One of the country’s most wanted men, Mark Acklom has been jailed for five years, eight months after admitting to stealing £300,000 from the woman he promised to marry. A powerful statement was read out from his victim, Carolyn Woods during Acklom’s sentencing after he went on the run, vanishing with the money she loaned him. Ms Woods says her life has been ruined as a result of the life-long fraudster who claimed to be a spy and a millionaire Swiss banker. She joins us as she comes to terms with Acklom’s admission of guilt, breathing a sigh of relief that the man who destroyed her life is finally facing the consequences.
