years. Great gloves with good looks and upper level protection. This past spring when I bought my Ryker after several years away from riding, I had to buy all new protective gear. After A LOT of research, I purchased a pair of Scorpion EXO SGS MK II Gloves. Never been a big Scorpion gear fan but that may change. Love the fit and protection, especially the knox palm protection. They were 85 bucks from Revzilla. With 45+ years of riding experience, I can say these are great gloves. Thanks for a great video.

Great video Coach Bob and very good advice on gloves (and other gear). Good looking Spyders showcased on Ryder’s Rydes. I want highway pegs too, so will be interested to see what you decide on. Stay safe.

Gotta protect my old hands. I've broken many bones and really don't want to take any more risk than necessary at this point in the game. Gotta keep it safe. I am enjoying the Ryder's Rydes section a lot. It is great to see folks RYDES!!!
I have my Lamonster pegs and Coach Vic's BRP armrests on order. I'll be doing all the install work in "CB3's Geezer Garage"..
Stay safe on the road brother!!!
      Thanks 👍

Great trikes on display; I think mine is too basic for a feature but I love it. I'm like you in that I "mostly" do ATGATT. I usually wear a full face Arai, Joe Rocket jacket and fingered gloves (don't remember who made them). I also have Bohn Armour lowers to wear under my jeans (I call them armored pantie hose) but seldom use them since I moved to three wheels. You have a knack for providing good information and I hope your viewers take your information seriously....I do. BTW, I included your channel in my "featured channels" on my personal UA-cam channel. I think you are in good company. Ryde safe!

Good video especially show casing the Spyders at the end, good idea, hope to get mine in there soon. Got my butt Buffer, yep got the medium shoulda got the large, but I can send it back, or maybe the wife will like it, it just fits the passenger pocket. Gotta make a run to Eustis Tuesday for the short reach bar install, and the brake recall. Carry on!

      .... brake recall??!! Yikes!!
      Is it this one...

Just in case others are unaware.
      Thanks brother. Be safe

Yes, that's it. Some of the early models off the line had a brake support bracket that had minute air bubbles in the metal which could cause a failure under pressure. It was discovered by a worker that dropped the metal support on a cement floor and it cracked. There have been no failures on the road that I know. This is my understanding of the situation, only early VIN numbers are involved.

CoachBob3 when I was younger and crazier, I road dirt bikes in shorts and tennis shoes; graduated to a street legal off road bike and switched to jeans and tee shirt. As I got older, I added a helmet. Now, in the last ten years, I now “dress for the slide, not the ride” and don’t spare a dime being properly protected.
Though admittedly my gloves are not the best, -and your review has me rethinking what I wear. Thanks for this review.

It is by there Grace of God that I'm not dead. I rode my Harley's thousands of miles over a decade...helmetless, fingerless gloves, sleeveless t shirt, jeans and brogans.. I rode in horrendous conditions and irresponsibly insane like a "knucklehead".
Coach Vic tells me I am an addict when it comes to gear... So far.. 3 jackets, 3 pair of gloves..
I need more helmets, boots, jeans....hahaha
      Be safe buddy!

I was not a 2 wheel rider. The Spyder is my first open air vehicle. However, I wear a Joe Rocket Jacket, full finger gloves, and boots. I haven’t bought armored jeans yet. I’m short and most motorcycle pants were not made in my inseam. The helmet is probably my weak-spot. I wear a Shark Evo One 2. I like the chin bar that goes all the way to the back. Stay safe.

I have looked at the Shark Evo One 2... I may pick one up for touring, if not that particular helmet, something similar and modular. It makes things very nice when you can periodically lift that chin bar. I really like the Shoei Neotec...It is just so pricey.
Thanks for the comment!!! I appreciate it.

@@CoachBob3 The LS2 Valiant is the other helmet that the chin bar rotates to the back. It's a little cheaper in price than the Shark.

I wear full gloves they aren't leather but they will provide an extra layer of skin. I like my hands and using them is important. Thanks coach I'm gonna look into better rated gloves
